30th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)Richard Cottrell I decided to sell my building plot and knowing the excellent service Jack and his team provides at the Grove office I spoke him. He suggested I contacted James Merrifield at there Oxford branch to discuss my options. I felt very confident with the advise he gave me on the sale process so I instructed him to proceed. like all good sales things did not go as planed, but James was with me 100% of the way sorting all the obstacles to achieve the sale. A big thank you for your help James and the professional service you provided. I would highly recommend Thomas Merrifield.
9th Jul 2023 (2 years ago)Would not recommend this estate agents. I had to chase them for feedback every time (however, only had 7 viewings in 4 months!) didn’t hear from them at all for 7 weeks! NO communication at all!! Arranged viewings with totally unsuitable prospective buyers (e.g. a lady with an electric car who wanted to install an electric hook up when there is no driveway-on street parking). Felt forgotten about as the office wasn’t in our town. Worse than disappointing.

21st Mar 2026 (10 weeks ago)We called twice and on each occasion left a message so that the responsible person or team could get in touch regarding a property valuation. On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.

6th May 2026 (23 days ago)The Rental Team especially Malcolm Goes are the most professional team of letting / property management people that I have come across. I used to be in this industry many years ago and know what it takes to provide a full service and to have happy tenants and landlords alike. Everything was well explained and nothing was too much trouble for Malcolm or the rest of the team. Malcolm has excellent local knowledge and was even able to offer us advise on village activities including the up coming beer festival at the village hall.

14th Feb 2026 (15 weeks ago)Great communication and very responsive to queries. Communication felt very honest and they did all we could have expected to sell the property. Great experience, which continues through the conveyancing process- 15th May 2026 (14 days ago)As a first-time landlord, I expected clear communication, professionalism, and competent management. Chancellors/Oxon Property Management failed on all three. They were responsive until the paperwork was signed, but after that communication became slow, inconsistent, and unhelpful. Payment issues went unresolved for months, and staff regularly contradicted each other with different information. Their poor handling of the tenancy and failure to clearly communicate key requirements ultimately left me out of pocket at the end of the tenancy. Overall, an extremely frustrating experience. I would not recommend them to any landlord looking for a reliable managing agent.

19th Feb 2026 (14 weeks ago)Please avoid dealing with this agency . we rented a flat with them, there was a leaking from the above the property , we reported the issue , they did not even took the time to come and have a look into it . Very terrible experience, please avoid dealing with them. for a few dust, they are charging us 155 , a big SCAM. This agency does not deserve any star . our daughter was sick twice in this property . dehumidifier was on 24 hrs On . until now, we did not receive our deposit. We raised a complaint but they come back to us with bla bla without a resolution. We are planning to take to ombudsman

13th Jun 2023 (2 years ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
