Communication is excellent, I have been kept informed almost daily and all the staff are extemely helpful and efficient. A special mention for Matt who has made the experience of selling my bungalow so far, stress free and supportive.

It was done in a professional way. I was kept informed of viewings and feedback. Always ready with any advice I required. Made the whole process very smooth. 30th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I couldn't recommend Hamilton Smith more highly they are by far the best Estate agents in the area. Both Luke and Linda were professional helpful and also became good friends during the sale of my property and the eventual purchase of another property through them. Initially I purchased another property but through the total incompetence of the agents involved ( P&P ) dealing with the property i finally pulled out after months of unanswered phone calls and getting no where closer to completion. Luckily for me a property came on the market that was being dealt with by Hamilton Smith which i immediately fell in love with and purchased and within six weeks I moved in. I'd like to give Linda a special mention she became a shoulder to cry on at times whilst always staying positive with her advice which I finally took and I couldn't be happier in my new home.

As we had never moved home before we felt we were complete novices and to feel like nothing was too much trouble made all the difference. Thank you for helping us through what could be a daunting experience... And also for finding us our new home which feels like 'it's meant to be'

25th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)Rarely one to post reviews but recent sale of in-laws house demonstrated how a good agent can work to resolve problems and help manage the invariable stress of moving elderly relatives. Many thanks to Jonathan Penn who undoubtedly got our sale "over the line" despite day of completion failures and a very difficult chain throughout the sale process

5th Jan 2026 (13 weeks ago)As a potential buyer it is very difficult to get through to these estate agents. I have waited over a week for them to get back to me regarding a viewing for properties. They seem to be very adverse to picking up the phone or replying to email enquiries if you are looking to either buy or sell your property I would personally stay clear from this Estate Agent. In addition to this the re occurring theme of discriminatory behaviour is very off putting in the previous reviews as well.

The two guys who worked there were dedicated, and if not able to answer the phone immediately would without fail get back to me within the hour. Reliable, dependable and trustworthy. Helpful in so many ways. As a single woman selling a house on my own I really appreciated their non stop yet never intrusive support. 2nd Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)i actually used oakheart and they were by far the best agent ive used so far , its a shame i didnt use them from the start as i had to go through 2 others first. i would highly recommend them in my area very good knowledge and i would use again 100%

3rd Feb 2026 (9 weeks ago)I had been renting a property in Ely for the past 4 years or so through Cheffins and have had nothing but a positive experience. They have always been super quick to respond to any communication and extremely professional while doing so. They were also incredibly understanding, respectful and accommodating of my personal situation. I especially want to call out Bev H who I spoke with the most, she's a real star. Should I decide to rent again in the future or have a property to rent out then Cheffins will be my first choice.
