The entire process was transparent and clear, with no grey areas. Having had a different experience with another agent in the past, I knew I would appreciate this. John not only spent a lot of time on the central aspects of the purchase, but also supported me with the preliminaries (e.g. finding the right insurance). Thanks also to the whole team. Highly recommended!

2nd Sep 2026 (16 days ago)I can’t recommend Phil Cantwell at Your Move in New Cross highly enough. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process — competent, responsive, proactive, kind, and professional.<br><br>The sale turned out to be much more complicated than expected, with legal difficulties meaning that the process took over two years to complete. Throughout that entire time, Phil stayed in touch, kept me updated and did everything he could to keep things moving along. Even though I was dealing with everything internationally, his communication was excellent and I always felt that things were being looked after. He made what could have been an extremely stressful experience feel remarkably stress-free. I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without him.<br><br>Phil also went far beyond what I would normally expect from an estate agent. He was incredibly helpful with all sorts of practical things that I would normally have dealt with myself if I had been in London — from replacing batteries in smoke detectors to meeting contractors and helping coordinate things on my behalf.<br><br>He was an absolute delight to deal with: warm, friendly, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile. I’m incredibly grateful for all his help and would wholeheartedly recommend Phil to anyone looking for an estate agent.

10th Sep 2026 (8 days ago)We cannot thank the team at Hunters Catford enough for everything they did for us during the sale and purchase of our home.<br><br>We previously had our house on the market with another estate agency for 12 weeks, during which time we had just two viewings and no offers. When Richard and his team took over, the difference was incredible. They marketed our home with genuine care and attention, and within just 12 days we had received multiple offers. We were absolutely amazed by the turnaround.<br><br>A special mention has to go to Richard, who was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and an absolute pleasure to have on our side. Selling a house can be incredibly stressful, and having someone with his expertise and calm approach made such a difference. We always felt that our home was in safe hands.<br><br>And then there is Brenda... who truly deserves a special and heartfelt mention. Brenda was absolutely outstanding throughout the entire process. She is the definition of going above and beyond for her clients. This was a very stressful time for us, but Brenda was there for us every single day. She communicated with us constantly, answered every single question we had (and there were plenty!), and always made us feel supported and reassured.<br><br>What stood out most was that Brenda genuinely cared. She was incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, patient and dedicated, and we always felt that she was personally invested in helping us get through the process successfully.<br><br>I am still amazed by the dedication and commitment of the whole Hunters team. Every member played their part in helping us through what was, at times, a very difficult and stressful sale, and we are incredibly grateful to all of them.<br><br>Thank you Richard, Brenda and the entire team at Hunters!! We genuinely couldn't have wished for a better estate agency to have on our side, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their home.

Disorganised agency.<br><br>We travelled specifically for one viewing with them, only to arrive and be told by the agent that he couldn’t get the keys because the tenant hadn’t shown up. Why is the tenant handing over the keys at the exact same time potential buyers are turning up for a viewing? Surely this should be sorted beforehand so there’s time to deal with any issues and so you’re not wasting people’s time.<br><br>I’ve now asked Barnard Marcus to show me the property instead, as they also have it listed on Rightmove.<br><br>Before this I was accidentally booked into the wrong viewings and received confirmation emails/texts for properties I’d never agreed to view, followed by various cancellation emails and back-and-forth to get things corrected. I was repeatedly bombarded with emails from their mailing list despite unsubscribing and I had to email two different people more than once asking for the emails to stop.<br><br>I am really put off booking anymore viewings with this agency

The team takes care of everything from coordinating the tenants, handling repairs, inspection, ensuring compliance, and collecting the rents without consulting me unless they need to make any decisions.

29th Aug 2026 (20 days ago)It was an absolute nightmare of an experience.<br><br>Before we signed the tenancy agreement, Foxtons repeatedly pressured us to make a quick decision, saying that the property would soon be taken by someone else. One of the tenants was still in China and had not even received their UK visa, yet Foxtons continued to push for the tenancy agreement to be signed quickly.<br><br>After Foxtons received their commission, the manager handling our case resigned, but nobody informed us. We only discovered this after one of the tenants stopped paying rent and we needed Foxtons’ assistance.<br><br>The tenant claimed that their UK visa had not been approved and that they were still in China, and also said that Foxtons had pressured them to sign the agreement. Another Foxtons employee suggested taking legal action against the tenant. We eventually had to deal with the situation ourselves, and the other tenants even paid around six months’ rent (close to £10,000) on behalf of that tenant.<br><br>When we instructed a solicitor and needed the tenant’s information to pursue the matter, Foxtons refused to provide it, citing “privacy”. They even told us to contact the tenant ourselves. For an agent that had arranged the tenancy, this was extremely disappointing and felt completely unreasonable.<br><br>Later, there was a pest infestation in the property. We contacted Foxtons for advice and assistance, but they basically told us it was the landlord’s responsibility and that we should deal with it ourselves. We received no meaningful help from Foxtons and had to handle the problem ourselves.<br><br>When we later needed the landlord’s address to pursue compensation for the losses caused by the pest infestation, Foxtons again refused to provide it, this time citing privacy. Only after we sought legal advice and challenged their position did they finally provide the address.<br><br>The landlord subsequently withheld our deposit and also kept our overpaid rent. Foxtons knew there was a dispute over the money, but instead of helping to resolve the situation, they simply said they could not do anything and told us to deal with it ourselves.<br><br>Overall, our experience was extremely disappointing. Foxtons was very proactive when trying to secure the tenancy and collect their commission, but when problems actually arose, we felt that they repeatedly washed their hands of the situation and left us to deal with everything ourselves.<br><br>I would strongly recommend anyone considering using Foxtons to think carefully about the level of support they may receive once the tenancy has been signed.

Communication was excellent throughout: they kept us fully updated, responded promptly to every question and worked tirelessly to achieve the price we wanted.<br><br>Their dedication and attention to detail exceeded our expectations and made the entire sale feel far less stressful than we had anticipated. We truly appreciated how much they did to keep everything moving smoothly and support us at every stage. We have already recommended Liam and Abidul to friends and would happily recommend them to anyone selling a property.
