25th May 2023 (3 years ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!
21st Oct 2026 (12 days ago)I cannot thank Emma and Joe at William H Brown enough for all their support throughout the renting process. They were incredibly kind, patient, and professional every step of the way. Whenever I had questions or concerns, they were always there to help and provide reassurance.
Thanks to their dedication and commitment, the whole experience was far easier and more enjoyable than I expected. It is clear that they genuinely care about their clients and go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive estate agency team. Thank you, Emma and Joe, for all your hard work and help. It was truly appreciated! ?????
8th Oct 2026 (25 days ago)Excellent service
5th Jun 2026 (21 weeks ago)Have used the lettings side for over 20 years and now I've sold the property used their sales team and I cannnot recommend them enought. Great service and always working with your interests at heart
24th Oct 2024 (2 years ago)The agent arranged an open day and provided 10 viewers. They booked additional viewers but sold our home within 15 days.
23rd Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.
24th Jun 2021 (5 years ago)Never really felt like my property was a priority to Myrings, didn't get a lot of viewings, the ones I did I had to do them, was told I had priced it too high......they set the price!
18th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)I chose Stephensons because they are a long and well established Estate Agency with a good reputation. Although the sale was long and complicated due to circumstances over which nobody had control, the final result was achieved and everything went ahead smootly. The whole process was very professional from start to finish, Sue and Nathan were always available to clarify questions and I am glad that I stood by my decisión to have them handle everything. Thank you!
17th Aug 2022 (4 years ago)Frustrating at times, but got the job done. Would use a local agent next time instead of international.
20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Having rented a property managed by Nicholls Tyreman, I can confidently say that our experience with this company has been absolutely appalling.
Throughout our tenancy, we experienced repeated maintenance problems, including issues with shutters and blinds, hot water, a fly infestation and the upkeep of the grounds. Getting matters addressed was often a frustrating process involving repeated chasing.
Despite these issues, when it came to renewing our tenancy, we were faced with demands for a substantial rent increase and ultimately a Section 21 notice when we could not agree terms.
However, the worst part of our experience came when we vacated the property.
Having paid a significant deposit, Nicholls Tyreman sought to deduct an astonishing sum for redecoration, woodwork and for flooring.
It is remarkable how maintenance issues can be so difficult to resolve during a tenancy, yet when a tenant leaves, thousands of pounds of alleged remedial work suddenly becomes necessary.
The entire experience has left us with the impression that the interests of tenants come a very distant second.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through Nicholls Tyreman to document absolutely everything, retain every email, photograph the property's condition and be extremely cautious when it comes to their deposit.
We have rented properties before and have never experienced anything quite like this.
In my opinion, the professionalism, fairness and standard of customer service have been completely unacceptable.
I would never use Nicholls Tyreman again and would strongly advise prospective tenants to consider other agents.
One star is one too many.
14th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)FSS recently assisted us to secure a rental in Harrogate for my mother who was returning from overseas. This made the process quite complicated but FSS, particularly Katie Hardstaff, managed the challenge very effectively and with utmost professionalism and patience, going above and beyond to assist us.
17th Sep 2021 (5 years ago)From start to finish, I was well looked after by Hopkinson's. Each member of the team went over and above to ensure my purchase was seamless, and kept me informed at every stage. They were professional, courteous and made my first house purchase memorable for all the right reasons. Can't thank them enough!
27th Oct 2026 (6 days ago)Linley and Simpson gave us a great service in securing our let. Megan in particular was extremely professional, efficient and friendly, steering us through the whole process. I would definitely recommend this agency and just want to say a big thank you to Megan.
27th Dec 2019 (6 years ago)Standard letter issued on valuation which didn’t even relate to my property
9th Jun 2023 (3 years ago)I am really thankful that I decided to stay with sherirongtons!! They are so good in taking care of their tenants! Its justa one message away and they will immediately assist you with your concerns!!! Kudos to Neil!!!!
6th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)This is the best agent BAR NONE in North Yorkshire.
20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Professional
I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.
Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.
Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.
26th Mar 2026 (7 mo. ago)I have dealt with many estate agents over the last 55 years and Andrew Hill is by far the most professional, knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend his team!
22nd Jul 2024 (2 years ago)I have dealt with thomlinsons for nearly 13 years and have always found the staff to be friendly if I had any issues they were dealt with as soon as they could I have mostly dealt with Jane Bruce at wetherby what a lovely lady Jane is my emails and calls were always replied to as soon as possible I have not ever not had a response Jane is knowledgeable on all aspects of housing matters and is a kind caring lady I would not hesitate to use thomlinsons again
22nd Oct 2026 (11 days ago)They’ve really made things easy for me struggled with a couple things but they helped me
22nd Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Useless company. Don't trust what they say
14th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)I had a postive experience staying at 200, Burley Road. The property is really nice, well maintained and newly refurbished. I always reached out to Lucy in case of any issues (which was very rare) and she resolved it within 2-3 working days.
13th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)Rude They changed my property price daily without my permission. They lower price to less than what i pay for it, Then they put the price 10 times higher than what I pay for it. This is bulling tactic
1st Jun 2023 (3 years ago)Scott at North Residential could not have been more proactive, professional and diligent in his approach to selling our house. In comparison to previous agents, his communication and work ethic was off the scale. Can not recommend highly enough.
