25th Jun 2018 (7 years ago)Dreadful agent, disorganized, didn't communicate with us, slow at responding or managing our expectations. Bit of a backstreet do it yourself type of place, only interested in the commission at the end, didn't check with us before making decisions, bunch of young girls in there who know very little about the industry. Stay clear, use a different more professional experienced agent is my advice.

28th Jan 2023 (3 years ago)Walked in to discuss a bungalow they had for sale, whilst in workwear. Had one word answers whilst being looked up and down by a snotty guy. They need to not judge books by covers.

17th Dec 2025 (6 mo. ago)Asked if it was possible to get a all be it large reduction on a rental property per month if I were to guarantee the rent for 4/5 years and was sent a very passive aggressive response from the lettings manager Edward Gailey “so just to be clear you’re offering X for a property listed at X per month?” Unwarranted response when he could have just said that this wasn’t possible on this property and then could have suggested some other properties in my bracket! None the less they have lost a tenant that was about to let 4 properties in one go! Oh well, maybe some customer service training wouldn’t go a miss for Mr Gailey lettings manager?
28th Jul 2025 (10 mo. ago)Had a very easy tenancy with GK Whites for the past year. We had very few problems with the property but found them very responsive and friendly when we did have issues. It was a great experience for us as students renting for the first time, highly recommend!
12th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I viewed the shop and called the office straight away to make an offer. I asked for Lyndsey, but the woman who answered pretended to be her even though she clearly wasn’t. I also emailed my offer the same day but they never confirmed they received it. A few days later I went to the office asking for Lyndsey. Someone interrupted and said they would help instead. They promised to call me back but never did. When I called today they lied saying they had called me yesterday and told me the shop was gone. I don’t know why they treated me this way, but I’ve never experienced such poor and unprofessional service from any other estate agent.
13th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)These guys helped us out when we got stuck unexpectedly between moving house. The flat we rented was awesome and the service from Kim and co was brilliant. If you're looking for a short term let these are the people to speak to.

6th Dec 2025 (6 mo. ago)James from G&S was excellent, very helpful and not at all pushy or salesy. I found him very knowledge and just a really nice guy, so patient and happy to help as well. I have to say I felt very safe in his hands, which I found reassuring when lettiing my home. I felt I was seen as a person and not just another deal that needed to get signed off quickly. Within a week James had organised 5 couples to view and then he went through each applicant with me, stating their strengths or weaknesses as tenants. I felt that he wouldn’t have let me go forward with anyone he didn’t feel would be a good choice. They also organise everything you need, the EPC, gas and electric safety checks and itinerary. Nothing was too much trouble. I would whole heartedly recommend G&S, they’ve got it right, and the office is more accessible for parking being just outside of the main town.

The guys at Cubitt and West put together a new plan with a 28 day timescales and followed through on everything! I cannot recommend them high enough!
