The communication was great all the way through and the whole team worked hard to ensure that buyers and we as sellers had all the information we needed. The whole process was much smoother than we feared, as the team went above and beyond to keep everyone to the required timescales. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Youngs again.
21st Aug 2026 (24 days ago)If possible, I would not even award them 1 star. Absolutely horrendous service when requesting information or updates about the sale of our late parents home. Numerous failed call returns, no response to emails, rude comments towards my grieving sister when they thought the phone call had ended, obnoxious attitude to our solicitor in the last days of the process when requesting costings for their "services". It is troubling to have to pay them a lot of money for very little in return!

Did not listen to us about sale price, sent people who couldn’t afford the mortgage, poor quality feedback, not making appointments at requested times, even phoned 2 days after we had moved to see if we had exchanged!DO NOT USE THEIR AUCTION SERVICE!were on the verge of changing agents when we struck lucky thanks to Covid!

29th May 2026 (15 weeks ago)Awful experience from day one. Lesley came to me with a tenant who moved in October 25. First off they allowed a tenant to move in with no months rent up front - never agreed with myself. 7 months later I am still a month behind on unpaid rent even though I have emailed Lesley directly every month chasing. Peter Clark received the keys back to the property on 15/05 and I’m still yet to receive the months rent I’m owed. To add to this there wasn’t a single month where the rent was paid on the date stated on the agreement and instead they allowed the tenant to pay them with cash each month.
29th May 2026 (15 weeks ago)Rook Matthews Sayer (Jesmond) have managed my property for the last 17 years, including around 15 years as a rental property and the last 2 years while it was on the market for sale. Throughout the rental period they were generally reliable and easy to deal with. Whenever maintenance issues arose, they would contact me promptly and arrange local contractors to carry out the work at reasonable cost. Over a long period of ownership, there were no major problems and I felt the property was looked after well. During the sales process there were a few challenges, including a complicated issue involving a neighbouring property which resulted in the power being disconnected to the building. Although this took some time to resolve, RMS were able to provide the information I needed and the sale was ultimately completed successfully. Communication was mainly via email rather than phone calls, but I found the team responsive and helpful whenever I needed assistance. Managing a property from a distance can be difficult, so I appreciated having an agent who could deal with issues on my behalf over many years. Overall, I would like to thank the team at RMS Jesmond for their support over the last 17 years and wish them all the best for the future.

The whole process of selling our property was managed professionally and courteously and the many set backs suffered (through no fault of themselves) were dealt with efficiently and considerately. They are all very professional and personable and were prepared to "go the extra mile' to help make the experience as painless as possible. We have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

From first contact, the valuation, photography, brochure preparation, first viewing and receipt of an offer for full asking price took less than 3 weeks. Sales Manager Rachel Smiles was especially helpful in giving advice on content of the sales brochure and her friendly staff in arranging the 2 viewings by first interested party. We would highly recommend this agency to value and sell your property quickly at its true market value.
