I’m pleased to write this review, as I’m still amazed at how quick and seamless the service was. When I called about the listing, Alex answered, and we arranged a meeting. On the day, the first great impression was Emma’s punctuality. She arrived on time, gave me a tour of the flat, and answered all my questions. After I confirmed that I was keen on the property, she mentioned she would send the necessary paperwork once she got back to the office. This was another big plus, as it was already after 5 p.m., yet the documents arrived before I even made it home. I’m still impressed by such efficient service. Throughout the process of completing the paperwork, I had a few rather uncommon questions and situations, all of which were resolved with ease. While I can't comment on other Curchods branches, the Woking branch has a remarkably dedicated team who clearly enjoy their work. The high rating they had before this review is thoroughly deserved.

I would be very careful before using this company. I'm a chartered surveyor and because I did a thorough survey which resulted in a lost sale they have advised buyers who have instructed me that they will not permit me access to the property. This is completely unacceptable behaviour.

I initially put my house on the market with Churchods, they found buyers within a couple of weeks but unfortunately my buyers buyer broke the chain at the last minute and the sale fell through, I was devastated. I decided to try other agents and ended up wasting several months with these agents bringing people on inspections who appeared to have no interest in the house. Mark from Churchods kept in touch during all this time, I decided to relist with them and forget about the other agents. Within weeks they had found more buyers and the sale eventually went through to completion. Looking back on the whole selling experience I realise that Churchods match people to the property instead of bringing anyone through. Mark Stanbridge was supportive and very reassuring during such a stressful time, there were no hard feelings when I went with other agents and he and his team were very professional when I decided to relist my house with them again and they managed to get the job done! I thought the property would be difficult to sell, but i priced as advised, and a buyer was found in 2 days. It got a bit fraught as we had to wait for probate, but that's only to be expected. Working with Ellyshia to purchase a property was not a good experience. I first viewed the property and fell in love with it, I keenly told Ellyshia I would consider my offer and let her know the next day after viewing it. By the time I rang her after work, she had told the sellers to accept a rental offer instead of selling. Despite me saying I wanted to make an offer, the property was gone. 6 months later it returned to market, I would have thought Ellyshia would give me a call or an email just to check if I was still searching, since she knew I wanted to make an offer on it previously, but I had nothing. Luckily I discovered the property again online, and keenly called Curchods to get my offer in. I spoke with Mark who was great, but it was the end of the day so he was going to get Ellyshia to call me in the morning. I never got that call. I called Curchods 3 times that day, and never heard from Ellyshia. On the 3rd call Mark spoke with me, and he put my offer forward to the sellers. A few quick calls later, I had offer accepted! Hooray! Mark got it done! Thanks Mark! Unfortunately, going forward I was dealing with Ellyshia again. We often had games of cat and mouse trying to catch eachother at the right time to speak, she was not available, I was not available, whatever. Every single call from Ellyshia would start the same “Hi I hope you’re wellll” and I will have that phrase burnt into my mind until the end of time. I wish her greeting would change once in a while. It never did. Anyway, I was told the tenant would leave the property in 6 weeks after I got offer accepted, which was fine. Unfortunately, Ellyshia must have kept telling the sellers that the right thing to do was to extend the tenancy because it happened multiple times. Early March turned to late April before the tenant was out. Every time I asked when they were leaving, I got a later date. Despite me waiting several months for the sellers to get rid of their tenant so we could finalise the purchase, when I was waiting for the lender I got no patience from Ellyshia. Every day she rang me and emailed me. Every day I would hear “Hiiii I hope you’re welllll” in her fake friendly greeting voice. Update? Can I have an update? Despite being told I would update her when I have an update. Where was this pestering “lets get this done” attitude in the months prior when I wanted to get into the flat? I was patient with the sellers because I wanted the flat, but there was no patience reciprocated at the end. Even asking Ellyshia for basic information, it took days to get answers. Ellyshia told me the flat had been professionally cleaned, but I’ve spent the past 2 evenings in the flat doing nothing but clean. Anyway, I am happy with my flat, but the buying experience and dealing with Ellyshia was not good, then again everyone else I briefly dealt with at Curchods was lovely and helpful. Thank you Mark for getting my offer accepted so swiftly. It was a shame your swift and effective pace was not kept up in the process by your colleague.

We had failed with another agent in the area so we chose to go with Curchods and no regrets. Having experienced what it was like to access the Curchods network as a potential buyer - it was great to be on the sell side of it. The network means any potential buyers are flagged up so quickly so when you call another branch they have your info and have already got some properties lined up for you that might work.
On the sell side, rather than pushing people through the doors with one agent as the main focal point, the entire team came to view our property so they all knew the key selling points - they would then work through their portfolio of clients and match them to us. It just meant we not only had lots of people but the right sorts of people. We had various offers pretty quickly.
Communication throughout was superb, the whole process was professional and easy. We bought through them 12 years ago and sold the same property through them. They are superb to work with and would highly recommend them to anyone in the SW area. Particular mentions to Mark (Sales), Dylan, Ellyshia, Jess who were a great team to work with

We own a few properties near Woking town centre and we asked Curchods for a valuation on one particular property we carried out some work after the tenants left. Justin got in touch and we found his knowledge and experience was invaluable and on point. Whilst we didn’t instruct Curchods on this particular occasion due to a change of plans we highly recommend Curchods if you are considering selling your home. The insight and market wisdom Justin has is invaluable. I genuinely feel there is a competitive advantage Justin and his team have over other agents. I sold my house with Curchods in 2021. Mark and his team not only found a buyer within a fortnight, he went above and beyond in managing what turned out to be a very difficult sale/purchase.
Faced with regularly unhelpful and absent solicitors, Mark was regularly the only person who would tell us transparently what the process was, including details of property law and what that meant for what was happening and possible reasons for delays. He was also instrumental in working with our solicitors and contacting the buyer's solicitor to overcome obstacles and get things moving.
Our sale also didn't complete on the due date, owing to the buyer's solicitor not transferring funds in time. This resulted in us homeless for 3 days. Once again, it was Mark who was regularly chasing those solicitors (and ours), providing the right advice to us, and also was the one who was there for us (and our buyer) for emotional support.
House buying/selling is never easy and I don't know a single person who hasn't had problems. In those times you need someone competent, reliable and always fighting your corner. Mark was that person for us and I'll never forget it.

No proper communication. Viewings weren’t escorted as promised and very few viewings. Price was reduced to less than their original “expected price” and we were recommended just to accept it. Took the conveyancing service but verification documents not passed on to the conveyancer causing problems at exchange. Conveyancer very good and sorted out all issues which was the only good part of the service. I was called by Curchods the day after exchange had taken place to tell me exchange was delayed and I had to tell them it had already happened the day before. Next communication was after the funds had transferred on completion day. No previous contact to arrange for the key handover and they still didn’t say anything until I asked what happened next? Messages from buyer also hadn’t been passed on. Absolutely awful service.

We asked them to find out certain things about the property from the vendor and they never called back - says it all. Makes us wonder about the state of the properties they choose. Mark Stanbridge was our agent and he was as professional as one can be throughout the process. He was engaging when a new property came on to the market via regular emails. Once we liked the property and put on an offer, he was very forthcoming and engaging in the negotiation process.
His role was instrumental during the conveyancing process. He would regularly follow up and patiently handle any queries from both parties. We had the task of selling Mother's property as she decided that the time had come for her to be looked after in a care home. We chose Curchods, Woking, as sole agency. Mark and other team members were exceptional, keeping us informed throughout. Living over 350 mile round trip away, our requests were more challenging than most. Mark found a purchaser after several false starts. As an unoccupied property, the insurance cover requirements are difficult when living at a distance. However, we were reassured when Mark agreed to regularly check the property for security - lights functioning on a timed system, heating adequate, no water leaks, removing junk mail from letter box etc. Whatever requests we made Mark always had a solution. All the personnel in the Woking office work as a team, passing on messages when Mark was unavailable and we had confidence that calls would be returned. We would definitely recommend Curchods.

Mark Stanbridge was the estate agent I dealt with on the recent purchase of my property in Horsell. I had a very positive experience with him. The whole team at Curchods were amazing throughout my whole moving process. They all acted with a professionalism that is unrivalled amongst their local competitors. Mark Stanbridge in particular is worthy of praise. I found him professional yet personable and always attentive. Despite my chain being a little problematic (due to certain solicitors in the chain), Mark managed the chain well in my opinion and always managed expectations and was proactive in ensuring the stability of the chain throughout. Hopefully I won't be moving again for many years but I would recommend Curchods to anyone who is looking to move. They are a cut above the rest.
