Rosi and the team were excellent throughout, always keeping us updated and clearly explaining each stage. This made everything feel very straightforward and stress free, especially as it was my first time selling a property. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to use their services.

14th Dec 2025 (5 mo. ago)We have used Sturrock Armstrong and Thomson for our wills and for previous house sales and also when we moved house recently. Apart from a minor issue when our bid for a property arrived a few minutes after the deadline but was quickly resolved they were very good to deal with, kept us informed at all stages and were particularly attentive when we were arranging viewings for our house. Leonard and his team looked after us.
7th Jan 2026 (23 weeks ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

Although there were Googlemaps issues with my advert, he persevered with having Google fix the problem . His communication is excellent: prompt and courteous. The subcontractors he appoints for photography and home report are top quality. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.
22nd Sep 2024 (1 year ago)We chose Gillespie Macandrew because we wanted the whole selling process (including the calculation of capital gains tax) to be under one roof. Gillespie Macandrew more than lived up to our expectations. The marketing, conveyancing and capital gains processes were all sequentially and logically implemented and there was always someone on hand to answer our questions. The stress involved in selling a property was greatly reduced, the sale went smoothly and efficiently, and we received a price well above the valuation.
11th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)Not great - would not use again. Did nothing to find interested parties in first few weeks until I had to call a senior team member to complain... Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.

I conducted the viewings myself with the help of a family friend but Urquharts made the appointments while consulting with us over our availability. Advice was succinct yet with the reasoning clearly explained.

Jenna ensured that the process went smoothly and without hitch start to finish. Her responsiveness (even when out of office / out of usual hours), attention to detail, knowledge and expertise made what could have been a stressful time a lot less worrying - a huge thank you to her, and Danielle, for their kind support and 10/10 service. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to sell or buy a house in the Edinburgh / Lothian area.

Jayne gives informed and realistic advice, taking excellent photos/videos for listing. Fiona is consistently diligent and went above and beyond to ensure we could get our keys on time. We regularly recommend them and would never consider going anywhere else.
4th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Stewart (estate agent) was very involved from start to finish in the sale of our property. Always reachable, attentive, personal, and answering all of our questions. The market value of our property was also higher in Aikman Bell's valuation compared to other estate agents, so we ended up selling for a great price. Stewart's knowledge of the local market is second to none. Peter (the solicitor) was also excellent and to the point, meticulous and proactive. All in all we were simply extremely pleased with Aikman Bell's service throughout the whole process.
14th May 2026 (4 weeks ago)Firstly, I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Cullerton and his team for such a speedy sale of our house. Mr. Cullerton takes such time to get to know you and your property, he was very friendly, approachable and made you feel taken care of. Somewhere in his literature it talks about a "personalised service" and my goodness that is exactly what you get and you feel it. Greig and the others at Cullerton's too including Mr. Cullerton himself were so speedy and diligent in keeping us informed and were on the ball every step of the way without having to be prompted and I never had to chase them for anything. Also he is amazingly good at getting you quite a price for your property that I am confident will be considerably over what you feel it will sell for. Cullertons is also a one stop shop for your property needs, I would suggest you do not look any further if this is what you are looking for because you have already found it! Thank you again Mr. Cullerton and to Greig and team!
