The communication could have been a bit better and they could’ve been a bit more forth coming with feedback and an idea of how we things were progressing. Viewings overall were fine, except one agent was late to a viewing! Other than that we have been happy with the support and advice we recieved and would recommend them to others looking to buy.

From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and always went above and beyond to ensure we understood every step of the process. Communication was always clear, timely, and they were very responsive to any questions we had (even at stupid o'clock at night!) What really stood out was their attention to detail and the personal service. We never felt like just another client, they truly cared about our needs and preferences. 28th Feb 2025 (26 days ago)Jennifer & Andrew at Avenue Road Estate Agents were an absolute dream to work with! Professional but personal, efficient but not rushed. My property was on the market quickly and I accepted an offer even higher than I was hoping for within two weeks. The photos and listing were of a high standard, the home report and solicitor were organised quickly by them (highly recommend using their recommended solicitor!), and their communication throughout the whole process was spot on. It was my first time selling a property and I felt truly taken care of every step of the way and got an even better, quicker result than expected. I can’t recommend Avenue Road highly enough! Blair was with us all the way from initial contact to point of sale and it really felt like a personal service. He listened to us throughout the marketing/viewing stage and we talked on a near daily basic. We felt had Blair a fantastic knowledge of the housing market, especially in the west of Edinburgh and this is the reason we chose Curran & Co to market our property in Murrayfield. Blair even looked after our property after we had moved out to go travelling prior to the completion date. If you want an individual service I would definitely recommend Blair and Curran & Co. 15th Nov 2024 (19 weeks ago)Overestimated price at quote stage and advised a lower one as soon as home report valuation was received, suggesting upset price 10k below valuation. Little feedback on website viewing figures unless I phoned to request it. Support for property viewings and feedback from viewers was reasonable. Once an offer was received, I had to email and phone Thornton's legal team repeatedly to chase progress. Title deeds were already held by Thornton's, but it took two weeks to scan and email them to the solicitor, delaying written acceptance of the offer beyond the deadline given by the buyer. Solicitor handling my case seemed to think this was normal and deadlines for acceptance of offers were usually ignored. Sale is not yet complete, but I would avoid using the same company for estate agency and legal services in future. It seems to encourage complacency and inefficiency, the opposite of what I expected.
