They kept an eye on rightmove for all relevant properties in our chain without asking, and kept us in the loop for everything. Always answered their phones, unlike Bagshaws Mickleover who we sold through! If we ever move again, we'd sell through them rather than who we used. Trish in particular was very efficient and kind.<br>I am aware that right before completion, they were taken over by John German.

30th Aug 2021 (5 years ago)I would definitely use lighthouse estate agents again in the future. I have only sold a property through them but I found Simon very helpful and courteous and was able to make contact at any time with him and get good sound advice. Would definitely recommend!

2nd Dec 2025 (9 mo. ago)I chose Boughtons over another mainly because of the all female staff, who had a more relaxed attitude. After an initial valuation which seemed, to me, a bit too high, they suggested a revision which then attracted viewings. We suffered a lag with the normal drop in viewings during the school break and then another drop as people waited for the budget. Despite this, Boughtons kept in touch and updated me throughout. Excellent Estate Agent

8th Apr 2025 (1 year ago)Failed to communicate at all after the first two weeks being on the market with them. Failed to contact us when potential buyers wanted to view. No communication even at the point of cancelling our contract with them. Just totally apathetic

Not the fault of the estate agent, however there was no adjustment to the online profile at any point to refresh the advert. Nothing posted on socials that I’m aware of either.

Their organisation and communication were exceptional - I am confident, without Richard's efforts to maintain interactions across the chain, the process would not have gone as smoothly as it did. Moving house is notoriously stressful and they helped make it as smooth and seamless as possible. Thank you!
