1st Jun 2026 (15 weeks ago)We recently viewed a property in Southmoor which we really loved, fully aware it required a significant amount of work. We initially offered £378,000, and Graham contacted us to push £380,000, suggesting we increase our offer to secure the property. Reluctantly, we agreed as we didn’t want to lose it. Given the age of the property (1960s), we arranged a survey, which highlighted several issues. As a result, we submitted a revised offer to reflect the additional work required. Around the same time, we revisited the property and noticed that three fence panels were down, including one on our side. When I raised this with Graham, his response was dismissive, describing it as “only cosmetic,” which felt inappropriate given the rising cost of materials and repairs. Throughout the process, Graham’s attitude came across as dismissive and, at times, rude. Communication lacked professionalism, and we often felt our concerns were being minimised. We later received an email stating that the beneficiary’s husband, who is apparently a builder of 45 years, had dismissed the issues raised in the survey. This response felt unconstructive and contradictory, particularly as relatively minor issues like the fencing had not been addressed. Overall, the process raised multiple red flags, both in terms of communication and transparency. Unfortunately, our experience has been negative, and we would not feel confident dealing with this estate agent again and I would recommend other people to be aware of them.

12th Sep 2018 (8 years ago)Have rented premium properties >3K in North Oxford and the area for many years, using multiple agencies. This is one of the worst agencies in Oxford, only exceeded in their general incompetence by Finders Keepers.

I felt that when meeting with the various agents recommended by get agent, he arrived prepared with information about my house and a strategy. A good and patient communicator throughout what can be a tricky project. Everyone i spoke with at the agency was like this. It’s a good firm.

14th Jul 2026 (9 weeks ago)DO NOT RENT with Saville’s - YOU WILL REGRET IT!! They haven’t cleaned the building in MONTHS, dirt and mould everywhere. And they don’t dispose of bins until the room is a health hazard - and even then they don’t want to do it. No point contacting them they are all completely ignorant. Go straight to Ombudsman and Health and Safety executive, they should be fined for causing a health and safety risk.

29th Oct 2025 (10 mo. ago)they lied and charged us for all the marketing material then never used it. we got ZERO enquirers or viewings for over 4 months- then found the online information was WRONG. stating the home is a decade older (i bought it NEW) and worth over £1 million LESS. they refuted to change it, then after we terminated the contract they refuse to rerun the photos we paid for. we spent thousands of pounds and hundreds of hours prepping the house for photos, and paid over £2,000 in total for them.

Stuart, Hazel and the rest of the Thomas Merrifield team gave excellent advice and first class communication with my sister and I selling on behalf of our mother with regular progress reports and liason with our buyer and the solicitors.

9th May 2026 (19 weeks ago)Promised regular updates from dedicated person but had 4 calls in 6 months from a different person each time! When i got so frustrated with there lack of interest i decided to cancel i emailed them and the only response i got was “there is a button on your account to cancel your listing” No Customer service and no care at all. 6 months wasted and i would never use again and will now go with a traditional estate agent.
