8th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)Had a very good experience with Barnard Marcus, one of the letting agents Kate was very friendly and efficient in sorting out a house myself and my house mates wanted. She made the process much easier for myself and my housemates, and was always on hand to answer any questions. Would highly recommend using both Kate and the company.
1st Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)We've visited a property to let with John D Wood. We liked the property, and sent an offer. Offer accepted. So we paid the holding deposit. We went through the referencing, very long and time consuming. It took 15 days to have a feedback. And the feedback was : we can't reference you because your tax returns were from France, not from the UK. The letting agent offered us to pay all the rents (18 months) upfront, to skip the reference. We obviously refused. And we started panicking, because our move out date from our current property was approaching... We quickly visited other properties. We found a house to let through another letting agency. The referencing took literally 2 days, and we had no issues (they accepted tax returns from France). Luckily, we have been able to find house to let in time. John D Wood came back to us, in the meanwhile, saying that the landlord had finally accepted to rent us his property, even if our tax returns were from France. But it was too late. We had already found another house. But John D Wood is refusing to reimburse our holding deposit, because they say that it's our decision not to let this house and that our offer was accepted by the landlord. So we now have to enter into a legal fight. I would highly recommend NOT to work with John D Wood.

This was my first time buying a flat and I felt naturally a bit confused at the whole thing, but James was there each step as I needed him to help me through the process. I could not recommend James enough if you want a high quality, professional and seamless process when you are buying a property. Thanks again James - you were fantastic!

I have to say a huge thank you to Victoria who was everything you could possibly look for in an agent. Constantly in contact, helping to push the transaction through, providing planning drawings for other approved builds in the street (very important for me) and all with a smile and professionalism you’d expect from someone marketing a trophy property in central London. Exceptional!

I had a small amount of time in which to find a property and he made some great recommendations for me to consider and view. So much so, within 10 minutes of viewing one place, I knew the property was what I had been looking for. Nathan has been so helpful, efficient and communicative throughout. Now we just need the rest of the legal process to go as smoothly! Thanks Nathan.
17th Apr 2024 (30 days ago)We used a couple of agents selling the flat with not much happening and decoded to go with Carter Jonas and got a Sale, we wish we had used them in the first place. Staff are fantastic especially Leo, lots of viewings and very informative as the Sale goes on. I would highly recommend this extremely professional company.

5th Feb 2024 (15 weeks ago)I was approached by 4 estate agents and Aston Rowe impressed me most by giving the most realistic valuation of the property and by showing very clear local knowledge. More than that, I found Harry Hammonds a person I could do business with.
17th Nov 2023 (5 mo. ago)Please avoid renting with them at all costs! You will never get your deposit back. Our flat was 30+ year old and tired as you would expect, which we accepted when we moved in. We lived there only 11 months as the house was poorly insulated, we even had ice inside the house in the winter months, they never fixed it (among other things) so we decided to leave the flat. To our surprise, when we handed over the house, they brought their 'expert', a guy called Mark who has been with them for ages, as an 'independent' inspector, who obviously isn't. They will claim all kinds of non existent changes and damages and deduct if from your deposit! they event claimed is our fault that a crack appeared on the ceiling! AVOID!
