Very poor service from the beginning. Firstly, they took photos of the house on a basic iPhone… Secondly, it’s been on the market since August and we are the ones chasing them up asking what’s happening, if we can market it more instead of them advising us what to do next Not only that, but we were meant to have a viewing on Saturday and we called them up asking what’s happening, they said they’ll call the viewer and see what’s happening. We waited around all day for a response as we weren’t sure whether they were coming to view the house or not… Would not recommend, going for another provider in the area... Read more

I highly recommend Rook Matthews Sayers West Denton office for your house sale. It’s a personal place to deal with. My sale was dealt with very professionally. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous at all times and helped me through the process, which took some of the inevitable pressure off me. The pictures that were taken made the house look very attractive and I’m sure helped generate interest. Edits to the sales information were done with the minimum of fuss, which was really helpful. The staff got it! If I had to leave a message, this was always returned promptly at all times, which is what you need. Full marks.... Read more

We have always used RMS when we have bought and sold in Newcastle. They were kind enough to allow us to access their services in person last year to ease our submission of relevant papers, etc, as Covid restrictions were becoming hard to circumvent and our time in Newcastle was limited.Our purchase was complicated by the resistance of the seller to move on as they promised and I felt ( at times) that I was leading the process to seek clarity. This of course could just be me feeling the stress of a home move from Birmingham to Newcastle. Ellie always responded to my communication and was always available to speak to. I found the team very professional and genuine. Importantly they didn’t just email. They phoned and spoke to you directly. The personal touch makes a big difference. Many thanks. Absolutely disgraceful service at West Denton Office, would never recommend anyone to ever use them! In paricular found Barbera to be totally incompetent in her job and unprofessional. My mothers buying process of which there was no need for mortgages or anything should have been straight forward, but thanks to Barbera my mother was ill due to the anxiety solely brought on by this terrible service. Barbera contacted us a few times asking things she should of been asking the seller not us buying. Asked me numerous times which solicitors we were using and told her every time it was the solicitors she told us to use as that is who they always deal with. At one stage she rang me and asked if we were still going ahead with the purchase of the house as she said we hadn't begun any of the process yet!! We had already received survey results of the property she was selling to us and had our own surver of our property booked for the following week so told her we were quite a way down the process. This woman doesn't have a clue what she's doing! When asking questions we were told to put them in an email and send it to the office. I sent 2 and still have no reply! They never answered any emails any of us sent. At one point both Barbera and another girl were on the phone to me and my brother at the same time trying to convince us to change a viewing date as they didnt have a battery for the fob for the garage we still hadnt seen inside of after asking for weeks... pretty much telling us it wasnt really important as it was the same as any garage! Could write many more instances but just so disappointed and disgusted with the service received. Barbera didnt even acknowledge my mother when we went for the keys. She didnt look up from her phone even after she had seen us at the door and knew who we were. Another man gave us them and when i asked a question he was also quite abrupt. Rude, unprofessional staff would advise anyone not to use this office.... Read more

We were on the market for 11 years with Rook Mathews and NOT one Viewing. They did absolutely nothing they said they would do on initiation back in 2008. Lucky we were not desperate to move. Months and years would go by without contact from them. I paid them upfront for advertising which I would advise against. Avoid this company for sure. They valued the property, initially, then gradually convinced me to lower the price to quicken the sale, that inevitably did not happen. I changed to another agent, and had 5 views in 3 months....
