Chose this Estate Agent based on their reputation and due to the fabulous experience when Emma was the selling Agent 13 years ago for us. From the start communications were top class with James providing the valuation and sales details. Emma and Charlotte kept us updated frequently on the viewings and offers. A special big thank you to Vicky Hughes who liaised between us, the buyer and both sets of solicitors to overcome a number of hurdles to progress our sale to completion, thank you. We would highly recommend John German Estate Agents.

In the final stages of completing she was very helpful in getting it sorted, dealing with both solicitors and clients in a long chain of six! Always professional, kind and supportive throughout the process, with many phone calls and reassuring explanations. Our thanks especially to Heidi and all the team at Simon Blyth in Lindley who we would thoroughly recommend.

3rd Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)We were not impressed. The lack of communication being the biggest issue. The last email we received was confirmation of our cancellation and was told I would be called after the weekend on the Monday. I'm still waiting. It's been 3 weeks. It was almost like once they had got you to sign the ridiculously long contract they just whacked it on Rightmove then forgot about it. After informing them of our cancellation we received an email telling us all about the potential buyers they had introduced to our property. The list was huge. Where when and how did they introduce all of these potential buyers. We had 3 viewings in 6 months.Hannells - Allestree

Olivia was very responsive during the whole process and helped to chase the process through with the buyers’. However, the valuation I was given was too high and I was forced to reduce the price to get a sale.

6th Mar 2026 (29 days ago)Jack and Amber at Burchells went above and beyond their role to ensure we had a smooth and stress free renewal of tenant at our rental property in Ilkeston. They continually updated us at all times and were extremely understanding and sympathetic of our requirements, down to fine details. Something as simple as leaving a specific light on after viewings, as we'd requested. We would not hesitate to recommend them , the follow up care is equally as attentive, they are always available to assist in any issues. They certainly don't take your business and run. Very professional at all times. Thank you for all you've done.

Excellent service from their staff particularly Ben Dann. I wasn't buying or selling , I'm a first time landlord and I was struggling with some of the paperwork. Ben and his Lettings colleague put me straight. I felt I was being cheeky but after explaining my position they jumped to help me . Very polite , smart in appearance and willing to help. Nothing was too much. I would recommend them in future . Thank you Ben .

Their eagerness to sell our property, attitude and communication were top notch - and a special mention to Bethany. Extremely happy with the service we’ve received.

After a successful viewing hosted by Andrew though it did start moving. And then Meghan was constantly updating us throughout the process so yes 5 stars from me! Thanks guys!
