28th May 2024 (2 years ago)They sent viewers who were not proceedable or unsuited to a shared/communal garden. We got feedback from viewers only after asking everytime.

11th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)I'm not one for reviews but I have to share my experience. After renting my property out through Northwoods (a lot of years), it was time to buy a new property. They had been fantastic at managing the property over the years, with constant communication and regular updates. the property was never left empty for long, just long enough to allow maintenance to be done (By their approved contractors) before new tenants moved in. So based on their professionalism I choose them to handle the purchase. It just seemed effortless, again communication was spot on, I never once had to call to push along, Sara and Sam seemed to be one step ahead and kept me well informed explaining any issues that might arise, when there was a problem they sorted it all out with a common sense approach. When the other party seemed to be dragging their heels (solicitors) on completion, there they were again helping the transaction through to the end. I can not recommend these guys enough, for making everything hassle free, with no stress at all.

30th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)I would definitely use lighthouse estate agents again in the future. I have only sold a property through them but I found Simon very helpful and courteous and was able to make contact at any time with him and get good sound advice. Would definitely recommend!

14th Feb 2026 (17 weeks ago)Constantly having to chase them up to get new tenants in. Towards the end on one tenancy, after hearing nothing I phoned up and Aaron said "oh would you like us to list it to get a new tenant?" WHAT? Not a good experience.

14th Feb 2026 (17 weeks ago)I am currently selling my house with Smiths, and have been extremely grateful of their meticulousness and strong communication. I have been particularly impressed with their vetting of potential buyers - people have been requesting to view the house, but are nowhere near in a position to purchase, meaning I don’t have to prepare the house or get my hopes up for a buyer that would never come to fruition. Instead, we have received viewings from properly vetted prospective purchasers, one of whom will hopefully make an offer soon!

31st May 2026 (15 days ago)I have used estate agents across the UK for business and private buying, selling and renting over the years. This is the first time that I have met an agent like Elizabeth. So many agencies over promise and under deliver. Elizabeth Gaughan is very different. The reason she is different is that she is professional, does what she says and makes sensible recommendations. She is pleasant, friendly and helpful. Elizabeth and Richard are easy to reach when you need them and knowledgeable about the local market. One of them would answer a query within minutes of it being asked. I would use this business again and recommend Elizabeth Gaughan wholeheartedly.

Tracey was brilliant every step of the way and kept the ball rolling throughout, as was Amrit who sorted out mortgage and insurance for us. Highly recommended!
