Rosi and the team were excellent throughout, always keeping us updated and clearly explaining each stage. This made everything feel very straightforward and stress free, especially as it was my first time selling a property. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to use their services.
8th Aug 2026 (3 days ago)We instructed MOV8 to sell our one-bedroom flat in Edinburgh. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and we ultimately decided to terminate the agreement and move to another estate agent. During the period the property was marketed, we had a number of viewings but also several cancellations, and we did not feel that the sale was progressing as we had hoped. We would have liked more proactive advice and communication about what could be changed to improve the chances of achieving a sale. What was particularly disappointing was the cost of ending the agreement. We had to settle a substantial outstanding amount before moving to another agent, despite the property remaining unsold. There were individual members of staff who were pleasant and helpful, so this is not a criticism of everyone we dealt with. However, looking at the overall service and outcome, we were not satisfied and decided that changing agent was the best option for us.

27th Jul 2026 (15 days ago)Exceptional service from all involved, including holiday cover, phonecalls and late enquiries/changes. Responsive and clear through the whole conveyancing process; fantastic solicitors and would 100% recommend.
7th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)WARNING!! Richard murray acted as co executor having written my mothers will. He was not appointed by her but by her named executor. He sided and was partial to one group of beneficiaries over another. He chose the ones nearest the property of most help to him to side with, making his job easier. The family was fractured but he showed no ability to deal with this shutting down and refusing to engage with one side. Preferentially treating the other side. He went back on his legal advice reversing decisions that suited him. Including and implementing wishes he decided my mother made Verbally only to the one side of the family, the side he demonstrated favour with. When ‘wishes’ my mother had made to the other side were brought to him he dismissed them. Biased and unfair and cruel in his handling of the estate. Delaying the inheritance by permitting one beneficiary to live rent free in the property for some fourteen months post my mothers death. Not mentioned in the will, nor discussed. Between himself, his Company or my mother - but on the say so of the side he favoured! The implemented ‘say sos’ were decided without full disclosure or discussion or transparency and he was unaccountable in that He acted like a dictator refusing telephone calls , zoom meetings or email discussions. He dragged out a simple direct will into two years of hell, stress and unnecessary expense because he favoured and decided always in favour of one half of the beneficiaries over the other. Do not write a will with this Company. They have demonstrated they are incapable of writing one correctly , giving proper advice to my Mother , and incapable of implementing it as it’s written in any event. AVOID! It’s 2026 and there are still repercussions from Richard Murray @Connell&Connell’s mis writing and massive failures in executing our Mothers will. Save yourselves a whole lot of unprofessional and uncaring and biased,will handling and don’t use this man.

Although there were Googlemaps issues with my advert, he persevered with having Google fix the problem . His communication is excellent: prompt and courteous. The subcontractors he appoints for photography and home report are top quality. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Fiona and Scott were equally excellent, taking the time to explain the title deeds for our new home and clearly outlining the key details and responsibilities involved—something no previous solicitor has done for us.<br><br>The whole team was professional, friendly, and highly efficient throughout. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Connor Malcolm to anyone buying or selling a property. 22nd Sep 2024 (1 year ago)We chose Gillespie Macandrew because we wanted the whole selling process (including the calculation of capital gains tax) to be under one roof. Gillespie Macandrew more than lived up to our expectations. The marketing, conveyancing and capital gains processes were all sequentially and logically implemented and there was always someone on hand to answer our questions. The stress involved in selling a property was greatly reduced, the sale went smoothly and efficiently, and we received a price well above the valuation.
3rd Aug 2026 (8 days ago)Early days but promising. Good contacts from initial visit from Kirsty, then arranging Home Report, roadside signboard and updates from Archie and oooffice. But since we have reached an Under Offer stage, no updates for 3 weeks.

Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.

I conducted the viewings myself with the help of a family friend but Urquharts made the appointments while consulting with us over our availability. Advice was succinct yet with the reasoning clearly explained.

They were always at the end of the phone and they continuously kept my partner and I in the loop, providing the necessary advice as required. The human interaction was very much appreciated in this digital age. It has been truly refreshing to deal with true professionals who provide the service promised.
