8th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)Very disappointing experience with Carter Jonas Cambridge. I would strongly advise tenants to avoid renting through them.<br><br>In my experience, they use unclear tenancy rules to push extra rent and disputed charges onto tenants. My contract was originally fixed-term, but after legal changes they treated it as rolling and tried to charge me almost two extra months, even though I had contacted them in advance about moving out.<br><br>Even before I moved out, I experienced repeated unexpected charges and payment requests, including cleaning-related and other fees outside the deposit. It felt like once you rent through them, they keep finding ways to send invoices and make tenants pay more.<br><br>I was also once locked out of the property for three days without proper support, and there were occasions where access to the property was arranged or carried out without proper prior notice to me.<br><br>Overall, the whole experience was extremely stressful, unclear and unfair. I honestly regret renting through them and would not recommend them to any tenant. If you do rent through them, keep everything in writing, take photos/videos, and challenge every invoice or deduction.
29th Jun 2026 (27 days ago)I would very much recommend using Allen and Harris in Witney. Aishah and Jarrod were amazing, constantly updating and communicating with us. Jarrod is still a trainee but would like to say how impressed we were with his knowledge about our house and how he communicated that information to the viewers. He has a presence about him that will make a great estate agent and an asset to the team.

She guided us on affordability and referenced us to the in-house broker to get an idea of how much we could borrow based on our real life situation. We would definitely be looking to speak to Molly and the team again should we want to move in 5 years.

Particular thanks for dealing so effectively with the solicitors for both sides and eliminating what can otherwise be somewhat stressful.

Even when Paul was understandable distracted with unforeseen family matters, he remained in communication and showed great commitment and returned calls to make the entire process straightforward. 9th Jul 2023 (3 years ago)Would not recommend this estate agents. I had to chase them for feedback every time (however, only had 7 viewings in 4 months!) didn’t hear from them at all for 7 weeks! NO communication at all!! Arranged viewings with totally unsuitable prospective buyers (e.g. a lady with an electric car who wanted to install an electric hook up when there is no driveway-on street parking). Felt forgotten about as the office wasn’t in our town. Worse than disappointing.

7th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)After minimal success with our first Agent in selling our house, we chose to move to 'James Gesner Estate agents' due to their knowledge of Wallingford and the surrounding area and specifically one area. Having the team represent our sale, and then to find us a property in the area we were looking to move, I would comment that James and the team were exceptional. The data (marketing report) that they provide against the sales element was informative, the viewings that they conducted, were very professional and the correspondence was always relevant, and always available. James is very knowledgeable where it matters and worked tirelessly in supporting both the house sale and purchase, and I felt that he really went above and beyond in providing a great service and doesn't seem to switch off by providing updates whilst in Mexico. James Gesner Estate Agency will certainly be first on my list for any House sales/Letting.- 10th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)Nicky and her team at Summertown have worked tirelessly and enthusiastically over the past year to get our 4th prospective buyer over the line. 19th Feb 2026 (22 weeks ago)Please avoid dealing with this agency . we rented a flat with them, there was a leaking from the above the property , we reported the issue , they did not even took the time to come and have a look into it . Very terrible experience, please avoid dealing with them. for a few dust, they are charging us 155 , a big SCAM. This agency does not deserve any star . our daughter was sick twice in this property . dehumidifier was on 24 hrs On . until now, we did not receive our deposit. We raised a complaint but they come back to us with bla bla without a resolution. We are planning to take to ombudsman
