25th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)Have used Ascend for 4 years to manage my flat in Liverpool. During the pandemic they found poor tenants with minimal vetting, carried out no inspections (even after restrictions were lifted). After I made my own inspection I had to alert them to the problems they were missing. When the tenant left my place in an aweful state, their own agent admitted this was terrible. Finally, I received demands from debt collectors for unpaid council tax bills from a void period that the agent never passedon to me. Ascend claim they never received the 3 reminders from the council and refused to take any liability for their mismanagement. I lost £600 in fees and a significant knock to my own credit rating. A large agency that likes to charge management fees but doesn't actually manage. Stay clear - I'm sure there are better options out there!

7th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)I was impressed by their knowledge of property prices in the area, leading to a realistic valuation and quick sale. The property was marketed overnight. We had a number of buyers in the first week, several of which made offers. They kept me in touch at all times and were very friendly and helpful on the phone. The sale went through very smoothly.

The initial appointment was promising but as i had to go into hospital for two weeks, that slowed things down initially BUT after that we made six calls to the office asking them to get things moving and asking for the manager to call us back but he never returned our calls. Eventually i rang again and told whoever answered that they may as well take the property back off the market as they werent communicating with us and seemed disinterested to which the reply was "okay then". It took 2 weeks for them to remove the sales board and we heard nothing back from the manager and no apology or explanation.
