15th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would advise extreme caution to anyone buying a property through Roger Dean Estate Agents. My experience revealed a deeply concerning lack of professional integrity and fair dealing. During my attempted purchase, the agency instituted a strict "Best and Final Offer" process. However, immediately after I submitted my final bid, the agent (Grace Lees) contacted me to solicit an additional £10,000. When I refused, the agent admitted in the same phone call that she had already been instructed by the vendor to accept my original offer if I declined the increase. I escalated this conduct to The Property Ombudsman (TPO). Following a formal investigation, the Ombudsman’s written findings confirmed that these specific events and manipulative negotiation tactics occurred exactly as I described them. If you are a buyer dealing with this agency, be fully aware that their "deadlines" and "best and final" processes may be entirely manipulative tactics designed to extract more money from you under false pretenses. Proceed with caution.

Communication was always clear, prompt and professional, and he kept me updated at every stage of the process. Nothing was too much trouble, and any questions or concerns were dealt with efficiently and helpfully. Buying and moving house can be stressful, but Joe helped make the whole process as smooth as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Maurice Kilbride to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. Thank you for all your help.

When I asked questions about the property, I was told that they were questions for the office, which left us feeling unable to get the information we needed during the viewing. We had several viewings with other estate agents today, and they were warm, friendly, and greeted us with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, this was not our experience at this viewing. Both my husband and I felt that the atmosphere was unwelcoming, and we left feeling disappointed by the overall experience

13th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)Reduced it within a week of being on the market so just shows they got the valuation so wrong. Communication was very poor. Only had two viewings first I had to chase feedback. Never given feedback from the last viewing. When I gave notice I was emailed to say 3 viewings had taken place. They had not. We have changed estate agents as a result of poor service.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Natalie Hughes showed me around two lots of properties over the last few weeks. Her knowledge of the area, and property expertise proved pivotal in helping me have clarity in my decision and having my offer accepted, which I am extremely grateful for. A big thanks to Dan as well for helping finalise the acceptance offer. A+++

She kept us updated at every stage of the transaction, liaised effectively with the vendors, and was always happy to help with any information we needed.<br><br>Buying a house can be a stressful process, but Abi's communication and support helped make everything run as smoothly as possible. 22nd Jun 2026 (5 days ago)The worst service ever, i have just rented a property from bentley hurst and i have faced the worst service ever i received the property in the most felthy way no one clean anything after the previous guest and they scam me by sending the inventory report before they handing me the key after i reported the cleaning situation they responded was wait and we will send the cleaner to clean the property i refused and left the key i asked them to clean the property and change the move in date , ofc i had to keep calling them as they haven’t updated me for 2 days , and tell now didn’t receive the key for my letter box or even an apology, they wont even deserve a 1 star review, pay more than 5k for this property and the guarantor and dealing with this now ,even though he building concierge mention he received to many complaints on this agency, you don’t wanna rent from this agency
