3rd Jul 2024 (24 days ago)Wallasey branch of Bakewell & Horner has an excellent professional and friendly team From initial contact they explained without pressure their procedures and then went ahead and sold my mothers house within a week. The team then went ahead and handled all aspects of the sale to conclusion keeping me well informed throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bakewell & Horner
30th Jun 2021 (3 years ago)Initially I was really happy with the service the Lettings team provided, well actually, just Tony. I negotiated a reduced price for finding tenants thou what I wasnt told at this point is this would result in a very poor after sales service. The final tenant moved in a month ago and I am still waiting for the meter readings for four apartments plus some unsigned documentation, now waiting for a copy of thier complaints procedure. My advice....AVOID if you want a complete professional service.
9th Jul 2024 (18 days ago)I had a great experience renting a property through Bridgfords Sales and Letting Agents in Sale. The communication from Rheanna was outstanding and supported us with a quick turnaround from application to moving in. Would definitely recommend!

14th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)I am a currently renting through Thomas Merrifield and have been blown away by the service the team have provided to us, which most letting agents don't even scratch the service of. They have effiecent systems for logging issues, and they have always been swift, courteous and fully considerate of the Tennant. I thought I'd leave a (unrequested!) Google review just to help recognise them, especially this branch. Thank you for being outstanding=)
11th Jun 2024 (7 weeks ago)I experienced discrimination whilst trying to rent a property. I have been told that they cannot take me or my family on their books as my son doesn’t earn enough! My disabled daughter is in receipt of PiP and I am a full time carer. Our benefits were not even taken into consideration. We were just told no and in no uncertain terms to not apply again. I am sure that between the three of us we would meet the requirements needed. I am also sure that it is against the law to refuse someone a tenancy because they are on benefits. I was almost accepted by the landlord when I first viewed a property.. it sounded promising, I was told when I rang the agents after the viewing, to take a deposit to the estate agent the following morning and they would hold the property for us.. only to get a message saying someone else had paid a deposit between the phone call late afternoon and 9am as the estate agents doors opened. I went there (on the train) to pay my deposit to be told the lady on the phone shouldn’t have told me to bring a deposit. They needed paperwork first. I sent over all the documents they needed. But I feel they had already made their decision. It wasn’t us! I will not waste my time with this estate agent again. To save yourself disappointment and unnecessary upset I advise you do the same

18th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)We have a property that is fully managed by Leaders. Since Feb we requested for a mid term inspection report as the current tenancy ends in Aug. It is now June and we still have no response from them whether the inspection is done or not despite numerous emails and calls. Time and time again Leaders have failed us. Every time I am the one having to contact Leaders so they can give an update. At no point have they even attempted to notify us the status. When we do get hold of someone, for some reason unexplained, we randomly get assigned with a different property managers who none have a clue what is happening. The lack of organisation and communication is really poor, one minute they say the inspection has been scheduled, next minute they say it has not been booked cos the property manager has been off ill! Lots of broken promises! Wonder what excuse they will come up with next time!
11th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)My daughter and son in law were unlucky enough to have dealings with these people and have ended their tenancy paying what in my view are extortionate fees to the landlords, who it seems are looking for every possible excuse to retain my daughters deposit. Equally they have insisted on charging my daughter rent for periods in which she was not in occupancy as she helpfully found alternative accommodation when the landlords demanded they vacate at short notice, despite having a child under 4 in the house.
16th Jul 2024 (11 days ago)They were very friendly and know the area well. The valuation was accurate as the other agents we saw all gave the same figure. The listing looked good and generated a lot of attention, however there was no conversion of viewings to offers, and no clear reason why this was the case. I'm sure we could have left the property listed with them for longer and it would have sold eventually but we did not have the time or energy for ongoing ad hoc viewings.
18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
