I would not recommend using this estate agent. Before we have even moved in there have been a catalogue of errors including; the property being advertised to us verbally to come with white goods (when this was not the case), wrong monthly rent values (then after being corrected initially, were again increased above what was advertised), clerical errors with taking the first months rent which meant that all the tenancy paperwork had to be redone the day before the tenancy was due to begin, the property being left unlocked after we had been given the keys, urine stains in the bathroom sink and sticky marks on the carpet after it had supposedly been professionally cleaned. Basically we have learnt our lesson in you can not trust anything that is said verbally as they will tell you what you want to hear. Leaders will also not take any action unless you have written proof of what you are asking. Thoroughly disappointed in how they have handled our tenancy and we haven’t even had the keys for 24 hours. To add insult to injury, when moving out they are withholding the final rent overpayment for no reason. Also, do not enter into the 0% deposit scheme that they try to recommend because it doesn’t actually cover any deposit payments that upon moving out.... Read more

I wanted to recommend Leaders Poole for their huge help in buying my first flat. Unfortunately the flat Sale did not go to plan through no fault of theirs. There was hidden costs and unfortunately I had to pull out. Michelle and the rest of the team were brilliant, professional the whole way through. She tried her upmost best to help gaining information and went up and beyond on what I would expect an estate agent to do, was transparent throughout and put me at ease throughout what would have been a very stressful time. Communication was instant via email and they were always happy to pick up the phone, even in busy periods. Even after I had lost the flat they still helped out making sure the process ran smoothly and it was delt with compassion from what looked like both sides. If we could leave 0 stars we would, worst estate agent we've ever dealt with. Scammed into No Deposit Option, saying the Landlord would not accept the normal deposit option. It was explained that the money we would pay as a monthly fee would count as deposit money over the course of the tenancy. After the tenancy ended we found out that this was not the case. We were also told that there was plumbing for dishwasher and washing machine already done, that some work would happen before we moved in and the place would be professionally cleaned before we picked up the keys. This again was not the case, we had to pay for the plumbing and the Landlord would not reimburse, the state of the house inside was disgustingly filthy, and outside there was a lot of debris, old household items and general rubbish down the side of the house. Only after us chasing them for months via emails and voicemails (with very poor response rate from Leaders, never responding to emails or picking up the phone) they finally sent a cleaner round, but only to clean the extractor fan and to pick up the rubbish outside even later on. So in the meantime we had to sort everything else out at cost to ourselves. On top of this the place was described as being in good condition but dated decorative order, which we were ok with. However we had various leaks due to poor structure and problems with damp and mould. When this was reported instantly by us and through multiple inspections we had via Leaders we again had to chase and chase for responses from property management only to be told the Landlord would not fix the issues yet we had at this point paid £1000's in rent and they would not negotiate with the Landlord on our behalf. After the final inspection we had, the lady from Leaders that came round to do this advised us to complain to the property manager's supervisor, and stated on the inspection report that everything we had raised and reported previously was the Landlord's responsibility to fix and gave us the supervisor's contact details. We followed the inspectors advice, but never received a response from the property manager's supervisor. We were given notice via email less than a week later, again, after being told that the Landlord would not be fixing any of these issues. We managed to find a new home fairly quickly and they refused to let us out of the contract one month early, our complaint was never acknowledged or dealt with but the property manager then started emailing us multiple times a week for a forwarding address. Upon leaving, we had to get the property professionally cleaned, costing us £500, even though the property was in a dire state when we moved in (shown in check in report with amended photos and comments). Avoid Leaders at all costs.... Read more

My sincere thanks to the whole sales team at Leaders Poole, but in particular to Michelle who tackled and delivered a notably challenging leasehold property sale / purchase earlier this year. The transaction took several months to complete due to complications, some of which were already known, but others that emerged later in the process. Fortunately Michelle was readily available by 'phone and email, providing project management, expert advice and relentlessly chasing the solicitors and other parties for updates. I have no doubt that the purchase would not have been successfully concluded were it not for Leaders' proactive approach throughout - I speak as someone who paid a heavy price both in terms of time and money on a previous intended property purchase that fell-through in-part due to the comparatively poor service by the other estate agent dealing with it. It proved to me that when things become complicated you need professionals involved with the experience and motivation to get stuck-in and drive matters forward. Very happy customer, would definitely recommend! I’ve just completed the sale of my property which was marketed by Leaders Sales in Poole and listed back in December 2017. From first contact, their sales team were very friendly and took the time to understand my circumstances and requirements but were also in no way pushy which was great. On instruction, it took no longer than 2 weeks to sell the property which was fantastic and allowed me to find my onwards purchase even quicker than anticipated. Notice before viewings was always given and the team there consisting of Ian, Abbi & Michelle were always on hand to assist me with any questions or concerns I had. During the conveyancing process, the sale was adopted by the Leaders sales progression team where this sale was dealt with by Lucie. I have to mention Lucie too as she was a massive help along the way with going between both parties and helping to get vital answers to questions that helped bring the sale to its conclusion. Lucie was very friendly and her department is definitely a positive which helped to alleviate the natural stress associated with selling a property. Overall a very happy customer and I’m hoping Leaders can open a sales capability in the branch I’m moving to next, in which case I’d have no hesitation to use them again. From our intial interview, right through to the marketing, our contact with Leaders has always been consistently friendly, and we have felt that what can be a stressful time has been managed exceptionally well.
