I recently had a disappointing experience with this letting agents. After taking time out of my busy schedule and commuting 35 minutes for a house viewing, I arrived at the property only to wait for 15 minutes with no sign of an agent. When I called the office, I was informed that they had sent a text message confirming the appointment 15 minutes earlier. As I don't use my phone while driving, I had not received any notification.
This lack of communication and consideration for customers' time is unacceptable. Customer service skills were clearly lacking in this situation. It is essential for businesses to understand that clients' time is valuable, and failing to communicate effectively can result in a negative experience.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be using their services again. Improvement in communication and customer service is necessary for a better client experience.

Having such a bad experience with the majority of the estate agent 'big players' in Wakefield...even being discriminated against by one for being outside of Yorkshire...I popped into Martin & Co to see if they could help. I started a job in Leeds and desperately needed a place to move following 7 rejections from other agents..
Monay and Leah from Martin and co treated myself and my partner excellently and with concentrated customer service instead of a way to make a quick buck...they pushed hard to get myself and my partner our dream place and in time for my job start...their service is priceless...Leah even checked in yesterday to make sure the move went well.
All I can say is if you want an estate agent who will treat you with value...and as a human being...check these guys out ...they deserve the business more than their competitors.

I dealt with Leah most of the time. I was looking at renting and she explained everything in an easy to understand way, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. She answered all the questions I had and within a few short weeks of seeing a property I was able to move in.

I have had an overall experience with Martin & Co for about 1 year, they are quite professional, and on point.
There is a representative by the name of Leah, she is the best agent I ever encountered over the years. Caring, always answering your issues, and doing her very best to assist and resolve whatever query you might have.
And fair, most importantly, fair, they will make sure everything goes smoothly, and both landlord and property renter or buyer are satisfied with the overall experience.

I have been really happy with the service from Wakefield Martin & Co who are now managing my property and letting it to tenants. I was a little worried about it but Jas gave me all the information I needed and excellent advice to support me in making the decisions needed. They had the property on the market within a couple of days and found tenants within a week working round my schedule and responding to queries within minutes! Martin &Co Wakefield are very pleasant to deal with however their valuation was at the top end of the scale, which in hindsight has delayed us.
My main issue was the lack of communication, whenever I called them, they were “just about to call me.” We eventually had one viewing in the 6 months we were with them and when I asked if they’d had any feedback, their response was that they couldn’t get in touch with them.
So all in all very disappointing, even in the present situation.

We've have been in touch with Martin and co since early October after making an offer on a house,The house viewings were done at the correct scheduled times and in a proffesional way. Staff knew alot about each property and no question was unanswered. Hannah has been amazing, so polite, proffesional and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Ive used Martin and co to manage a property of mine, they have been terrible from start to finish, they lie frequently about having done things, they send trades people that are clearly not trades people and are nothing but a set of cowboys. They cause more damage trying to botch things and having to then pay for jobs putting right by actual trades people. Who when they look at the jobs can't stop laughing. Theres no communication and the first time you know they have sent people out to the house is when the rent is paid short. Please all take this as a warning there are much better more professional management agents in Wakefield.

I've rented through them for 8 months now and anytime there has been even the slightest issue its been sorted out immediately. Booking in through the property portal or directly with Danielle, everything has be a breeze.

Martin & Co were absolutely amazing at dealing and communicating with us regarding our house move. Danielle was so helpful at making sure she kept us informed of the progress, which was extremely appreciated as it made the whole move less stressful. We went to look around the property and instantly fell in love and knew that this is where we wanted to live. During the visit we signed and paid the deposit and then the property was taken off the market while checks were completed - this is a massive advantage to using Martin & Co as they make you well valued as a tenant and not just another application. All the checks were highly professional and the move in date was decided to best suit us. During our time at the property any issues have been dealt with immediately and with highly professional work - I feel that the company choose the best people to complete the jobs and the jobs that we have had completed have all been to high standard. Highly recommend this agent.

After a very stressful few weeks of our house purchase falling through, Jas and his team were absolutely fantastic at making the whole process of finding a rental property so hassle free. Our request to view at short notice was accommodated by Olivia and we were able to get everything sorted within a week. Nearly all aspects were completed electronically which was brilliant and made everything run so smoothly.

Wish 0 stars was an option, months of contacting them using website, phone and even 3rd party websites. Getting the same reply of that the property isent available yet as the tenant hasn't moved out and has no set date to move out. so i would be assured that i would be contacted when a viewing is available. 4 months later still no reply's so i keep calling every few weeks. Then suddenly someone has viewed the property and it is let agreed already with no effort to contact me from this estate agent. i would also like to point out that every time i was told that i would be contacted back at a later date when its available they would make no effort to take my contact info and i had to force it on them showing they had no interest in contacting me back in the first place. never use this estate agent.

Our family had an outstanding services from this Estate Agent from Wakefield and I would like to share our gratitude here.
From the beginning until the closure of the services it was always polite, knowledgable and prompt to respond and reply any requests from small to big and there was times that even outside working hours which you would not normally get from most business, let alone estate agents, specially the big ones.
If you are looking for personalisation work and undivided attention, this is it. I don't think we can get better than this.

Very simple process to move in.

My wife and I used the services of Martin & Co to handle a house sale and purchase back in November 2018. Jas was our key contact and was extremely helpful throughout the process, however his skills came in to their own when we had an unexpected turn of events. A similar style house on the same street was put up for sale £10k less than ours meaning our buyer wouldn’t pay what we needed to proceed (we were on help to buy at the time). We were contemplating pulling out of the purchase of the house M&Co had that we adored, however Jas stepped in and was able to renegotiate the sale price down by £10k to offset our buyers offer. This allowed the transaction to proceed and we are now the proud owners of a beautiful detached house that we are slowly renovating this year. Thanks Jas for all your support!
