As a first time renter, I was very apprehensive about the process of moving house (and pretty clueless aswell) but Abbots have been amazing, and made the process a complete breeze. Everything has happened at a fast pace, and any questions or doubts I may have had have been completely put to rest. I'd like to give a huge thanks to Abbots (and Mackenzie in particular) for the amazing service, and for the genuine care and effort put into helping me move into my first home.

We’ve taken a little while to settle into our new home before making this review, As we wanted to make a true and honest review of our experience and how we felt.
We went to Abbotts in Cromer to see a mortgage advisor and look at a property we fell in love with on right move. Our mortgage advisor Adam, was amazing. We were shown round by Simon and we loved it. So we put in an offer. This was accepted and the ball got rolling.
We then found the communication with abbots go downhill. When we called we were always told they would call us back the same day however each time it was usually about 5 days later and after we already found out the information ourselves from calling the solicitor. So it seemed they were always one step behind. We found this to be annoying and thought maybe this was happening to us because we are first time buyers and we “don’t know any better” but this is just our theory.
We were disappointed that the communication broke down. We ended up going through our mortgage advisor for everything instead of the estate agents as we got answers quicker and more efficiently.
We would like to thank Adam and Olly at Country wide for going above and beyond for us. We really do think if we would’ve pulled out if it wasn’t for them!
On completion day we had to remind them to give us the code to the back door so we could enter our property…as they said Watsons had our front door keys. When we went there they didn’t so it sent us on a wild goose chase to try and find the front door key to the flat building.
We were given a number for us to call to organise ourselves to find the keys, which in our opinion this should have been sorted out in day of completion by them.
Overall, we are happy we are finally in our home. We wouldn’t use abbots again. I know some people probably have a better experience with them but we unfortunately didn’t. We encourage any first time buyers to look about and ask about the best estate agents etc as we didn’t and we ended up regretting

I cannot recommend the team at Abbotts highly enough. When my mother passed away, they got an excellent offer on her house, but the sale fell through due to a 38 week delay with probate. Despite this disappointment they stuck with the property and achieved another good price.
I live in France so it was not easy for me to visit the property, during this time they kept an eye on the bungalow, they organised tradesmen and even did some minor repairs themselves. They saved me a lot of worry and went above on beyond my expectations. Thank you all

What a very refreshing change compared to other local letting agents who have treated us abysmally.
My husband and I are making a long distance move to Overstrand from Warwickshire. (180 miles)
Chris and Amelea have provided an outstanding service.
Queries have been resolved very promptly even if it involved contacting the landlord first, they have both been very responsive and easy to communicate with.
Chris is smart, professional and we’ve found to be helpful at all times.
Amelea has only been with Abbotts 3 months at the time of writing. A very personable young lady, very competent, very helpful and very reassuring during a very stressful time, with a polite and respectful telephone manner at all times.
Amelea has answered queries very promptly, if she hasn’t known the answer she has said so, but given a time frame to find the information and come back to me, not once has she failed to do so.
We have the added bonus of knowing that Abbotts will continue to manage the property once we’ve actually moved in, we have every confidence that any issues will be rectified without delay. (Unlike what we have experienced lately)

I can honestly say that Abbott’s Cromer were the most helpful estate agent as they kept in contact with us on a regular basis - alerting us to properties that we might be interested in and helping us to decide exactly what we wanted. They organised my letting of a beautiful flat in super quick time (going to great lengths to organise all matters thoroughly and also rapidly drawing up a tenancy agreement). Nothing was too much trouble for the team there. They ensured the property was safe for me to move into and put themselves out several times to ensure I could move in on my desired date. I would particularly like to praise Hannah for everything she did personally to facilitate my application and tenancy. Her professionalism and level of care are exemplary. Hannah was helpful and flexible, arranging a last minute second viewing on the day, and sorted out an issue with the place before I moved in. Having dealt with numerous mediocre agents over the years and having gone through a wide array of frustrating problems had made me prejudiced towards the industry as a whole.
However, then having the pleasure of dealing with Nina from the Cromer branch I can safely put to bed any prejudices I may have had as she went absolutely above and beyond and made the whole process incredibly simple and smooth and was very attentive to any needs while dealing with the move.

We found a progress 'chaser' a most useful addition, linking the two ends of the negotiation. A boundary issue could have weakened the resolve without knowing the position of both parties.

I recently bought a house through Abbots Cromer and sold one with another Estate Agent in another county. Hillary the sales progresser at Abbots is certainly that! Chasing solicitors daily, pushing not only the purchase through but also the sale of the house and constantly contacting solicitors. Other Agents will sit back and just let things happen once they have found a buyer for a property but you can be assured with Hillary on the case the completion and exchange will be on her list to do as well.

Thoroughly delighted with the service we have received from the Abbotts team at Cromer. Their proactivity in spotting an opportunity to show excellent purchasers our Dad's bungalow meant we found buyers even before the property was even advertised. The regular communication updates as the sale progressed were welcomed and I am also very grateful for the amount of times they visited the property at the purchasers request as we live 3 hours away. Everyone we dealt with was polite, professional, proactive and highly competent. Thank you.

Professional in their presentation of the property, thorough in their explanation of the Tenancy Agreement and Patient and Kind in answering all my questions. If I was a Landlord I'd have every confidence in appointing them as my Agents.

We live out of Norfolk but were recommended Abbotts Countrywide and specifically Bev regarding a mortgage. The service we received was fantastic and even though we live over 100 miles away nothing was ever a problem! Whenever I called the office, the staff were extremely helpful and now I would not hesitate in recommending them to friends or family.

This was written over a month ago:
Worst company I ever have had the displeasure of using. Rude, unhelpful staff. Do not get back to you with serious issues and never answer emails or phone calls. Am in danger of losing my deposit due to the gross incompetence of this company so I advise you steer well clear of them.
Addendum 26/10/17: Its been over a month now and everyone else has had a response from their reviews from the owner and yet I have not received any response at all. This just goes to show how incompetent they are!

Told them about the mould in our flat for 4 years and were told to just open the windows (which we do), we've had damp in the bathroom after the bath upstairs leaked and the ceiling was supposed to be replaced 3 years ago. a loose tile caused massive damp in the kitchen and has made the Victorian brickwork dangerously soft and crumbly. 3 days ago we had more water coming through the bathroom ceiling, they were informed it needed sorting asap. The problem has been sorted and last night part of the ceiling fell into the bath. They clearly cant be arsed with the job and just want to be paid.
