We found him to be realistic, candid, professional and personable. He was willing to go the extra mile to help us in selling the property, kept us well informed throughout the sale and was always available for advice when needed. We would highly recommend him and his team.
14th Mar 2024 (6 mo. ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

27th Feb 2024 (6 mo. ago)Requested a home report in June 2023, none given. Asked my solicitor to request it, no response. Asked in February 2024 for another report and June 2023 report, no response. Spoke to one of the agents on the telephone once. He kept referring to me as sir despite me telling him numerous times I'm a Miss. Unprofessional and I feel sympathy for their clients who are using them to sell their property. They unfortunately aren't aware that they simply don't respond to requests for home reports so they're sat on the market for prolonged periods. Avoid.
25th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)When I decided to sell my house in Barrhill I consulted with the long established agent who sold the house to us, some 16 years before. He quoted a sale figure with which I was happy. I was chatting socially with a dear friend who once worked with Kevin Doyle at 'Bruach' and she suggested that I get a second opinion from them. Without even seeing the house Kevin told me that he could achieve a fair asking price, some 30(% above the quote obtained from the original agent. He and Karen his negotiator were dulying instructed., Many hours were spent with drones and cameras and within 4 days an extremely professional brochure was submitted for my approval before being lodged with 'Rightmove'. To my utter astonishment an offer was made (after viewing) at over the asking price within 5 days of hitting the Internet and the sale eventually concluded successfully. If you want an honest, accurate, objective and achievable outcome totally unencumbered by local entrenched attitudes and practices, then Bruach should be your first stop. If you want a personable, professional team on your side with a healthy dose of excellent advice leavened by good humour then you will find all of these with Kevin and Karen. I recommend Bruach without reservation and am happy to speak to any of their clients, whether buying or selling, to underpin and confirm this review. James D
31st May 2024 (15 weeks ago)We used GAP estate agent to sell our property. All the staff were friendly and excellent in their communication with us. Every query or matter was dealt with promptly. A special thanks to Laura and Jan who we mainly dealt with. Laura certainly went that extra mile to help wherever she could. We were also recommended a local couple for conducting viewings and they were excellent. Overall a very good experience and we would recommend GAP. Thank you.

Initial phone call with Helena was a little disconcerting as she appeared to lack interests and enthusiasm, however we were on a short timescale and asked Helena to place a bid on a house we were wanting to buy. The offer date came and went, and we heard nothing. We emailed Helena to see if there was an update, but we got no response. Finally we called the estate agent and they informed us our bid was unsuccessful and she had notified Helena three weeks ago. Very disappointed with the service and will be going else where for any future business.

3rd Sep 2024 (13 days ago)Couldn't have been happier with the support and service we received from Ian at Strutt & Parker in relation to our flat purchase. He was always responsive and clear in his communication with us and nothing was too much trouble. As first time New Town residents he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with contacts and information. The vendors made a great choice of agent.
4th Jun 2024 (15 weeks ago)Absolutely appalling service ! Sent in forms on Friday 31st May regarding a rental property at Carseloch Rd Ayr, we offered 6 months rent upfront on top of the 2 months deposit. We received a reply from Samantha Outten quoting “Many thanks for your applications, we will get back to you about a viewing in due course.” We called on Tuesday 4th June to see if there was any update, only to be told there was a block viewing on Saturday 1st June that we were never told about and the landlord had picked one of the viewers. When we asked if we would have been informed that our offer was not successful, we were told “we sometimes have up to 50 applicants for a property so………” Excuse me but if you have up to 50 applicants then you will contact 49 applicants and tell them they have not been successful. That would be the professional and decent thing to do. We were also told that it states in their wording that if we don’t hear back then we weren’t successful. Actually it states in your wording that you will respond within 5 days. Oh and then the girl on the phone actually hung the phone up mid conversation. As landlords ourselves we have never treated any tenant or potential tenant in the manner that the staff of Galbraith’s have today, and the fact that there are dozens of applicants for every property these days does not give you the right to be as unprofessional and ungrateful as you are.

30th May 2024 (16 weeks ago)Unfortunately, this is the third Historic Scotland site I have visited in Dumfries within 4 days that has been closed, with the same signs and no hint of when it might reopen. It's a nice walk across the nature reserve to see the castle from a distance but ultimately it's currently a walk with a view of a castle. It's a shame you can't even go on the boat and walk around the outside, even if you can't go inside.

Delighted with the amount of people they brought to view property during the four weeks it was on the market. Absolutely delighted with Brooke who was so lovely to work with and so professional. Brooke kept me up to date with everything that was going on and provided a splendid service. WELL DONE ????

If your buying a property and DM Hall have done the home report please please check everything as they just tick everything off as ok without checking and from what I hear they take payments from sellers to make reports more attractive. Just check everything as they are not to be trusted.

His extensive knowledge of the local market allowed us to set the value of our house to reflect the current housing market. The process was painless as Michael sold our home before listing on the open market, therefore allowing us to make an offer on our new forever home. Was again through Mountgreenan Property.
5th Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
