I am very unhappy with Foxtons Wimbledon team assistance. I moved out of the flat on October, it took them 3 months to give my deposit back and they have double charged me for the house cleaning and no one responds to my emails so I can get my refund.

We came to Foxtons after being let down by another agent. Sofia and her team were extremely professional in ascertaining our needs, and then driving foot traffic through our apartment, resulting in a series of viewings we hadn't previously received. They found us a buyer and were professional right through the sales process, and despite a number of hurdles, they provided us with terrific support in achieving the right sale with the right buyer. I don't think we could have achieved this without their support, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them for selling your property in and around London.

Yesr long waiting and chasing to solve an issue.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Foxtons. They made several false promises before I moved into the property, assuring me that everything was in great condition and fully working. The moment I got the keys, I discovered the truth -multiple things were damaged, not working, and far from what was advertised.
Their customer service has been equally frustrating. The staff are dismissive, unhelpful, and at times downright rude. Instead of assisting with genuine issues, they seem more focused on making money than providing any real support to tenants.
Overall, I feel misled and let down. I would not recommend Foxtons to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable letting experience.

We had such a good experience with Foxtons Wimbledon. After three unsuccessful attempts to sell our flat with another estate agent, we were feeling quite pessimistic about our chances. However, Foxtons turned that around almost immediately. They managed to get us an offer within a week, which was a huge relief.
A big shout-out to Emma, who was brilliant from start to finish. She worked incredibly hard to navigate some tricky issues that cropped up and kept everything on track when things could easily have dragged on. Her communication was very good throughout. Emma always kept us in the up to date on progress and did a great job of keeping things moving.

Foxtons letting agent didn't even show up for my prebooked viewing today. Last time another of their agents showed me a property with elemts I told them I specifically cannot have for health reasons. Another branch I dealt with recent made and booked the same booking 12 times over the course of a week and then when I arrived on the day, refused to show it me and told me in rapid fire quick succession 4 different obviously false reasons why they allegedly couldnt show it to me, and yet it's still in the market over a month later. Literally use ANY other agent but Foxtons, sellers / landlords, please!

Our experience with this agency has been extremely poor so far.
They were very pushy and persistent when they wanted us to sign and pay, contacting us constantly.
But once the payment was made,communication suddenly stopped: calls and emails were ignored, and it became impossible to get clear information or updates.
I also experienced rude behavior during the only call that was answered this late afternoon ( I called from a different phone number), the man I spoke with was completely unprofessional and even hung up on me.
Overall, the service has been unreliable, stressful and far below acceptable standards.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

I had an amazing experience with Foxtons, thanks to Zak. He is genuinely one of the most professional and responsible agents I’ve ever met. Zak drove us to view several properties and took the time to explain every detail clearly. Each recommendation he made was based on our needs, which really showed how attentive and thoughtful he is.
What impressed me even more was how responsive and proactive he was after the viewings. He followed up quickly, kept us updated on every step, and made the whole process so much easier and smoother.

I was very disappointed with the level of customer service Foxton agency Wimbledon . The staff were not polite and did not make any effort to communicate in a respectful or professional manner. My concerns were dismissed, and I felt as though my questions were an inconvenience to them rather than an opportunity to help. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a poor impression, and I would not recommend their services based on the lack of courtesy and care shown.

We had a confirmed viewing for a 1-bedroom flat in Woodside, Wimbledon (Rightmove Ref: 163314110 – which is still listed as available). Just two hours before the appointment, Foxtons called us asking if we would also view two other properties. We agreed, but made it very clear that we were coming mainly for the original flat. We asked if it was still available; they told us yes.
When we arrived, we were only shown the two alternative properties. When we asked about the flat we actually booked to see, we were told it had already been taken. That was never mentioned during the phone call just two hours earlier. Even worse, the listing is still live online, which feels completely misleading.
We felt tricked;
like they used the flat as bait just to get us in and show us other listings. It was a waste of our time and left a very bad impression.
Although the person who showed us around was polite, the overall experience was dishonest and unprofessional. We don’t trust Foxtons Wimbledon after this and would not recommend them.

I just completed on selling my flat through Charlie Jenkins at the Wimbledon branch of Foxtons. Charlie was proactive and upbeat during the whole process. And he never made me feel pressured to do anything that would compromise my situation.
Due to several reasons beyond our control, the process was slower and more frustrating than it should have been...mainly due to unresponsive and unproactive solicitors. Charlie did so much extra leg work and even knew when to get his manager, Sofia Whiter involved. As a team, Charlie and Sofia made so many extra phone calls and wrote emails to prompt and chase people. They made both me and the buyer very confident in the process. Thank you Charlie and Sofia!

Be prepared to use the mydeposit scheme otherwise you will lose out on your deposit. Guaranteed they will do it to you. Ended up losing out on £100 instead of the £650 they claimed for.
PS it's the agency you have to worry about not the landlord.

Recently made contact over the past few months to view and secure a rental property.
Was shown a place in Wimbledon by a young enthusiastic and a bit green Estate agent from the Balham branch.
He didn’t call the tenant beforehand and unlocked the door whilst the tenant was still in the property. Fortunately, the tenant wasn’t upset or in a private situation and let us view.
During the offer process there was a clear bidding war type scenario created by Victoria ‘Tor’ Lea. She was condescending, rude and probably made a fictional counter offer to play us off.
She on multiple occasions told us to increase our offer which despite not doing she phoned back 4 times as it still got accepted.
The second interaction which encouraged me to make this post was with ‘Angelina’ at the Wimbledon branch. She told me I would end up homeless or in temporary accommodation if I didn’t compromise whilst raising her voice on the phone.
Generally advise from a place of sincerity, experience with estate agents and renting for over a decade to avoid Foxtons if you don’t want the headache of scaremongering or worse being spoken to like a child.
To Foxtons, please could you address these behaviours with adequate customer service training and refining interpersonal communication skills amongst your workforce.

The lady who called me was trying to book me for an appointment to see a property without even sending photos or disclosing how many years of lease there were left (even though I asked for the information).
Very rude and poor service. She hanged up on me while I asking questions. I confirm that what I heard about Foxtons reputation is true. Avoid at all costs!

I never had to deal with ruder, disrespectful, team.
This agents literally are not listening to anything what people are saying to them. Thay don't understand 24h notice, thay don't understand that somone have private life. Foxtons agents will poison your life. We are tenants living in the property and the way how agents are treating us it's shocking. We receiving 100 messages and phone calls from them asking about viewings in 1,2 or 3 hours. Diffrent times in the same day. Mornings, evenings, afternoon. 10 diffrent agents. They don't understand people are working or just simply are out. Couple of times when we said NO to the viewings they were complaining to landlord strate away. Simply WOW

I had spoke with one agent (I dont remember his name) from Foxton Wimbledon office and he was very demanding that we compromise our choices in order to find something appropriate by our taste. I was a bit upset as I liked what they offer but he was very pushy we compromise rent or location. Did not want to show us what we asked for. Saying it was not convenient for us.. I hang up.
After that I did an enquiry for one of the properties I liked and Martin ( Foxton Wimbledon office) was the one that follow up. He had very professional approach. Listen to our demands and manage to fulfil all of them for good value of property, location and budged. Our agent was Martin from Foxton Wimbledon. He was very understanding of what we were looking for. He had many options to offer based on what we asked. Always kept in touch and making sure everything goes smoothly. I highly recommend him. **Avoid Foxtons if you want to avoid heartbreak after finding a rented home.**
Good in helping us find a place, back-stabbing in discussions in the offer to renew it after a year. Huge rent increase, long-renewal and no break-out clause (Standard in Foxton contracts). The ES agent's stance were unreceptive of negotiating, interactions were dismissive and unpleasant. I am very sad to be leaving my current home.

Working with Emma was a game changer. Right from the start her vibe was all about being friendly and super energetic, which made the whole house buying process much much easier. She's very chill yet super organised, not the type to give you 10 calls in 2 hours pressuring you to make a decision or chasing after you for a good review. Emma got this awesome mix of being professional, funny, and totally on the ball. She answered all my questions, no matter how small, It's pretty clear she knows her stuff way better than any other agent I've worked with before. Incredibly they cancelled again new appointment 45 min before and I was already arrive the location. We secured our first flat in the UK with them and they are real professionals at what they do. I'm sure this applies to the rest of the team but honestly I have to mention Leo specifically. He understood what we were looking for from the first day %100 and was a complete champ throughout the process. He didn't waste a single second of our time with flats that did not fit us, he stayed reachable at all times and honestly every single flat he showed us were easily among the best we've seen during our search. The truth is: once you move in, they cut the contact ???? then, entire tenancy no contact at all, missing files on their website (inventory file, so quite important). Also at the end of the tenancy, no contact at all. Zac, Rupert (or someone with a similar name) - couldn't reach them. Actually they only contact you when in need to arrange viewings for the next tenants. Soo ridiculous and funny tho. ????

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the agent Tom Stanley. He demonstrated complete unprofessionalism throughout the entire process. Firstly, he forgot the agreed viewing time, causing us unnecessary inconvenience. Secondly, when we arrived at the office, we were made to wait for him, which is the opposite of what should happen in a professional setting.
Worse yet, when he finally took us to the property, it was nothing like what we had requested. We ended up in a lengthy queue for viewing, waiting for over 30 minutes. He seemed utterly unconcerned, even though we had a baby with us, leaving us outside waiting in that queue without any care or assistance.
This agent's behavior was not only unprofessional but also rude. He displayed a total lack of skills and understanding of his clients' needs. It's shocking that he is associated with a well-known agency with an elite reputation, as our experience with him was anything but elite. I strongly advise against working with this agent.

My partner and I were trying to find a place and move to London for about two or three months before we came across Foxtons. There, we started speaking with Angelina Senk who made more progress in the search for our new home in a day than we have been able to do from afar in all this time.
Moving to London is still a very difficult thing to do, especially if you're trying to attend viewings with last-minute notice and you live in Cornwall. After having gone through a lot of hardship and multiple agencies, Foxtons and more specifically, Angelina was the person who finally helped us secure a new home. During the entire process, she was very helpful, friendly and responsive.
So if someone we know would be interested in moving to London, this is the place we will recommend.

Everything was ok until it got closer to our move out date. With the agency pushing our landlord to increase the rent from £1650 to £2300 we decided to move. Following that the lettings team really ruined our opinion on this agency and treated the peace of our home like it meant nothing. We had an unwell newborn and neither member of the team seemed to care… we would have multiple messages a day, 24 hour notice wasn’t respected, they couldn’t stick to a time slot (arrived late), and didn’t bother letting us know when viewings were cancelled were the fact I had to rearrange my routine to feed baby before they arrived. Due to this we asked to speak to someone because of the stress it was causing and the entire group of staff ignored my message and continued to just hound us about viewings. I took it into my own hands to email management and still waiting for acknowledgment over a week later. Disappointing. Be better?

The lettings team are great help when looking to rent. They did a fantastic job. But the moment you move in is when the good service stops. We have had countless issues with the property, yet none of them are sorted quickly. We had no fully functioning hot water and heating for the first 26 days of our tenancy, and we currently have a broken sink pipe that hasn't even had a plumber look at it after a week. If you have to wait for landlord approval for everything, then what's the point of an estate agent? Causing me nothing but stress for a property we pay a healthy amount for.

I originally listed my flat in Colliers Wood with another local agent. They weren’t able to get the right buyers in to view it, so I approached Foxtons in Wimbledon needing help. It turned out to be the best possible move. Andrea and his team were amazing. The number of viewings shot up, and it didn’t take long for offers to come in. I accepted one after a bidding war, and the sales process started. Andrea guided me step by step through each stage, making me feel at ease, as this was the first property I had sold. Throughout the sale, I was anxious that the property was empty, and my rental income had ceased after my tenants moved out. I was quickly put intouch with the lettings team, where upon they filled the flat with some short term tenants, followed by some longer term ones (who had the option of staying in the property after the property changed hands). This regular income was invaluable throughout the sale process, plus it was fully managed by Foxtons, and turned out to be stress free. I can’t thank them enough, and I highly recommend using Foxtons in Wimbledon. I originally bought the flat from Foxtons many years ago, so it was fitting that they were able to sell it for me. I have been struggling to find a property to rent for the past 3 months despite tens of viewings and offers, but Zak completely turned this around with his unremarkable knowledge around the rental market and the properties he was in charge of. Not only was he was quick to respond to our enquiries, viewing requests, and offer status, he also gave us extremely helpful advice in regards to how to stay competitive in the market.

It was a very positive experience. Having worked with another agency previously, who consistently managed to disappoint us, Foxtons were the complete opposite. They did exactly what they said they would.
Rupert, who was our main point of contact, was precisely what we were looking for in someone to help us rent our home. He was efficient, low drama, with very clear and rapid communications (e.g., emails were typically answered within an hour).

Having issues moving in to another property (through another Lettings Agency) I went to Foxtons for help in finding a new propert to let and I was contacted by Omar El-Sebai.
In a tough market with a low supply of properties at the time, Omar was able to help me find the perfect flat to let with an immediate move-in date of less than a week which saved me a lot of money on hotels.
Omar is one of the best lettings agents I have been in contact with. He is professional, customer service oriented (cares about the tenant) and listens to what the tenant wants/is looking for. I am very thankful for the time he put in to find a property based on my criteria and for his positive attitude.

Owing to the saturated rental market, renting in London was becoming a stressful experience; however, Foxtons helped us secure a property. A special mention to both ‘Liz’ who made us feel welcome every time we entered the Wimbledon Branch and ‘Zak’ who went above and beyond to find us a property. He listened to all of our requirements and on the day of viewing was very proactive in helping us find an alternative property when we were not keen on the first. Unfortunately we've had consistent issues with Foxtons, and couldn't recommend them to anyone.
There is a lack of communication, unprofessional members of staff (just had a very rude phone call) and at this point Foxtons are breaking their own terms in returning our deposit. We were good tenants, obeyed all requirements and left the tenancy in a good way and we are rewarded with nearly a month on not having received our deposit. This is just one issue of many.
When leaving the tenancy we had many viewings booked at as little as 30 minutes notice, and when showing new tenants round there was consistent misinformation given (that the tenancy has parking, or bike storage, or even a roof terrace!). We corrected agents many times but the same misinformation was given repeatedly. It's a consistent issue as we were given the same misinformation when we first rented the place, and only discovered the reality when moving in.

Shocking! I can only describe like that. First and last time I use foxtons, never ever again.
Booked a viewing for a flat; email confirmation arrived. Meeting point at office and was weird...asking if we could meet at the property and never received an answer. Ok.
I arrive to the office, jumping in the car with a lady to go on tour of 4 different properties never seen before and never requested for to have a good idea of their selection...requesting when I go to the booked initial property but she said that today is not possible as tenant not allowing access. What,???????
I lost 3h of my time to go on tour in car of properties I have not requested. Are you kidding me?
Ok I went in the first property, nice but....asking price 1900 against my Max known budget of 1500. When I said...that she knows my budget she said....but you can ask ...sure landlord accepts 25% off because I am a good guy.
I got upset and finally we went back to office without viewing the only property that I booked for.
When I asked why she didn't inform us that this is politeness she said.....I didn't have the contact details.....laughinggggg.
She had email and number of my partner but maybe she was thinking that for me would have been ok losing 1h of my time in car tour for unknown properties.
I have been looking for flats in London for 10 years and this seems a unreal movie. Never thought that this could happen.

Foxtons have now found the last two tenants for my Southfields/Wimbledon BTL property and I couldnt be happier. Foxtons in Wimbledon have scammed us for over 5000 pounds from a deposit we put down to rent a flat, which in the end didn’t work out due to their own faults and never paid us back. I have been fighting for this to be paid back for over 2 years now and they won’t admit their faults. Me and my partner were looking into renting in west London and came accross some properties in Wimbledon area. I had the viewings with Sara who was very professional and polite, she showed me around a few properties and grasped a good sense of what me nd my partner were looking for! Although we never went with Foxtons and the only reason being is we were looking for a place quickly and found one elsewhere. Otherwise great experience and would go with them in future if things are kept at this standard/level. Again thank you to Sara at the Wimbledon branch who has been amazing.

I was unable to view the house I let in person because I arranged it from abroad. The photos they showed me were misleading, and the house was damaged, dirty, and mouldy. My cat did cause some damage to a carpet, which I was happy to pay for, but they withheld my entire deposit, claiming that I caused damage that was there when I moved in. Agents were also very rude and gave little notice when showing the property. I would never use their services again.

My wife and I are very happy with the service provided by Chris Hooper of the Foxtons Wimbledon office. Chris first gave us a good rental valuation and then secured a tenancy close to the asking price, within ten days that the house had been on the market. The checking and referencing process was swift and the tenants took possession of the property one week after their initial offer. Based on this experience, I would definitely recommend Foxtons Wimbledon to local landlords.

We had the pleasure of dealing and buying with Lucy Darby at this particular branch of Foxtons, so let me write the first part of the review about our dealings.
She is an exceptional professional at her job, when faced with a incredibly immature seller, Lucy managed to help us navigate the buying process with as much reduced hassle as possible...given the above stated difficulties. Had I been in her position and dealt the same card, I can say for sure I wouldn't have been so cool and calm given some of the situations.
The reason I'm awarding 3 stars is because prior to us being allocated Lucy as our agent. Foxtons showed all the typical arrogance associated with their "reputation" where Tom and Tom (one of them is a manager, apparently) wouldn't take us seriously with our offer (which was accepted, as it wasn't far off asking) and really brushed us off in most instances which I'm sure most house buyers would find incredibly frustrating, offensive and most of all arrogant.
Why?
I'm not really sure, maybe because we are younger than their typical clientele in the area? Maybe because we didn't 'look' like buyers who could afford the area? Anyway whatever it was, with some persistent calling and chasing it was sorted and the rest is history as we got Lucy.
Maybe this was a one off and hopefully we were an anomaly when it came to an initial mediocre service and attitude.
It might be useful to remember that without the buyer, no agents in the area or industry would make any money, so even if you have an opinion or an internal judgement then keep it yourself and respect the client for what they are there for. After all, they help pay your wages/commision like any customer facing business.

We know Foxtons tend to have a reputation about themselves but to be perfectly honest, we have used Foxtons each time we have wanted to rent, buy, rent out or sell our property. Frankly, they are the only agents who give a damn and are driven hard to get a deal done. They work hard, are always available when required, fit viewings in to accommodate the fact that people have a job to do and can't make it to viewings by 5:30pm or 6pm, which is about as late as any other agent will work.
We sold our place in Wimbledon recently and I have to say Tom Lebbern from Wimbledon and James Brodnicki from the Putney branch did an absolute fantastic job throughout the entire process. From the due diligence on the offer received, following up with the other side when required, obtaining the required information and communicating it effectively to the last minute curve balls....all handled perfectly. Most importantly remaining patient with us during the stressful moments and being a superb conduit between all parties involved. All 5 stars.
James went above an beyond and literally had to pick up the slack for the buyers solicitors by explaining the process and requirements to him.
They did a fantastic job calming our nerves and explaining what to expect along every step of the way. We had briefly considered listing the property ourselves via an online service and I can only say that in hindsight, we have no regrets not having done that. Listing a property and the viewings is perhaps the easiest part of the entire process. The issues that potentially crop up during the process are endless and unless you have nothing else to do, managing a sale is a full time job in itself.
Yes, it's painful paying the commission away, but I can say with certainty that if it wasn't for Tom and James the transaction would have fallen apart pretty much at the start. I truly think they earned it.
Foxtons has a reputation for being expensive but no one else is that much cheaper either. You get what you pay for and in the grand scheme of things, I think it's better to cough up a little more and be sure of what you're getting.

Having been letting my property through a rival estate agents for the last few years, someone mentioned I should give Foxtons a go. Any worries due to preconceived impressions of the company were quickly put to rest after meeting Chris Hooper who was knowledgable, amiable and professional. My overall experience was good. When we started looking they really helped a lot, asked a lot of questions to establish exactly what we are looking for and the suggested flats were all spot on. But as soon as we signed it took forever to get hold of our agent. He replied to our e-mails 2 days later and only after we had called the agency to see what's going on. It was a bit stressful since we had quite a few queries regarding the flat. Apart from the last bit, they were very helpful and we did get a great flat.

Really poor estate agent. Super pushy when they want to show you something. Everything they showed us was way out of our budget because "everything is negotiable" apparently. When we put in an offer slightly below the asking price we were called "time wasters" and "annoying" by one of the managers (Tom something). Honestly, they incarnate everything that is bad about estate agents. Sorry.

Our treatment by Wimbledon Foxtons Branch,and particularly Jarryd Reay, was absolutely brilliant. They respected the fact that I work in a hospital and can't accept calls during work hours and contacted me via email which was preferable. Jarryd took time to sort through the properties and we were only shown ones that fitted exactly to our requirements. I used Foxtons given their well established reputation. A very efficient and warm reception given when my son and I arrived. We were passed to Jack McGovern who proved to be very responsive to our needs and identified good relevant properties for us to look at. He was extremely informative, courteous and above all helpful and when we did bid on one of his properties he made his best efforts to bring both sides together. In the end it was a demand of the owner which I could not live with that broke any deal. Despite that set back, Jack made many follow-ups and all were appropriate. At no time did I feel he was just going through the motions which was so much appreciated when time is tight and it created a professional trust which any purchaser wants with the vendor's agent. Absolutely one of the best estate agents I have used. The first agent I used was just not getting the flat sold, however Foxtons marketed the flat really well, got lots of viewings, and found a buying very quickly. The whole operation was much less painless than I've had in the past, and would most definitely use them if I ever move back to SW London.

Had a great experience with Emlyn from the Wimbledon office as I only had limited time due to flying back to NZ the next day. Emlyn managed to fit me in and quickly showed me 3 places, 2 of them were a perfect fit, while the other was more of a price comparison which was good to see. During the week back home I was was happy to receive a follow up call from Emlyn, however I was not not impressed that 3 other Foxtons representatives were contacting me also at 12am, 2am and 4am. In addition, due to the time difference, Emlyn was the only one that contacted me at a reasonable hour - obviously the message that we were in NZ didn't quite get to the other team members.
