30th Jan 2020 (5 years ago)Martyn was very helpful upon my move in and viewing. However when it was time for me to move out, they withheld some of my deposit money because the property wasn't clean enough. I didn't complain when upon my move in the floor was as dirty as the grount outside, but now I got charged money because I didn't clean? They even provided pictures about how it wasn't "clean". There was no dirt on the pictures.
17th Jan 2022 (3 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

12th Dec 2024 (10 weeks ago)Unfortunately, my experience with this agency was not satisfactory. They have little respect for their clients and are not responsible in their work. Their communication is poor and their unprofessional behavior made me feel like my time was wasted. If you are looking for reliable and professional services, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

27th Oct 2021 (3 years ago)Shut two afternoons in a row with no notice, no info on website, just a handwritten sign in the door. Can't collect Amazon parcels, make PayPoint payments etc as a result. At least keep customers informed online and also inform Amazon so customers don't keep on trying to get items delivered there when the delivery driver can't gain access.
7th Mar 2024 (11 mo. ago)One month after moving, giving myself time to reflect and consider before writing this review: Dennis, Julie and the team proved to be absolutely amazing throughout the whole process of selling our Crowthorne home, pretty much managing the entire transaction, liasing frequently and closely with ourselves, our solicitors, our sellers estate agents and our buyers estate agents with warmth, compassion, assertive patience, diligence and professionalism. I can think of no criticism, constructive or otherwise, to offer (or cast) and I believe our buyers have experienced the same. Nor am I aware of anyone that I've discussed our move with that has had an experience that has come close. I have, I am and I shall continue to recommend them wholeheartedly.

12th Dec 2024 (10 weeks ago)We recently purchased a house from them, and I regret doing so because it felt like they didn’t treat us as valued customers. I was deeply disappointed with how the key was handed over to my sister. Sending it in a plastic punch pocket felt extremely unprofessional; at the very least, it should have been placed in an envelope. As a buyer, I felt let down by this experience. I hope steps are taken to ensure this kind of unprofessionalism doesn’t happen to other buyers, as it reflects poorly on the level of professionalism.

15th Sep 2022 (2 years ago)!! Avoid them at any cost !! They are the most unorganised, unprofessional and the rudest agency I have ever been with, they have left us without a shower for over 3 months, the lied about the property being professionally cleaned, all they care about is money! Lesley and Rob their head of lettings are the people that we have been dealing with, Rob was lying through his teeth to get us into the property, these people don’t have any respect for their tenants! And now since we left the property they are causing so many issues it’s actually an utter joke.
6th Jan 2025 (6 weeks ago)We chose Michael Hardy in Crowthorne to sell our property and in difficult market conditions we finally managed to sell our house. The service we received from all the team at Michael Hardy was first class. Every step along the way, we felt as if we were in good hands. After a comprehensive market valuation with Ben Biggs, excellent photos were taken, and house particulars were designed which we were very happy with. All viewings were arranged and confirmed by phone, email and text and feedback always followed, as well as regular review calls. Every member of the team: Ben, Jane, Daragh and Kirstie carried out viewings and all of them ensured they were familiar with the property and could advise potential buyers accordingly. Once we had found a buyer, Jane Down, the Sales Progressor guided us through the next stage, advising us along the way. Despite several hurdles we had to get through before exchanging, she kept us, and our purchasers updated the whole way through ensuring we were part of all the negotiations needed. We would have no hesitation in recommending Michael Hardy Crowthorne – a delightful, knowledgeable and personable team to deal with during what can be one of the most stressful life events.
23rd Sep 2024 (21 weeks ago)If I could give 0 stars, I would. I opted to withdraw my offer on a property despite being so over the moon it was accepted and loving the house. So sorry to the seller, but it was not worth risking my mental health in dealing with an abrupt, pompous individual. Didn’t even acknowledge my email, though unsurprising given the communication thus far! Shame Rightmove doesn’t allow you to filter out agents!- 15th Nov 2021 (3 years ago)Tom Ward was always there to help us and kept us in the loop at all times. He was understanding when hurdles cropped up and always showed patience and compassion to my elderly mother. A great agent in all respects but in this case with assisted living properties.

14th Jan 2025 (5 weeks ago)I live below an apartment that is rented out by the agency, and ever since the apartment was rented, the people upstairs have been making noise and walking heavily. Sometimes, their friends also come over, staying for about two weeks, and there are usually around 7-9 people in total. I reported these issues to Paul (the manager) with clear evidence; he even saw what is going on in the apartment himself. He assured me that the problem would be solved, that he would take action, and that a carpet would be installed. He told me someone would come to take measurements and that they were in negotiations with a company to handle the carpet installation. However, nothing has been done so far. These are just lies up until now. Officially, there are 3 people living in the apartment above me, but in reality, there are about 7. It has been 5 months since they moved in and 4 months since I have been promised a solution. Paul Surtees, I kindly ask you to resolve the issue with the people upstairs so that we, those living in the apartment below, can live in peace. Stop avoiding the issue and take action! Once you resolve the problem, I will leave a positive review and apologise for the accusations I have made against the agency you work for. Until then, however, all your promises remain empty words.
