7th Apr 2026 (24 weeks ago)I had a good experience working with the team at Richard Godsell. The market for the property was limited as it was a retirement flat so we had few viewings however it sold after a few months, marginally less than advertised but for an acceptable sum. I would consider the original valuation to be accurate. Communication with the agent was good and while the sale took longer than expected due to legal complications, the agent did a really good job of keeping the buyer, who we were at risk of losing, placated through a difficult period.

Found a good tenant at the asking price and speedily completed the formalities Unfortunately Emily King who handled everything for me has just left them
7th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)They have been generally good to deal with and have been efficient. Where there have been minor errors and changes to sort out, these have been dealt with promptly. I have had the complication of being in Hertfordshire selling my sister's property in Brighton. This has been handled well so far .
3rd Feb 2025 (1 year ago)From the initial meeting to discuss the house sale, to actually getting it on the market and selling had been hassle free. The team from Beals have been great. Communication has been so quick and the relay of messages has been good. Couldn't ask for more.

Richard and his team were fantastic from start to finish, and Richard was crucial in pushing to get everything over the line in time. Very responsive and always kept me in the loop - 100% would recommend and if I ever decide to go through the buying/selling process again, I’ll be back!

11th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)We were recommended Fahrens by friends who had used them before. Fahrens, especially Zak who we sold our property with were absolutely fantastic. We sold our flat and bought a house at the height of the pandemic in 2020/2021 with a newborn baby, such a stressful time but made less so by Zak. He was always there to answer questions, emails etc and was a great support. All the team at Fahrens are so lovely and never make you feel rushed when calling. They even helped us out when there was a leak in the flat above ours whilst we were on holiday by going to the flat on a Sunday to investigate. I can’t thank Fahrens and Zak enough for everything they did for us at that time. They sent our newborn a lovely card and present when she was born too. Estate agents that go above and beyond!

A professional and good looking set of photos and video online, a friendly and helpful team and good communications were all hallmarks. The property sold within a week - so they definitely did something right!

Efficient, great communication, continuous support and updates, both friendly and professional. The whole process was very smooth and Jayden did everything he promised he would when we first met. 23rd Sep 2026 (2 days ago)Jack Taggart owes me £20,000 for the deposit I gave him for the property we were buying but the sale fell through. He made countless promises to return the money. But no single penny was returned! I went through all legal ways to communicate with him but he ignored all of it. It seems this is a common theme as he been exposed on the Argus.

28th Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Cooke & Co Estate Agents, Broadstairs<br><br>My experience with Cooke & Co Estate Agents in Broadstairs was extremely disappointing. They were instructed to sell our three-bedroom semi-detached house, situated in an exclusive area,of St Peters but unfortunately failed to achieve a sale during the six months the property was on the market with them.<br><br>During this time, we also experienced significant delays and what we considered to be inadequate communication. On two occasions, prospective buyers went through the process without the necessary financial background checks being successfully completed, which resulted in considerable time being wasted.<br><br>Communication was another major issue. On several occasions, it took up to two weeks to receive a response to emails, which was extremely frustrating when trying to progress the sale of our property.<br><br>We also found that other members of the office appeared unable to make decisions without obtaining approval from one person overseeing the process, which, in our experience, contributed to further delays.<br><br>Overall, our experience with Cooke & Co was totally disappointing. We feel that six months were wasted, and the lack of communication, delays, and issues surrounding prospective buyers made the whole process unnecessarily frustrating.<br><br>The Property was listed with Wards of Broadstairs and sold within three weeks.<br><br>Based on our experience, we would not recommend Cooke & Co Estate Agents in Broadstairs to anyone<br><br>Says it all.

I knew nothing about estate agents or the value of my mothers property but our daughter had recently bought a house via Mayers and said that they were good. We looked up and down the street and out of 5 estate agent boards that were visible 4 were from Mayers. So, with 1 personal recommendation and 80% silent recommendations we decided to go with Mayers. We weren't disappointed. As an aside, during the selling process we had reason to meet our buyers. They also had nothing but praise for Mayers.

He persuaded me to sell through fox and sons and has helped me whenever I’ve needed it during the sale. I cannot recommend him enough, he always seems happy and has a smile on his face and makes you feel so very important. Highly recommend Charlie to be the next Manager as he keeps the Southsea office going regardless!!
