30th Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)We viewed a semi-detached barn conversion in Idbury and Julietta was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This was particularly evident with regard to the appliances etc in the property, a very high priority for my wife, and the problem with garden as the vendor had moved out. She offered to return and send us photographs when the garden had been sorted. She was punctual, friendly, and courteous at all times and I would highly recommend her. Dr Martin Slade
21st Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)Richard and the team at Hamptons Broadway achieved a sale for our house in Broadway very soon after they took it onto their books, when it had been on the market for some time with another agent without success. Their positivity and support gave us back the confidence we needed at a stressful time and led to a successful and happy sale. We have been most impressed with Richard's professionalism and understanding of our needs. Thank you to the whole team for being so nice! We wouldn't hesitate in coming to you again if we ever move again (which we're not planning on doing soon)!
17th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)I was beyond disappointed with Ted George Estate agents. I rented a property and it was a hellish experience. Primarily neither Ted George nor the owners believed they were managing the property and I as the tenant was left with the consequences. My 4 year old daughter and I had no hot water and heat for 2 months, no dishwasher for 3 months, no washing machine for 2 weeks over Christmas, no use of the master bedroom for 3 months due to damp, paid for gardening for a garden that wasn't used. The list goes on. After leaving I still could not get a clear answer on who was meant to be managing this property. As a multiple rental property owner I am shocked and scared of this ambiguity, not just was it a nightmare for a tenant ( who paid on month every time) but with the wrong tenant this could lead to disastrous circumstances. I still can't fathom failing to do proper checks and renting out a home on a long term tenancy with no hot water or heating working. And between both the estate agent and owner deflecting, defending and gas lighting I was made to feel like all the issues such as dodgy plumbing were somehow I the tenants fault. I found them dishonest.

We met with 3 different estate agents and based on the initial meeting decided to move forwards with Jackson-Stops. The process of selling our property was positive and we would highly recommend Rupert and team to do anyone in the area looking to buy or sell a property.

18th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)Not all estate agents are created equal. Knight Frank in Stow on the Wold are an exceptional estate agent, who are changing the narrative around the stereotypical unreliable, insular, expensive service. I cannot recommend Helen Waddilove at Knight Frank highly enough. Persistent, honest, communicative, measured and able to balance the needs of buyer and seller to mutual advantage. We moved to Knight Frank on the recommendation of a friend and we are so glad that we did. Our previous agent lacked initiative and energy, to the point where I was constantly chasing them and unconvinced by their entire operation. Helen represents the polar opposite and I genuinely believe that without her efforts, we would still be trying to sell our home. Moving house is right up there with life's most stressful times. Parting with exorbitant sums of money to arrogant, slothful solicitors and paying ridiculous levels of stamp duty to the government, only adds to the pain. An estate agent can often fall foul of the same disdain, but in Helen's case, the (reasonable) fee was entirely worth the outcome. If you are selling your home, you will not regret working with Helen and Knight Frank at Stow in the Wold. You are going to have to pay a lot of money to someone to sell your home, so it makes sense to select someone who will actually work for you and get the job done.

7th May 2024 (18 weeks ago)Rang them once. Spoke to someone, they didn’t answer after that. Subsequently sent web enquiries through Rightmove and separately, two emails. They responded to nothing. No texts, emails, calls…nothing. Finally, sent them an email telling them what I thought of them. Used to feel sorry for them. No longer . With Savills and Knight Frank over taking them they’re on their way out. They made their choice. They can live with the consequences. Goodbye Butler Sherborne. You had a choice about how you treated me. I will enjoy witnessing your decline.

26th May 2022 (2 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. 16th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)We purchased our house through S&P in 2016 and sold it through them last year. We were very impressed with their professionalism on both occasions. When buying, Simon pressed the sellers to make sure that they took a reasonable position on some items which they proposed to exclude from the sale (at the last minute) and, when we sold, he advised us well on both pricing and prospective purchasers. He also pressed to keep the process moving foreword but without being too pushy. I enjoyed working with him and his colleagues - a very good experience all ways round.
13th Aug 2024 (27 days ago)I initially chose to get 5 separate estate agents to value my late mothers home, of which Zak from HR Estates shone brightly above the others. My initial thoughts and gut instincts served me well as Zak helped us feel at ease and kept us fully informed at every level through the entire experience from day one until completion. I highly recommend this very eager to please and professional young man, he is super polite, makes no false promises, a man of his word and the total opposite of the stereotypical estate agent. His calm and friendly but totally professional approach made a difficult time so so much easier and bearable. If you read this Zak once again thank you for everything, we truly are grateful.

After trying to sell the property via the usual local high street estate agent, without success, I heard about Robert and his company and moved to him. His very professional and thorough approach was in stark contrast to the previous estate agency. The new sales brochure was 100% better, both in the photography and accompanying text. Robert was very supportive, as was the rest of his team. They kept me informed throughout and the property was sold in the predicted timescale. I would highly recommend his estate agency.
