Both as a sales and letting agent, Martin & Co in Crystal Palace is a pleasure to deal with. Not something I've ever said about any other estate agent or lettings agent/manager. Everyone there is just so nice, efficient, helpful, swift to get back to you - almost unheard of in the property business. There's none of that pushy, wheeler-dealer attitude that so many estate agents have, which makes you mistrust them. On the contrary, their honest, straightforward, personal style makes you feel at ease and well supported.
If it weren't for the cheerful, common-sense, pragmatic, can-do approach of James Gough when I was buying my flat, I don't think the sale would have gone through. The vendor and his solicitor seemed intent on hindering the process and pulled out of the sale at one point, which made my solicitor advise me to walk away. But thanks to James, we managed to seal the deal - and get a last-minute lease extension. The fact that he is a solicitor by training is also very reassuring.
Normally, I would try and manage my own rental property, but because James was such an ally over the purchase of my flat, I kept the team on as managing agents - and am 100% pleased that I did so. So many little things go wrong or come up, and they just deal with them with the least fuss and expense. It's so nice to deal with real people!

I have just sold my flat through James and team at Martin & Co.Throughout my 10 years of ownership, they continued to be reliable, friendly, helpful, responsive managing agents. They have proved to be equally good selling agents. I would have no hesitation in recommending them in every department. Many thanks once again to James and the team.

My partner and I rented a flat in Fulham from Martin & Co in November. Though the flat had many issues to begin with that needed to be resolved, I am giving them 5 stars due to the tireless work of our property manager, Francesco Moretti, who swooped in and ensured everything was dealt with swiftly and easily (for us, not for him!), which involved him constantly emailing and calling the council on our behalf, really advocating for us, all the while keeping us updated and making us feel heard. These issues did get resolved thanks to his work, and we are now really settling into our flat. I have rented a lot in London and know what a pain it can be to deal with distant landlords/property managers, but this could not have been farther from our experience with Francesco. Would 100% rent from them again due to this experience!

Francesco manages our property, he was a fantastically friendly and attentive chap from the onset who has worked with us and our landlord to address issues promptly and effectively - he’s a truly valuable addition to the M&Co team and we’re glad to have him!

Very happy with the efficient way that our flat is managed . The recent change of tenant was handled and completed on time even with several jobs that needed doing .

In the end I took my property off sale with Martin and co as I had very little interest in the 3 months I listed with them. They had 3 viewers, all local and I had to show 2 of them round the property myself. I moved to another agent and had an offer and had significantly more interest, viewings and offers within a month.
I think Martin and co target lettings much more than sales and the difference shows when comparing their listings with another agent

We were with Martin&Co 2 years ago and left as circumstances changed meaning we needed a different size property and when our tenancy was ending we headed straight back to these guys as our old property was back out on the market - so here we are back with this amazing letting agents, fabulous staff, professional and so friendly and back in our old place ??
Any problems with our property are sorted out promptly and problems are never to big and they are always there at the end of the phone.
Would highly recommend!
