After the initial pitch to secure the contract to sell our property, the disparity between the description of their services and the reality of what they actually deliver, became almost immediately apparent.
The photographs of the property, the wording of the brochure and the main online advert, needed a great deal of input from me before I was satisfied with the outcome.
Feedback on viewings was very poor and needed chasing up.
We had an email, out of the blue, telling us that our property was being withdrawn. We were, of course, shocked. When we contacted them, we were told that it “ must have been an admin error .“
No clear explanation or apology was given.
When the 16 week contract came to an end, they failed to have it taken down from the portals until I informed them that it was still live, and that we had engaged another agent.

Jonathan gave us sound advice on improvements before we put the property on the market. Jonathan listened to us on the type of buyer From the London market our property would suit. On the viewing day when there was a shortage of staff due to Covid 19 restrictions Jonathan stepped in and worked on the viewing day. Donna was a very skilled negotiator and secured a sale. Before we put our house on the market Jonathan gave us sound advice on what to improve to attract buyers. We were listened to on the type of buyer that would fit the house. Despite staff illness/Covid situation Hamptons managed a full day of viewings for us resulting in a buyer. Donna was an excellent negotiator and dealt with any buyer concerns quickly and efficiently.
