I cant fault them at all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family and if I ever need them again they will be my first port of call.
24th Jul 2023 (1 year ago)The worst branch I have ever had dealings with. Do not sell a property through these people.- 28th Oct 2024 (21 weeks ago)PLEASE READ AND BEWARE! We had Allen & Harris Helensburgh Branch Manager Clayton McGuiness handle our property Sale, which initially started off in good faith with him coming to assess our property. After a thorough walk through of our property he very confidently gave us a "conservative" Offers Over starting figure we were more than happy with (his words). Clayton came across as the Consumate Professional and we were happy to be guided by his expertise. The next stage was an organised Home Report being carried out and Marketing photo shoot planned in. The date was planned for the photo shoot and the Surveyor arrived on the Monday, advising us we would have the Home Report by the Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday came and went with no Home Report. On the Friday we then had a late phone call from Clayton, who very sheepishly advised that the Home Report came in at a staggering £40,000 lower than his initial "conservative" Offers Over" starting price. To say the wind was completely taken out of our Sails would be a massive understatement. With the snowball effect this MASSIVELY impacted on our house search and bid which was by now completely blown out the water. Consequently, our House Sale and House Purchase fell though completely, leaving us more than £1000 out of pocket in Fees and bitterly disappointed. It is our opinion that either the Helensburgh Allen & Harris Branch Manager or their Surveyor, or both, are completely out of touch with the Housing market. Please tread VERY carefully when choosing your Estate Agent. : Post discussing our concerns with Allen &Harris they refuted and denied all wrong doing and firmly laid the blame at their Surveyors door, Harvey Donaldson Gibson, claiming they were out of touch with reality (A&H Branch Manager Clayton claiming long conversations trying to get them to see reason) and advising us to pursue this avenue of complaint with Harvey Donaldson Gibson. In all honesty, it was the response we expected. One blaming the other. If nothing else but experience is to be gained from this, PLEASE consider your Helensburgh Estate Agent choice carefully. Slater Hogg & Howison apparently is the way forward for Professionalism, Customer satisfaction and overall good Customer relations in Helensburgh. Do NOT be hoodwinked by unprofessional half hearted companies like Allen & Harris. Learn from our experience.

Not a run of the mill sale, a few quirks, but the staff made big efforts to ensure things went as smoothly as possible. Always on hand to answer queries or find answers. ( I had a few). Always patient. Always professional but most of all welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend them. Thank you Baird Lumsden and all of your staff.

24th Feb 2023 (2 years ago)Excellent service throughout, from initial contact to discuss prospects, possible prices and costs, through to finalising the sale of the house. Friendly and professional at every stage with absolutely no pressure applied. Sales materials, from really well-wriiten text to superb videos, including drone footage of the property and surrounds, were outstanding. Good at helping manage the sale, discussing useful changes and following up and reporting back prospective buyer interests and dislikes. I can't imagine the process being handled better. A big thanks to the area director Allan and manager, Seona.

I can honestly say it was the best decision I made as they were so helpful and made the whole process so easy. Fantastic advice and help making what can be a stressful situation a stressless one. Highly recommend them!

I decided to use McArthur Stanton for our recent house purchase and sale as I wanted to use a local firm, but I have never had great service from property lawyers before so, to be frank, I thought it would be more of the same. I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the word go all I got from Linda and Maureen was courtesy, professionalism and outstanding support throughout the whole process. They soothed my fevered brow and brought both purchase and sale to a successful conclusion within the timescales agreed. I would recommend this company - you will not get better.

I felt repeatedly pressured to sell it just so that they would have solicitude in the commission instead of my interests .

27th Dec 2024 (12 weeks ago)We recently purchased a home that was surveyed by Allied Surveyors Scotland. Unfortunately, the survey was significantly inaccurate. The survey failed to identify critical issues like severely rotted gutters and significant roof damage (inspected only from the ground). Areas of damp were inconsistently scored with no explanation as to why. When we raised concerns, David Donnachie was dismissive, unhelpful and patronising. He provided no clear explanations for the inaccuracies and offered no resolution. Despite several requests for specific information, this was blatantly ignored and no apology was ever given for our experience. Avoid Allied Surveyors Scotland. If you're buying a home surveyed by this company, get a second opinion. If you're selling, consider other surveyors. Our experience was deeply disappointing and costly.

We have been blown away by their service with how they handled us, especially keeping calm in somewhat stressful situations. We were never let down from Morgan or Rosscoe. Their knowledge of the market and how to navigate through potentially tricky situations always amazed me. I have no issues recommending them to any readers of this review. A massive thank you again for all your hard work, your out of hours emails to keep us in the loop and fully updated throughout the course of our sale.
