30th Dec 2023 (17 weeks ago)When selling our house recently, we had quotes from local estate agents and chose Fox and Sons because they actually seemed to care and take an interest in us and our house! We were glad we did as we thought they were fantastic, Beth, Leon and Matt were friendly, helpful, professional and always available to answer any of our questions. (No matter how random they were!) Leon kept us updated throughout the process and we definitely felt that we were in good hands. Whilst Fox and Sons may not be the cheapest option, it was definitely worth it and we would thoroughly recommend them

Definitely worthy of a 5* rating. Our huge thanks to all involved for getting us over the line! Selling your home can be a stressful experience not to mention costly and therefore we wanted the most professional team to help support us through this process. Knight Frank have dedicated people / a team for each area of the sale process, from pulling the property information together, to ensuring you are happy with everything before your property goes live on line. They inform you of viewings and have their own team of people who guide potential purchasers around your property. These people are throughly briefed beforehand and are able to answer most of the purchaser's questions. Once you receive an offer on your property, the next group of professionals play they part in the process. At this stage, our point of contact was Giselle who was an absolute genius in keeping everything ticking along, even when there was a blip with the buyer's solicitor, Giselle was there to keep everything moving forward. The whole team is headed up by Luke Pender-Cudlip, a consummate professional, who has a vast knowledge and experience in this field, and someone you can depend on to get the job done. The communication throughout was excellent via both email and telephone calls so we were kept fully up to speed of how the transaction was progressing throughout. Thanks team."

23rd Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Nice and polite agents and feedback was provided after most of the viewings. 3 stars because the gap between on the market price and expected sale price was too wide. Which resulted to fewer viewings and price reduction after 6 weeks.

Always professional, even when it gets stressful, Helen was a godsend and was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
4th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)Made an appointment a month ago for a house valuation. Day before the appointment received a call cancelling said appointment in order to save petrol. Not impressed at all. Even if they want to do a valuation now my answer would be NO

Benjamin especially was extremely professional and super efficient and you always knew he was at the end of the phone to answer any questions you had. 29th Nov 2023 (21 weeks ago)We had such a great experience with Fortnam Smith & Banwell. From the very first viewing they went above and beyond to help us purchase our first home. Even with a few speed bumps along the way regarding the property they were so quick to take action and communicate with us to ensure everything was covered to relieve us any stress. We were so impressed with how they looked after us and will never hesitate to refer them on. They are a prime example of going the extra mile and it made such a huge difference to the process. Huge thanks to Theresa and Beki for being wonderful!

If they can't answer simple requests I dread their service levels in person.- 8th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

19th Apr 2024 (5 days ago)I signed up with Michaels to sell my home. Initially, during the valuation and walk through, they presented well and gave a good pitch which I felt fitted in with my needs. However, the promises and standards fell short of the expectations set. On the day that the pictures were due to be taken, 20 mins before arrival, the branch manager cancelled as he felt unwell. There was little understanding from them that I had been prepping the house to make it look the best it could and spent all morning cleaning. To suddenly be let down with minimal notice was poor and despite claiming to be very ill, turned up the following day right as rain. The first issues should have been an indication as to how it would have gone but I chose to give then the benefit of doubt and work with them. However, there were still issues, such as having to chase for the EPC and floor plan to be uploaded to the advert which took three weeks after launch and a couple of viewings where the buyers seemed to know little about the property. A few times they had called me to arrange a viewing, we discussed and then would never call me back to confirm the outcome. Again, it just shows a lack of engagement from them. Michaels seemed great but for me and on this occasion, fell short of my expectations and the mandate that they were trying to deliver on.

We had so many problems, but Steve and Izzy were so helpful and friendly.They went out of their to help and solve problems, which should have been sorted by the solicitors. But they were taking so long that Steve got on the case. Never moving again ????.But we would definitely recommend the Bridport team .

I was in a position to move on this as quickly as possible and a viewing was arranged for me straight away. I am very excited to be moving in soon and the experience I had was excellent.
