Had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ken of Allen and Harris. He found me the perfect apartment in the perfect location. I was unsure and nervous about house hunting prior to meeting Ken but he made the whole thing feel exciting and fun and not at all stressful. I would ask Ken a question during the viewing, forget i'd even asked it and then within an hour after a viewing I'd get home to an email answering every question in minute detail, please extra information. He found out all the extra costs, the quirks of the property, and was on hand through the entire process to make everything as easy as possible. I cannot recommend him enough. So classy, so helpful, and so considerate of both my needs and the vendors. 10/10 customer service and a very classy, dapper gentleman to boot. Thank you so much Ken for all your help in finding a wonderful new home.

Ken was absolutely brilliant. I viewed local properties with 3 other agents in the area, no one else presented the properties in as much detail and came back with all the answers to the questions I asked the next day. He looked like he was working hard for the seller and myself at all times during the sale and was highly motivated.

The Allen and Harris Wallingford team have been absolutely superb to us for the past year, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our sale unfortunately fell through on several occasions through absolutely no fault of A&H and every time the team were supportive, proactive and worked really hard to get another sale as quickly as possible. I believe they genuinely cared about getting something sorted for us - in the end they pulled out all the stops and must have worked solidly for several days to ensure that a part exchange went through, despite there being no financial incentive for them in doing so. If you want a team who will keep fighting hard and trying everything to sell your house for the best possible price, look no further. I would definitely recommend them to any family or friends looking to move.

In terms of marketing and selling I would rate them 4/5. Another positive are the solicitors they recommend by default, I found Howells very easy to work with despite not being local. They were reasonable value money and did agree a performance based rate that I was happy to pay. Where they are poor is in looking after their customers once an offer was in place. Communication was not as strong as some other agents in the chain, even allowing for the pandemic. On several occasions facts were omitted to aid their cause, not ours. At no point did we feel they fought our corner during chain negotiations regarding moving dates. In short, trust was an issue. This maybe typical of many agents and the way things are, but I can relay my experience in this case. Anyone considering using them should balance the good with the bad and decide what you value most highly.

RUBBISH!!! Shockingly bad. We purchased a property from them in November 2019 only to move into the property of June 2020, They lost our ID and laughed it off, they didn't keep us informed with what was happening, the estate agent who was helping us sell our own property had to do their job for them and keep us updated. Documents and forms that the seller needed to sort out were done late delaying the process for everyone. We realise recent events caused issues during this process, but as we should have completed in February there wasn't much of an excuse, other company's made us aware of their process during the virus and informed us of ways we could keep in touch or if we couldn't at all or we had at least one call from the area manager to check in with the progress, we had nothing from Allen and Harris, even when there wasn't a lockdown they were hard to get hold of. They allowed our sellers to give the keys to our removal drivers, they obviously didn't make it clear the keys needed to be handed in and again it was just brushed off, this was after waiting over 2hours from giving in our own keys for key release and after several attempts of calling them only to be ignored but as soon as the other estate agent called them they were quick to pick up, the only time they called us was about an hour after they had spoken to the other estate agent and there wasn't even any attempt of an apology. I would never chose to go with Allen and Harris, never with my own property and defiantly not purchasing again as they don't seem all that bothered. Good thing we had a decent Estate agent selling our property who was willing to pick up the slack. I wish there was a minus option or at least the option for no stars!!!!
