I bought my house through Allen and Harris in Wallingford in early 2025. They were so friendly and helpful that I wished I'd sold through them too but unfortunately I'd listed with an online agent who was no help at all.
But speaking as a buyer I have to say that Allen & Harris went out of their way to ensure everything progressed smoothly to completion. They were always friendly and Ken in particular went above and beyond, offering much-needed reassurance throughout as well as practical help to clear some rubbish the sellers were unable to remove. To me it felt like a much-needed handhold during a really stressful time, and I'm really thankful.
I don't expect to be moving again any time soon, but I'm very happy to recommend Allen and Harris to anyone thinking of moving house - they really do seem to have a different approach to other agents, especially online ones if you're ever thinking of going that route.

The offer was accepted and I was thrilled. Then came the huge disappointment, the seller took the house off the market. Undeterred by this setback Justin promised to leaflet the area and find me a new home. He was true to his word and to my astonishment he found me another house just as good, if not better, than the first one. Within three months I had the keys and I couldn’t be happier. AVOID.
Empty promises and false hopes. The subpar performance of their residential sales manager resulted in a significant financial setback of several thousand pounds. We were hastily guided through the process with the belief in our favourable prospects, continually reassured by the manager. Despite our exhaustive efforts within a constrained timeframe, the situation abruptly fell apart. There were no apologies, no outreach attempts, and our emails went unanswered with no updates throughout the process. It was only after the fact that we received a call from the branch manager, delivering the news that we did not secure the contract.

I recently sold and purchased my property with Allen and Harris and the whole experience was totally stress free. Best price was achieved for my sale and a good price was made on purchase through their Auction Department. Justin Jeffreys and his team couldn't have been more helpful. If I needed a document printed off to sign they did it and scanned it back, returned all of my calls and replied to all emails, which was reassuring. Having recently lost my Mother the thought of selling and moving was daunting but with the kindness, caring and absolute professionalism of Justin in particular I have made that transition and my dream has come true. The communication was appalling, they caused panic and stress by giving false information and failed to check whether our buyers required a mortgage or not resulting in more delays and our chain nearly collapsing on multiple occasions. Its a niche property but with the expertise and knowledge of Ken Krupinski we completed in early December. Ken is an excellent communicator, not only with ourselves as the client, but by building good relationships with all concerned in the sale and purchase. Buying a house is stressful at the best of times, adding a global pandemic to the mix makes it worse. However, I found Allen and Harris, Wallingford branch, to be a very calming influence which made me feel a whole lot better.
For example, they would give me regular updates on the progress, keep a clear line of communication with both mine and the sellers solicitors, this assured me that everything was still going as it should. If there was a problem they wold tell me which partly was causing the delay. This was especially helpful for me as first time buyer and also was very comforting, which put me at ease several times.
As the house need a little bit of work they where happy to let me into the house at short notice to work out my plans. This also reassured me that I offered a fare price for the property, which the seller was happy with.

We were really impressed with Ken's professionalism from the outset, especially with the difficulties of COVID and have felt supported throughout the process by him and the team at A&H Wallingford.
Initially we had three valuations and decided to use them for their honest approach, local knowledge, experience and friendly easy going manner.
I don't think you we could have had better presented and more comprehensive property details than those provided by A&H. These are the tools to get the viewings and the property should sell itself if it's been cared for, well maintained and priced accordingly.
We have moved several times before and although it doesn't get any easier, I feel reassured that Ken has secured the best offer on our property and has helped us in the tough search to find the perfect place to move to.

As first time buyers we were quite naive on how to buy a house and went in thinking it will be one of the most stressful things we'll ever do. However, we couldn't have been more wrong.
With the help and guidance of Ken and Justin and the rest of the team at Wallingford Allen & Harris, all went smoothly and we got the keys 9 weeks after our first viewing!
They are a very open and honest team who were more than happy to answer our questions and deal with any queries we had, no matter how silly and small they could have been.
Due to working for many years in the business, the team have built a great network of contacts. They knew people via our seller's company and even our broker. All this enabled for great communications leading to a quick buying process for us.
In light of COVID, they are very educated and prepared; wearing PPE on viewings and requesting we did they same, wiping down all touched surfaces during the viewing and even cleaned the keys when we came to pick them up.
They are a happy team and seem to enjoy their job which shows in their high standard of work and professionalism.
The house we bought was under 3 further estate agents and we are so glad we went with Allen & Harris. We have been renting for many years and have had experience of many different estate/letting agents. This branch have by far been the most pleasant and productive.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ken of Allen and Harris. He found me the perfect apartment in the perfect location. I was unsure and nervous about house hunting prior to meeting Ken but he made the whole thing feel exciting and fun and not at all stressful. I would ask Ken a question during the viewing, forget i'd even asked it and then within an hour after a viewing I'd get home to an email answering every question in minute detail, please extra information. He found out all the extra costs, the quirks of the property, and was on hand through the entire process to make everything as easy as possible. I cannot recommend him enough. So classy, so helpful, and so considerate of both my needs and the vendors. 10/10 customer service and a very classy, dapper gentleman to boot. The Allen and Harris Wallingford team have been absolutely superb to us for the past year, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our sale unfortunately fell through on several occasions through absolutely no fault of A&H and every time the team were supportive, proactive and worked really hard to get another sale as quickly as possible. I believe they genuinely cared about getting something sorted for us - in the end they pulled out all the stops and must have worked solidly for several days to ensure that a part exchange went through, despite there being no financial incentive for them in doing so. If you want a team who will keep fighting hard and trying everything to sell your house for the best possible price, look no further. We could reach you a through phone call or text at any time and someone replied back within minutes, which was really appreciated. You always gave us updated information on the house. After a bumpy start the service we received whilst selling our house was great. Phillip answered all of our questions thoroughly and checked in with us regularly. We mostly corresponded with Gemma, who was brilliant. If we had an inquiry, she got on to it immediately. She kept us updated throughout and was really helpful. I have recently viewed two houses with A&H, once with Sasha and once with Jessica, unfortunately neither of the houses were quite right for me so I am still looking, but I did want to write a review about my experience. On both of my viewings, the agents were on time, were knowledgable about the house and the local area, suggesting ways I could get to work most conveniently and also recommending schools and clubs for my son. I like to ask lots of questions and not once was I met with a 'I don't know' which was so refreshing after so many viewings left with unanswered questions. It was so nice to see two agents so passionate about the properties they were selling and I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend A&H to my friends!

Pushy and pressured us in to cutting corners to 'get the deal done quickly' resulting in empty promises and us being out of pocket. Refuse to accept any responsibility for their wrong doing.
