30th Jan 2020 (4 years ago)Martyn was very helpful upon my move in and viewing. However when it was time for me to move out, they withheld some of my deposit money because the property wasn't clean enough. I didn't complain when upon my move in the floor was as dirty as the grount outside, but now I got charged money because I didn't clean? They even provided pictures about how it wasn't "clean". There was no dirt on the pictures.
17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
9th Feb 2024 (11 weeks ago)I dealt with Ballard's on a house purchase. Although I didn't buy the property, I thought of writing up a quick note to appreciate the team. The level of patience and professionalism is second to none. Young Luke have been superbly helpful, thorough and phenomenal throughout the process.

We have moved very many times nationally and internationally and sold several times before and AJ Homes are simply the best estate agent we have ever worked with. They are unsurpassed for their knowledge of estate agency and know the Bristol area so very well, with an established network of connections with professionals, sellers and buyers. An absolute joy to work with, they always operate with complete integrity and discretion, respecting the privacy of both buyer and seller. Furthermore, you never hear them disparaging their competition which others did and for me demonstrated that when you have to do that, you must know you’ve already lost the game. I highly recommend AJ Homes, having met with half a dozen estate agents locally, finding only one or two who even came close to offering the same exceptional future positive service.
7th Apr 2024 (20 days ago)It has been said that moving home is one of the most stressful times in ones life Unfortunately , this experience for me and my family was not the the norm in the slightest. It took 10 months to complete many ups and downs and i didn't think it would ever happen at one point.Putting all the problems to oneside. Waterfords were my seller's estate agents. Harry Dean was able to keep us in the loop throughout the process. Communications with him was excellent. Harry went above and beyond to help, as solicitors thoroughout the chain were lacking in there communications with each other. If it wasn't for Harry's I'm not sure that I would be living here now. I can't recommend Waterfords enough. They didn't even sell our home. Harry Dean is amazing
27th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)Shut two afternoons in a row with no notice, no info on website, just a handwritten sign in the door. Can't collect Amazon parcels, make PayPoint payments etc as a result. At least keep customers informed online and also inform Amazon so customers don't keep on trying to get items delivered there when the delivery driver can't gain access.
7th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)One month after moving, giving myself time to reflect and consider before writing this review: Dennis, Julie and the team proved to be absolutely amazing throughout the whole process of selling our Crowthorne home, pretty much managing the entire transaction, liasing frequently and closely with ourselves, our solicitors, our sellers estate agents and our buyers estate agents with warmth, compassion, assertive patience, diligence and professionalism. I can think of no criticism, constructive or otherwise, to offer (or cast) and I believe our buyers have experienced the same. Nor am I aware of anyone that I've discussed our move with that has had an experience that has come close. I have, I am and I shall continue to recommend them wholeheartedly.

12th Dec 2023 (20 weeks ago)We have been very pleased with the way Prospect have helped us to sell our home. Davina Dobe, in particular, has been outstanding. She immediately “got” our house, so was able to present our home to its best advantage, giving us sound advice throughout. She has a particular knack of finding positive solutions rather than dwelling on negative problems which has lightened the whole process for us. She and the whole team at Prospect have been thoroughly professional and crucially are easy to contact. Special mention must be made of the amazing sales brochure for our house which was a class above anything else we have seen. Thank you very much Davina and all at Prospect Crowthorne.

Fiona has been professional, prompt, communicative, highly responsive, patient, understanding and polite throughout essentially 2 sales over a prolonged period of time. 11th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)We were delighted with the excellent service provided by Michael Hardy estate agents in selling our house, in what was a challenging market at the end of 2023. The marketing was spot on, and Ben relatively quickly secured a very good offer. When unfortunately this offer fell through due to other buyers at the bottom of the chain pulling out, he quickly secured a second satisfactory offer, which we accepted. He remained positive but realistic throughout, and kept us up to date at all times. Jane then very efficiently and successfully saw the sale through to completion, was ever dynamic and positive, and managed all interactions with great tact and patience! She kept us regularly up to date about progress. And Daragh stepped in as and when necessary - We really felt well looked after by the whole team - A very big thank you from us all!

(33 reviews)2nd Aug 2023 (8 mo. ago)We were looking for a property in Earley/lower Earley We came across many agents however for this particular property which was marketed by Whiteknights, we met their estate agent Amilcar who understood our situation and was very helpful and quick to get us not only the landlord approval and then the tenancy process started. I found Amilcar very helpful and understanding and at the same time Very professional and doing all the checks very thoroughly One particular agent in the area is asking more rent than what is marketed and is starting a price war Based on my recent experience I will recommend Whiteknights and Especially Amilcar

Sage advise from Paul on pricing and presentation and his local contacts resulted in several quality viewings and an offer that we accepted just four weeks after going onto the market. His subsequent attention to detail on the exchange process played a significant part in exchange of contracts seven weeks later. Including the delivery of documents to solicitors for our buyers to expedite process. Thank you Paul !!
