14th Jun 2025 (24 days ago)Unfortunately after careful consideration I have decided to speak out. A week ago following a phone call where I enquired about a property and was duly qualified by a lovely lady called Daisy, then booked a viewing for yesterday. This particular property is in need of restoration so Daisy and I had a lengthy conversation about it. I then called a few days later to ask if I could bring along my builder and surveyor which was agreed with no issues. I then moved my meetings and booked myself half a day off work and my builder had to re arrange meetings to be there too . At almost 5pm on the eve of the viewing (yesterday)I missed a call from the estate agents and no voicemail was left. I called and was then put through to Jay. He quickly informed me he had completed a sale “just now” on the property. At no point in the lead up to the viewing was this made clear that it was under offer. I have waisted everyone’s time and it just doesn’t feel quite right. I have unsubscribed from their mailouts and won’t be returning to Jackson-Stops, as I just won’t work under that type of partnership. I have just re reviewed this feedback as I was really surprised and pleased to receive a call from Jay the following day based around this review. We had a good open conversation and agreed it would have be helpful to have known there were offers on this property, we both had a better understanding of my frustrations and agreed to keep in touch should anything change. Will and his colleague were more than helpful,going out of their way to obtain the information I needed ,when in reality they could just have pointed me in the right direction. Very happy to recommend this Hunters branch based on their professional and friendly help.

16th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)This is not the first time we have used Blenkin&co. We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.
23rd Nov 2024 (7 mo. ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.

24th Mar 2025 (15 weeks ago)Living in a rented Property 'managed' by linley and Simpson. We have found ourselves without a working boiler for over a week, NO hot water, nothing. Also a leak under the kitchen floor, which is flooding the place. Our landlord has phoned, we phoned, I had the phone put down on me. Result NOTHING. !!.

Communication, feedback, advise and professionalism were second to none and I couldn’t recommend Andrew highly enough to do him justice

From the very first viewing to completion, they were professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. David in particular went above and beyond to keep things moving and to ensure that communication between all parties was smooth and transparent. His calm, reassuring approach made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable. It's rare to find an estate agent team that combines efficiency with such a personal touch. I’m incredibly grateful to them for helping me secure a property which I am truly delighted with. Highly recommended!
22nd Jul 2024 (11 mo. ago)I have dealt with thomlinsons for nearly 13 years and have always found the staff to be friendly if I had any issues they were dealt with as soon as they could I have mostly dealt with Jane Bruce at wetherby what a lovely lady Jane is my emails and calls were always replied to as soon as possible I have not ever not had a response Jane is knowledgeable on all aspects of housing matters and is a kind caring lady I would not hesitate to use thomlinsons again

28th Jun 2025 (10 days ago)Very mixed bag with Tom. He was very pleasant and helpful when he was signing me up for a tenancy, which I paid in full, but the after care was quite poor. Pre-agreed terms were not met until I pushed for them to be met, and coming towards the end of the tenancy, he seems to be attempting to label enforcement of legally binding terms as "aggressive and childish" and called me a "knob". Definitely a buyer beware situation.
19th Jun 2025 (19 days ago)Monroe were the Estate Agents for the house that we were purchasing, and we also used them for the sale of our house. The transaction itself was relatively convoluted and drawn out because our original buyer dropped out; it was difficult to find a new buyer due to the time of year; the house we were purchasing was re-listed; the new buyer for our house was lackdasical in nature; those we were buying from were waiting on a new build to be built which ended up significantly behind schedule; there were various negotiations / re-negotiations with our buyer and seller due to changing market conditions, and the discovery of asbestos in the house we were purchasing. In summary, a difficult transaction, which at numerous different times over the 9 months it went on for had many issues and nearly totally collapsed. Monroe dealt with it all well, and did what was needed to ultimately get the chain to completion. It helped that they are a modest size and local Estate Agents, so they were very involved: Isabelle (Sales), Inez (After Sales) and Leanna (Owner). In short, a job well-done in particularly challenging circumstances.
