18th Dec 2025 (5 weeks ago)I moved my house sale to Alastair Summerfield at Strutt & Parker Shrewsbury after not getting a sale as quickly as expected for it through an online estate agent. The house photos and online brochure through S&P were excellent and the guide price was realistic, both showing a better understanding of the local housing market than my previous experience. Alastair and his team always seemed approachable, honest, and helpful. I’m really pleased to have got a house sale and would have no doubts about recommending them to anyone else.
9th Feb 2022 (3 years ago)I would highly recommend Balfours, Allister and his team worked extremely hard to sell my mothers property recently keeping as well I formed and giving good advice throughout. Would definitely use this estate agency again!
14th Jul 2025 (6 mo. ago)My fiancè and I scheduled a viewing with Steven Jakeman on a property at Rothley Drive in Shrewsbury for tomorrow morning July 15th 2025. We emailed Mr Jakeman this evening as we'd noticed that the property had been re-advertised as let STC. Steven hadn't had the decency to contact us to cancel the scheduled viewing. Would not recommend this estate agents.

27th Aug 2025 (22 weeks ago)I am not qualified to review Halls as an organisation, but I am eminently qualified to review the help given to me by the delightful member of staff who dealt with my consignment, which was directly connected with Stalag Luft III and the Great Escape. If other members of staff at Halls share even half the fine attributes of Caroline Dennard, then I suspect that the organisation itself deserves five stars too. At a very difficult time in my life, following the death of my wife, Caroline was unstinting in her labours, her empathy and her professionalism. She did more to honour the memory of the remarkable wartime RAF officer, whose memorabilia I was reluctantly having to sell, than I could ever have hoped for, even arranging for additional research by Doctor Steve Bond. Her hard work and kindness both yielded great dividends, for she not only helped soothe my suffering soul, but also bettered the auction's guide price. Most important, she put my beloved step-father's memory and medals into the hands of someone who would understand and value them.

6th Jan 2026 (19 days ago)After having what we felt was an unsatisfactory service from one agent we decided to put the property on the market with Miller Evans who provided an excellent service. The property was revalued at a more realistic selling price and their communication, especially their attitude to enquiries was first class. They provided a hassle free, smooth and most considerate service.

8th Jan 2026 (17 days ago)From the initial call to the office in Shrewsbury, I was met with a friendly conversation to pass my details to Alex who I had been recommended highly by a friend. Alex promptly called back, listened to my needs and set an appointment to view my property for a valuation. Even on his last morning prior to Christmas, Alex carried out the survey and even emailed the full details before breaking for Christmas. Very honest advice offered following the visit as well as a follow up call to ensure all was as per our conversation. Would highly recommend Holland and Broardbridge for advice, valuation and sale if required.

Darren and the team have been friendly and professional, keeping me updated and reassured at all times. Communication has been excellent and their advice and experience invaluable.

26th May 2022 (3 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.
24th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Found them to be extremely arrogant, who complains about a purchasers solicitor being on holiday in the middle of the school holidays. Obviously never sold a property in the summer before. Then expects the purchaser to let the vendor to be able to enter the property after contracts and payment have been made. Typical expectation of estate agents, middle men who do nothing and treat purchasers like dirt. Can't wait for the housing market to stop and the boot is on the other foot, and estate agents have to earn a living.
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

17th Jul 2025 (6 mo. ago)If there was an award for estate agent of the year, Emily would win it. Professional, reliable and delivers. Sold our house within hours, we recommended her to friends who had their house on with someone else for 4 months and not one viewing. Emily sold it in a weekend. Another friend has a somewhat quirky house, not sold in the last 2 years. Emily has it under offer in a couple of weeks. Dont use anyone else, EweMove will sell it.
