As we were moving from Lincolnshire, Brandon went out of his way to support and help us with, not only the purchase but also local information/tradesmen etc. Would have no reservations in recommending Roy Barrett Eastgate agents.

He was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process, staying on top of everything and making sure all the paperwork was signed on time. His dedication and speed kept what could have been a stressful timeline completely on track. Maisie and Daniel kept us well informed and were always (within reason ??????) on hand for information and advice. They were never less than pleasant and professional. I’d happily recommend Boatwrights for buying and selling in the Tisbury area.

The current climate did lead to some challenges along the way, although the teams professionalism and knowledge of the market helped to smooth these out with ease. She supported my wife in securing a bungalow for her parents, who needed to relocate urgently to be closer for medical reasons, and she handled the whole process with genuine kindness and empathy.<br><br>She kept in touch every couple of days with updates, went above and beyond to make sure everything stayed on track, and was incredibly personable and easy to work with. Emma truly understood our family’s situation and made a stressful time feel so much more manageable.<br><br>We can’t recommend Emma at Chaffers highly enough. 29th Oct 2026 (4 days ago)Avoid renting through Linley & Simpson, Headingley!<br><br>I’ve just completed a 12-month tenancy with Linley & Simpson, and the experience has been awful.<br><br>Throughout the tenancy, my flatmate and I dealt with mould, damp under the carpets, carpet moth infestations, boiler breakdowns and multiple ceiling leaks. When we reported these issues, the branch was quick to open maintenance logs but painfully slow to provide updates or resolve the underlying problems.<br><br>The worst example was being left without hot water for over a week in March. Despite explaining our circumstances, we received little more than an apology, with no meaningful offer of a temporary solution.<br><br>We also discovered extensive mould inside the wardrobes next to my bed, alongside damp beneath the carpets. Despite raising concerns, we were initially asked if we could simply wipe the mould away. A dehumidifier was eventually provided, but it felt like another temporary fix rather than addressing the root cause.<br><br>Carpet moths were another nightmare. Hundreds of eggs were found along the carpet edges, and despite two exterminator visits, the infestation returned and was still present when we moved out.<br><br>Things didn’t improve when we requested early termination of the tenancy. I had to visit the branch in person after a frustrating phone conversation about the applicable tenancy rules. We then had to dispute a £125 deposit deduction for a supposed “light clean”, despite thoroughly cleaning the property. Thankfully, a helpful manager eventually reviewed the situation and reduced the charge.<br><br>To be fair, the agent didn’t directly cause every property issue. However, their communication, handling of maintenance concerns and overall approach left a lot to be desired. We often felt they prioritised the landlord over the tenants.<br><br>They were quick to get us moved in but painfully slow when it came to resolving problems. After almost a year of frustration, I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Linley & Simpson in Headingley to think twice.

19th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)I’ve been wanting to write this for a while but didn’t have the words. We moved into our property around 2.5 years ago which was sold to us via Connells in Shaftesbury. The mortage advisor Millie was brilliant, however as first time buyers I feel like the team really played on that. We had arranged to get a survey done of the house we intended to buy and one of the agents called us up to pressure us into not doing one as the buyers wanted to move. Telling us that because the “bank had agreed with the price of the house there was no need”. I now know this was a lie, the house has had issue after issue. From electrics and piping that isn’t up to standard and would of been flagged. Purposely hiding cut out carpet with furniture and so much more like hiding mould. I’m not sure if you record your phone calls but as a classified vulnerable customer I feel incredibly let down. We will probably never be able to move from this house because we can’t afford the costs. So if they try to convince you to not get a survey by claiming the bank agreeing to the amount is the same thing, please ignore them. It’s taken me so long to write this because I’ve been embarrassed but I also know they preyed on us being young and me being autistic and ‘guilible’.
