21st Aug 2024 (1 year ago)The house we are selling was bought through Whitegates Cleckheaton and had found them very helpful , so when we put it up for sale we went back to the them. After 10 months and a variety of "problems" [being asked to conduct viewing ourselves, not getting constructive feedback etc] we reluctantly cancelled with them .

29th Jun 2026 (29 days ago)I contacted David Hill to enquire about a quotation for a survey and to understand what his service included. Throughout our correspondence, I repeatedly asked a straightforward question about the cost of the survey. Rather than receiving a clear quotation, I was sent several very long emails that were difficult to follow and often did not answer my question directly.<br><br>Much of the correspondence focused on qualifications, court experience and a copy of his CV, rather than providing a direct answer to my request for a quotation.<br><br>As a prospective client, I made it clear that there was no urgency and that he could take whatever time he needed to prepare a quote. I also provided the information requested about the property. Despite this, the conversation became increasingly confrontational.<br><br>I was particularly disappointed by comments such as telling me to "educate yourself", suggesting that I was wasting his time, and eventually asking me never to contact him again. I found this surprising and unprofessional, especially as I was simply carrying out due diligence before committing to a significant purchase.<br><br>I cannot comment on the quality of his surveying work because I did not instruct him. However, based on my experience, I found the communication to be dismissive, unnecessarily confrontational, and lacking the professionalism I would expect when making an initial enquiry.

Although neither my brother nor myself are local, I could tell Mark was a man of integrity on our first meeting and knew Watsons would help us achieve the best price possible. Their whole process was handled professionally, and we are delighted with the service we received and of course the result. Many thanks!

25th Jun 2018 (8 years ago)Locat Agency rented out our two-bedroom flat to a family (5-6 members) in 2015. The Agency recommended this family and they have been well known to the agency. During their residency in that flat, we lost our appliances and all the time we received phone calls from the neighbours regarding the unacceptable behaviour of the tenant. Locat defended them all along. When they moved out of the flat four months ago, they left it in a horrible condition. Broken entrance door window, no window handles, no appliances (dishwasher, washing machine which has been changed and bought a brand new one less than two years ago, fridge and freezer) and too much dirt everywhere (kitchen, bathroom and toilet, broken tiles bathroom panel are the examples of what they left behind. When they moved to the flat, it was in an excellent condition, then they put a nasty wallpaper and also made more than 40 holes on the walls. Generally, I should say I had to spend a fortune to make it reasonable again. All these changes happened out of our knowledge. Locate does not accept any responsibility here and the agency found another place to live for them. I think this agency is not reliable and honest with the customer and after this horrible experience, I never recommend it to other people.
28th Aug 2025 (11 mo. ago)My experience with Hamilton bower was excellent. Friendly staff on the ball and very intentive. Sold my property very quickly. Della was especially helpful offering to help with filling in any paper work from the conveyancer I thought that was a nice touch.

10th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)There was no real drive to help sell the property, no regular promotion had to ask and push for it several times. Didn’t do checks with people booked for viewing whether they are able to purchase, a lot of no shows as well.
17th Jul 2026 (11 days ago)James Horsfield is very knowledgeable about the local area. He was available to accompany all the viewers of the property. The property was not an easy sell, yet James has found us a buyer at an acceptable price.

6th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)Dean & Emma have been very efficient and seem to be very knowledgeable. They are confident and fair. I would definitely use them again. The only thing I didn't like was the Street app that is used for viewing updates - I'm not an app person and do not wish to make downloads to use the app. That said Dean & Emma have found ways to work around this.
