Firstly I must say a massive thank you to Lauren , who has gone above and beyond to help my cousin. Who found herself in such an awful situation. Losing a sister and then 10 days later losing her partner.
From our first contact with Leaders we was greeted by Lauren whom listened to the dreadfully sad news of my cousin, she become so kind and caring towards her which as helped her so much. Sold my home through Leaders in Clacton and although the sale wasn't as smooth as I was hoping (due to my solicitor) Rick, Tom and Karl in the branch were amazing. From updating me when things were happening to helping me fill in paperwork for my solicitor they were great. Rick was fantastic helping out when I couldn't get answers from my solicitor with what the holdup was too. I couldn't recommend Leaders enough if you are selling your home.

Great communication from Karl in sales. and customer support from Rebecca in Lettings. Karl contacted me to advise of a property that coming up at auction that I may be interested in. He also arranged for me to view at my convenience. He was polite and very helpful. Once I had purchased the property the letting team had previously managed the property for a landlord and were able to assist and provide information that they had on file which helped me massively. Again Rebecca was very helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend and hope to do business with them in the future.

Leaders Clacton thinks it’s acceptable for a pregnant woman to live in a flat that is covered in mould. She been in the property for about 3 months. The landlord and Leaders have ignored requests for her to vacate the property for the safety of herself, partner and unborn child. They have ignored responsibility and the duty of care towards human life. I would avoid choosing Leaders as the way they have treated her and her unborn child is disgusting.

Update 12 January 23- Must Say I am very disappointed with Thomas Barton Manners maketh the man. I relisted my house the last week of December with Thomas and was under the assumption he would be handling the Sale. Too my surprise I receive a call yesterday from his colleague, who informed me Thomas had moved on and she would be handling the sale which she promptly asked me to lower the price by £5k after 3 weeks on the market.
As far as I am concern the contract I signed was with Thomas Barton, who would have know he was leaving and would not be around to handle the sale, disgraceful to be mislead in this manner. so it just goes to show these agents will portray themselves in any light to achieve the desired outcome. so from 5 stars down to 2. Should not mislead Customers!
I have had many agents over the years try and sell my house, but Thomas Barton is the "creme de la creme". Not only is he a presentable, personable, professional, he genuinely cares about and listens to his clients. He is committed to keeping his clients safe by strictly adhering to Covid guidance, going round and sanitising anything potential buyers may have touched, even ventilating the house after viewings in order to keep us safe. Thomas even brought my wife beautiful bouquet of flowers after she had been in hospital, and I am sure that came out of his own pocket.
It is this individual tailored experience that Thomas and Kelley have provided that makes what is usually a stressful process quite enjoyable.
Leaders is very lucky to have Thomas, if ever I am selling another house, I am sure to use Thomas Barton again, which ever agency he is working for.

I had an awful service from the manager of this agent. After looking at my property he begged me to sign the contract there and then on the same day of viewing. Yes my mistake for not reading what I signed into .. but the underhanded person locked me into a contract for 16 weeks and on a sole agent. When I asked the manager to take my property off the market .. all his answer was you are sealed into this contract … awful behaviour. Be careful what you sign with these guys !!!!

It was my first time renting and if I were to do it again I would 100% pick leaders, simply because of the service I got from Olivia! She’s absolutely amazing, she was so attentive to me, she went above and beyond to make sure I had a good first experience and it seemed so much less daunting having her there. Tom from the Clacton branch was amazing! He always conducted himself in the most professional manner but at the same time was down to earth and very easy to talk things with through.
As a first time buyer, I was nervous about the whole process and there were a number of aspects of buying a property that I was not 100% sure of. Tom went through things clearly with me and broke it down so that I fully understood everything.
Tom was never too busy to answer my questions on the phone or by email.
In my opinion, Tom is a great representation, not just for the Clacton branch but for Leaders as a whole.
If I am ever in need of an estate agents in the future, I would have no doubts about using Leaders and would absolutely request Tom to assist me

Leaders have done a fantastic job selling our house.
We had it on the market with another agent for a while who unfortunately couldn’t mange to get any viewings which we found very strange
However once we switched to leaders we had a viewing the following day and 6 viewings that week by the second week we had sold our property.
They did all there due diligence on the buyer and we’re also very proactive with there sale from beginning to the end. We had a little stumbling block near the end to no fault of leaders and they helped us with it.
Kelley was fantastic, great work ethic and easy to work with, Tom was also really helpful and Kerry the sale processor was also great.

I had a nightmare of a flat to sell with an extremely low lease, it had been with other agents with no luck, i thought it was impossible to sell. I contacted leaders and was assigned Daniel Shurey who came to my home and despite with my lack of confidence he told me he thrives of a challenge and reassured me he will sell my property. After meeting Daniel , he was able to draw in possible buyers and not only secured one, but in the worst financial time (covid). Daniel was fast at response , professional , down to earth persistent and got the job done fast. Be careful both buyers and sellers!.
Went for a second viewing on Saturday and made an offer there and then stating it will be a cash purchase and therefore not subject to lenders valuation or survey.
On Monday Kelly phones to say offer accepted and put in writing . Tuesday morning I instructed solicitor to proceed with purchase and them all details and deposit paid.. Emailed Kelly with proof of funds, solicitors details and stating as flat was vacant I could complete within 14 to 28 days if acceptable with vendor.
Done and dusted?. No, Kelly calls Wednesday morning to say she had taken someone to view the flat Tuesday night and they had put in a higher offer and would I like to increase my offer.
Urgh no!. An offer accepted in writing, solicitor working on the sale and they still show the apartment, take another offer then call me to gazump them!. Dirty tricks Kelly and obviously not an ethical estate agent.

I have been with Leaders for quite a few months now after being badly let down by 9 out of 10 of the agents I had used in Clacton, trying to sell my property.
Right from the word go, from Carly to Blake, Daniel and Kelly in the sales team, it has been a very friendly professional service and communication has been first class.
They all deserve a huge pat on the back and all the positive praise that comes their way, as they do actually care about their clients and that fact shines through in the way that they keep in constant touch and stay really friendly both over the telephone and in the office. They are all very welcoming and I really couldn't have asked for a better experience from them all. Most of all, they can all have a laugh with their customers and helps to keep the stress levels down. I will miss all of them when I eventually move and if I ever could take any people with me to my new destination, it would be this bunch. Kelly over the last few months has been exceptional, not only in securing a buyer for me and my partner, but she has been really understanding and made us feel very much at ease with the whole situation. A friendly face makes all the difference and Leaders in Clacton have all of them.

I placed my mother"s flat on the market some time ago with Leaders Estate agency who, I have to say, have worked incredibly hard to achieve a good sale for me. Throughout recent months, the uncertainty surrounding Brexit has proven to be a difficult time for estate agents and vendor's alike.
However, all staff at Leaders have remained positive and cheerful.
One member of staff however has shone through with constant updates and cheerful enthusiasm. Kelly Lloyd kept me posted almost daily and has informed me of all relevant comments from prospective purchasers. Do not actually do anything to help you.
Will gladly take all your money but will not do any work on a property managed by them.
Will not tell you what you have to pay until you've already signed everything and then drop unexpected charges on you.
Most expensive estate agents in the area and you dont even get what you pay for.
Can't be bothered to properly liason with landlords.
Willing to let children under 5 freeze through winter because of a poorly built flat and poor heating inside, wouldn't contact landlord either.
Lie about what happens when your landlord can't legally sign a new contract (told us not to pay rent increase but then on moving out told us we owed them money for rent but didnt pull up on it for the 5 months we supposedly underpaid)
All they care about is their pay check, not the actual human beings they house.

Leaders have looked after my better half’s property’s for over 15 years one of which is in hull and locally. The full management and rent guarantee is peace of mind for her and enables her to get on with her day job. Chloe is on the ball and the normal point of contact although there have been no other issues when other members of there staff have been involved. Many years ago we had a problem with a tenant and we were very well supported, its when things go wrong you find out if you have the right management team.

I’ve been a tenant for 7 years at the same property but sadly I’ve had to move out due to ill health and disabilities. My property Manager has been Mitch and I cannot thank her enough for all her help over the last couple of years which has been very tough for me. Letting agents work for the landlord in the main, but you’d think Mitch was working for me, always replies to my emails, understands that with my anxiety not to call me as I don’t answer the phone, she has always emailed me and been so understanding and has shown such empathy towards my conditions.
Luckily nothing much went wrong with the property but when the odd thing did happen, Mitch was always in contact keeping me updated.
Mitch’s knowledge of Letting’s is also second to none and has provided me with lots of assistance and information with my move as I had to cut my lease short by a few months, whenever I have had any worries, she has always been able to ease my mind.
Mitch is a great credit to Leaders and they should be very proud to have someone as professional as her working for them.
Mitch, I’ve thanked you many times, but sincerely, you have made some very difficult times a lot easier to deal with, thank you again so much for everything.

Far more expensive than other letting agents. Poor service from the start with misinformation, including not letting us know there was a washing machine in the kitchen and informing us that there was a loft, when there isn't.
Slow to send through the inventory, which was 52 pages long and contained multiple errors.
Maintenance team are disorganised and slow at responding and most of the companies used are incompetent and lacking in specialist skills.
This includes:
Taking MONTHS to finally attend to investigate the problem with the upstairs radiators coming on whenever the hot water is on.
Taking 2 visits to 'fix' the toilet with the wrong part. This then required a further visit from another company who actually fixed the problem - by fitting the correct part.
Sending a plumber to fit a blind in the lounge - he admitted he had never done one before. He fitted the weights upside down and we corrected this once he had left.
Arriving - very late - with the wrong type of replacement shower.
Taking 2 visits to fix the stairs - had they checked the other stairs upon the first visit they would have noticed that other repairs were necessary.

Although More Estate have not sold my property as it was with a join agent. They have worked very had to try and find me a buyer.I have had several viewings which have been conducted in a professional pleasing manner with good feed back. Presentation of all advertising has been to a good professional standard.

We use the Letting Shop exclusively for managing our properties in Clacton. They are a very professional outfit headed by Craig who always goes the extra mile to deal with any enquiries we make. We chose them originally because of their friendly approach and attention to detail. We use their Silver service which has a rent guarantee and legal fees cover if ever required. They have always found good tennants quickly. Their reputation is good for their tennants and Landlords alike. We continue to renew with them and add properties as our potfolio grows. I have just moved into a beautiful bungalow through the letting shop, as a disabled lady I need to have confidence in the people I am dealing with in order for me to feel safe. I was dealt with by Craig and Rebecca, I found them to be extremely efficient in all aspects of getting my tenancy up and running. They were both kind and very considerate when it came to me and my disability. ever thing I needed to take into them was dealt with straight away and I was happily settled in within 14 days. Finally I feel happy that if I have any problems or questions they will help me straight away this in turn making me feel safe

I have 2 properties which I rent out through The Letting Shop and I have always had a very good service from them over the years. In particular Craig from the Clacton branch is excellent and very helpful. Also Naomi, one of my property managers in the Colchester branch, is very professional and took any stress away from being a landlord. I have had a number of issues with tenants over they years which you can expect being a landlord for a long period of time, but The Letting Shop have always sorted everything out for me. They also provide rent guarantee which is important.

We have used the Letting Shop twice now to rent out our properties, and have on both occassions found the service to be nothing but Professional. The process was simple and was made easier but the efficient and professionalism of their staff.
The Property was placed onto the market and within one weekend Tenants had been signed up, thanks to Craig at Clacton Branch.
We have always found the management to be excellant and with absolute attention to detail in ensuring that the properties have been maintained, and the team in Colchester have always been responsive in ensuring that any tenancy problems that need resolving are undertaken without delay.
