16th Oct 2024 (14 weeks ago)Worst agents ever met. The house is totally a mess when we moved in. Quite dirty everywhere. We have to ask for leave to clean the house. The agent promised to find someone to help us clean the kitchen, repair the toilets, clean the carpet and sofa. However, no one shown up till now. We have moved in two weeks. There are no chairs for the kitchen table. We have to stand in the kitchen for each meal. It is ridiculous.

I don't feel valued as a customer, the way she dealt with our process of buying a house was not professional and very confusing. I would never recommend this agency for any of my friends and I will not be buying a house with them.

I have found AJ and the team to be very helpful, understanding of needs and have done all the hard work behind the scenes to help me source a great rental, taking so much burden off my shoulders. I would recommend as a tenant and for those landlords the team will listen to your needs and the type of tenant you require and deliver. My landlord was very pleased to rent her home to me. I paid on time every month, and minor issues resolved speedily and have had nothing to complain about. Would definitely use Moorlands again. Thank you so much AJ.
20th Dec 2024 (5 weeks ago)Avoid this estate agent at all costs! My experience with Gemma Carter (Assistant Manager) and Samantha Moate (Managing Director) has been appalling. The boiler hasn’t worked properly since I moved in, and I was told to buy an oil heater at my own expense and wait 23 days for a repair. A collapsed roof with water dripping onto electricals wires was met with no urgency. Gemma failed to address these critical issues, and Samantha called me to discuss the problems but was rude, hostile, and talked over me the entire time. They clearly think it’s acceptable to live in a property with a non-functioning boiler, a leaking roof, and mould and damp throughout. The property was clearly not checked before being rented out, leaving my daughter and me in unsafe and uninhabitable conditions. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for tenant welfare is disgraceful—this so-called 'estate agent' should be ashamed of how they treat their tenants. I've attached pictures of the boiler that the Managing Director claimed was not on the inventory report, and also some pictures as to how the property was on day 1.

From the initial appraisal, I appreciated their candid approach. They produced fantastic marketing material which really helped to set the property apart from the competition. Jonathan provided invaluable advice when it came to assessing offers, helping me to arrive at one that was proceedable . They successfully managed sales progression of a time pressured chain, ensuring a successful outcome for all stakeholders, I could not recommend their services more highly and would not hesitate to use their services in future.

18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

She was so helpful throughout the whole process. Gemma and Danielle also kept us fully informed and provided an excellent service. We highly recommend Martin & Co as the service we got from the whole team was exceptional.
