8th Apr 2024 (15 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!
24th Jan 2021 (3 years ago)Hello,first of all they didnt sell our house,we showed a few buyers around as C&W dont dont seem to do this on a weekend,the feedback we got from the potenial buyers is that C&W where difficult to get hold of (covid didnt help)for viewings.A few of them didnt know various particulars about the house which C&W should of told them.

We originally found our first home through Mathers 5 years ago, and we had no doubt about going back to them. Trafford kept us up to date at all times, and we really appreciate his hard work. If we are looking to sell in the future, we will definitely get back in touch!

20th Apr 2024 (3 days ago)Rude and arrogant, told I would have to pay a 700 mortgage fee upfront, when I balked they withdrew the fee. Told I could not view on Saturday cos of negotiators day off. If you don't use thier financialn advisor they will screw you over. Told I was in no position to make an offer, when I own five other properties and a local business. Penzance is the branch I had issues with. Just a rude and arrogant outfit. Totally fee orientated, zero customer service skills.

It turns out that he had not put the tenants deposit in a protection scheme so when the tenant stopped paying we could not get her out through the courts and she ended up wrecking the house which in turn turned into a house that dealt drugs. Tried to complain to the Ombudsman and it turns out he was not registered to any of them. Two laws broken to my knowledge. Had a CCJ upheld against him only for him to have it taken away on the basis he said "I didn't get the paper work". Likely storey. What love I did have for my families first home was destroyed by this person and company. I have now had a number of people contact me asking about me experience with him. Including one he is friends with on social media. Would rather deal with a pirate. Avoid.
12th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)Admittedly it’s been 18 months since I dealt with Carl at Sbc ,he has a lazy attitude not interested happy to charge me £600 for an advert and rubbish online photos and then pretty much did nothing to try and sell my business I did all the work and still never sold it or got a result waste of money waste of time , like I said it’s been 18 months but I feel I’m still entitled to leave a review. I would never ever recommend them ever to any Buisness , at that time I had an apology email from Carl but I’m sorry it wasn’t enough, my Buisness went stagment online and I lost a fortune , £600 down the drain , take your money then they run .

Nothing was too much trouble, going above and beyond on numerous occasions to get the job done. We have no hesitation in recommending MAP and will definitely use them again should we wish to further sell and purchase, thank you again Jenni.

The valuation was 'spot on' and communication throughout the whole process, from beginning to end, was first rate. Sound advice was given with care and consideration at 'tricky' moments in the process; this allayed fears and reduced stress! Thank you again to you all.
20th Sep 2022 (1 year ago)Not very happy with the way Kerb Apealz dealt my property as the floorplan room sizes were incorrect and took over a week to correct after I took the room sizes myself and gave them to agent.
25th Dec 2023 (17 weeks ago)Pilkingtn Estates were the first firm to give us an estimate incorporating a range of prices which could influence how rapidly the property achieved a sale. Their descriprion of the prooperty was entirely positive with no sense olf overselling it to potential buyers.
