We have just sold and bought through Barnard Marcus. We arranged our mortgage with Fred at the Ewell office - they were all so informative and straightforward. Will definitely use again.
If you are considering to apply for a job at this branch I would suggest you didn't bother. I applied for role within the branch and took time off work to attend the interview following a phone Interview I had the week before. The interview went well and the staff were friendly, I was told at the end of the interview I would hear if I did or did not have the job by the end of the week. After two weeks I contacted and was given the excuse that the managers needed to have a meeting to discuss this and I would hear in a week. A week later I still had to answer so I contacted again and I was told the manager was on holiday and I will hear back in another week. Overall it has been around 5 weeks of excuses and they still did not contact me to say if I did or did not have the job as promised in the interview. It is very unprofessional and they completely wasted my time by giving me excuses each week. I would never recommend for anyone to apply for a job here they just mess you around waste you time.
A very professional agency and would definitely recommend Matt. He was efficient and patient when solicitors held the process up, yet always strove to sort out issues quickly; corresponding regularly between all areas of the buying and selling process.
Awful, so unhelpful and patronising. Only ever spoken to males in the office, perhaps the other employees are slightly better. Needles to say I won't be buying through them.
Just completed on sale of our flat in Ewell Village. Very pleased I went with Jackson Noon. We Found Peter Jackson very approachable and he was willing to explain things in terms I understood. What I also liked is he employs a "Tamsin". Tamsin is the name of the lady that takes over once the buyer has been found. She chases solicitors and ensure things keep moving which takes a lot of stress out of the equation. If you're like me and prefer dealing with people who know their business, then I'm confident you will be happy with them too.
Liar people. I was booked to view two houses, however, they were under offer.
Great for me - help me find nice flat - very helpful. Thank you
We bought our property from Personal Agent and when we relocated abroad we were happy to return to them to arrange the letting and management of our flat. The service is very good and everyone is friendly and informative.
Thank you to Stephen for all his efforts and phone calls to take our purchase smoothly to exchange. We found him to be very efficient and reliable. Thank you also to Claire and Gavin for good communication and for maintaining the momentum.
Strung us along for 4 months. Avoid using this agency. They were the agency two down in a chain we were in and advised our buyer that their client was in a proceedable position, when in fact, he had had an issue on his lease of the property he was selling for almost a year. They said he had a first time buyer on board but that was not the case either. They strung us along for 4 months saying the lease issue was being dealt with and would be sorted soon. Stephen Goldstraw was very rude and abrupt to all of the enquiries from the other agents in the chain and even put the phone down or refused to take calls, or when he did, said "I have no idea whats going on" and when I investigated my hunch that we were being lied to about whether their buyer was actually proceedable, it turned out that he wasn’t after all and the first time buyer had disappeared (not surprising as I don’t know anyone who would wait a year to buy a property). They didn’t even apologise for the hassle they have caused, despite me having spent almost £2000 on a survey, searches and legal fees. They also tried to make out that a lady who had been on maternity leave for at least 2 months was still dealing with the matter. All of the agents in the chain said Stephen Goldstraw was an idiot to deal with (that’s a polite word for what they actually called him). Avoid this lot like the plague.
