15th Jan 2026 (6 mo. ago)I genuinely enjoyed working as a Trainee Surveyor and learning from two experienced professionals who were supportive and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, my experience in the property office was very different. The person running the office was inexperienced, insecure, and lacking in confidence. They created a toxic environment, being two faced, patronising, and often blaming new starters, claiming mistakes were their fault, even when communication was poor, organisation was lacking, and errors were frequent. New starters were often targeted for mistakes while not in the office, leaving them unable to understand or respond to situations effectively. The leadership style prioritised self promotion over supporting the team. The environment was exhausting, demoralising, and unsustainable for anyone serious about developing their career. It is no surprise that staff turnover is high in the property office, yet some employees may not realise this is due to the office culture. Despite these challenges, I value the lessons learned from supportive colleagues and from navigating a difficult environment, which will help my professional growth.

From the recepitionist to the Agents. Their politeness, and friendliness was outstanding.<br>A special mention must be for Laura Graham, who from the start was helpful, friendly and such a pleasure to deal with. She got it all organised, sorted within a week.<br>Highly recommend this company for all house moving.
29th Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)We cannot recommend JHS Law highly enough. They handled the sale of my late father-in-law's house with professionalism, compassion, and genuine care from start to finish. Their communication was fantastic throughout—we were always kept informed, and any questions were answered promptly, making what could have been a stressful process so much easier. As we don't live in Dumfries, we needed an agent we could place our trust in, we met with a few different agents, but from the minute we met Mark, we instinctively knew he was the right person for us. Mark from the get go was absolutely fantastic, he is a rare find in the property world, a safe pair of hands who genuinely cares , even though he had a number of properties live on the market to manage, he never loses focus and has an exceptional and methodical way of progressing the process. He was always professional, friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with, helping every viewing run smoothly. Thank you to Mark and top photographer Robyn and everyone at JHS Law for your outstanding support - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend your services to anyone buying or selling a home.

Joshua kept us up to date all the time, responded quickly to phone calls and emails and made the whole experience much more pleasant than expected. We highly recommend his services, Walker & Sharpe are fortunate to have him. Also the reception staff were very helpful! Well done to you all for restoring our faith in the legal world.

17th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.

16th Jul 2026 (19 days ago)Both Gary and Alaina in the Dumfries branch of Hunters have been outstanding in what has been a very stressful and upsetting time in my life. My father passed away a few months ago and as his only child I was left to deal with his estate. Living 300 miles away, this was obviously quite an intimidating prospect. Gary and Alaina offered a huge amount of support and professionalism and sold my dad's house in less than 3 weeks of marketing. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I'm so happy I chose them to assist me! Jenny
