From the first enquiry I made, every interaction has been professional, personalised and helpful.
Rose helped make a very difficult situation so much easier. When I had to find a home to rent on a tight deadline she was proactive and knowledgable and went out of her way to reassure and help me.
When moving into the property, Caitlin showed me round and walked me through the paperwork with a friendly professionalism and has been quick to respond to any queries I have had since.

Very few viewings achieved and even after reducing price by £15k to offers over £225k, they allowed an offer £20k below the asking price without apparently advising the buyer of the minimum price that I would accept being the advertised and already reduced price. My impression is that the agents were working on behalf of the buyer and not the seller.

My Dad, who is 88 years old, was moving into a retirement village. Martin & Co handled the sale of his house. Because I live so far from my Dad, I was unable to be with him throughout the process, but Karl and Beth were both there on hand to see that everything ran smoothly. We asked David Pike to sell our house in Hatherley. After having our offer accepted on our new property we urgently needed to sell our own house. We called David who came to our house the next day to take photos and the property was live within 48 hours. We soon had viewings booked in and ended up selling the house within 10 days. I just can't recommend Martin & Co highly enough. We've had an abundance of particularly difficult experiences with letting agents and the blurring of duty of care between landlord & tenant. This makes for a relatively traumatising stigma around renting properties locally, and fuels a lot of anxiety when taking on something new.
David has consistently gone far above and beyond to support us and facilitate a super quick tenancy. It's so refreshing to work with such a down to earth, human company, backed up with kindness and extensive knowledge. They've been more than willing to move mountains to meet our needs and it's been an absolute pleasure.

We rented our house in Cheltenham out for a year with Martin & Co as fully managing agents. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The tenants made many unauthorised alterations both externally and internally to the property. These alterations included drilling into internal and external walls, taking up kitchen floor tiles, putting up shelves in the front garden even though the house is in a conservation area, replacing stone slabs in the garden, removing the washing machine even after they had been told that this was not allowed due to it still being under warranty. The tenants also installed locks on the bathroom windows, but did not leave the keys, so now we cannot open those windows. Martin & Co did not inform us of these alterations, and frankly they did not seem to have noticed them, but instead we discovered them when we were sent photos of the property. We raised concerns several times pointing out that the alterations were unauthorised and that we had no way of knowing to which standard they had been made, but were told that this would all be put right when the tenants moved out and anything that wasn't put right would be taken out of the deposit. In March 2021, we informed Martin & Co that we wanted to give the tenants notice, but were then told that this could be seen as a 'revenge eviction', which is when a landlord evicts a tenant because the tenant has asked for repairs to be made in the house. We had never said no to any repairs which needed doing in the house, so this was simply very strange advice coming from a supposedly reputable letting agent. In fact, the tenants reported a problem with damp on one wall in November 2020, which we said to go ahead with and investigate, but by August 2021, Martin & Co had still not done anything about this.
When the tenants moved out, some of the alterations were put right, but many were not. Very little was claimed from the deposit. I was told that we could not claim anything for the stone slabs, because that could be seen as for the 'betterment of the property'. So now we are left with bathroom windows which we can't open, external shelves which shouldn't be there, stone slabs in the garden which don't match in colour etc.
We did not feel that Martin & Co represented us, we felt that they were constantly on the side of the tenants. There was no attention to detail, wrong advice was given and on several occasions I was interrupted when speaking to them on the phone. I would not recommend them as letting agents and we have now changed to a different agent.

We let a property through Martin and Co. Would never do so again. Despite problems with the property we didn't create a fuss and made the best of it. On leaving we left the property spotless but were charged for several hours of cleaning including cleaning of grout in the bathroom shower. Sure that was in the contract. But it really amounts to abuse of tennants and profiteering.
At one point we were asked to allow the entry of a plumber to inspect the boiler. My wife came home early only to find the plumber in our bedroom, which was odd given the boiler was in the kitchen. The following week I noticed my passport was missing. It never turned up even upon leaving the property 3 months later. Martin and Co were rude and patronising on informing them about the missing passport, they couldn't understand why someone might take a passport. "Identify theft" clearly wasn't something they'd heard of.
Disgraceful company. Avoid.

Martin and Co have been brilliant assisting us with renting our new place. Rose was lovely and did not rush us during the viewing. My Mum has not been well and she was so considerate when we called them a week later to say we would like the property . The first thing she asked her was how she was. Moira was very quick and efficient in getting the paperwork required to us and confirming receipt of payment. Aiden took us through signing the tenancy agreement and was happy to answer any last minute questions we had at the time. John was incredibly helpful during the check in. He pointed out the standard things we needed to know - water shut off, gas shut off etc but he also helped us plug in the fridge freezer and sort the oven as the applicances and sockets were new. I cannot recommend Martin and Co in Cheltenham enough they have made the process so much easier and straightforward for us and have gone above and beyond excellent service.

The whole team at Martin & Co have been amazing throughout my tenancy process. They are always quick to answer questions and their service is extremely professional. I have needed a couple of things doing to the property I rent (through no fault or doing of Martin & Co) and the process and timeframe for getting them rectified has been quick, efficient and very thorough. I could not recommend Martin & Co any higher and given previous rental experiences, I would not choose to go with anyone other than Martin & Co in Cheltenham.

We received fantastic service from start to finish. Our first contact was with Rose and her professional, personal and dedicated approach to customer service was second to none. Later communications were with Moira and she demonstrated an equally high standard of service whenever we needed assistance. Safe to say that they went out of their way to meet our needs.

I Would highly recommend them. When ever I have to phone the office all calls are answered quickly and dealt with efficiently.
All the guys in the office are really easy to get along with.
The selection of house are all very good and well maintained.

I'm a tenant and have found Martin & Co in Cheltenham to be great! Very professional and always quick to reply to queries and any problems we're having. They made the move-in process very easy. I would highly recommend them as Property Managers for your house. I own a couple of houses outside of the UK and the PMs I have are not very good. Lived in London and the PMs of the house I rented there were a nightmare. It's nice to know that there is a good PM company around!

Any problems I've had with the property (which hasn't been many) have always been dealt with promptly and professionally and never ignored. I have been renting my properties with Martin & Co for a few years now and sold a property via them more recently.
In my business, I work with several letting/sales agents and can honestly say they are by far the best.
They have excellent processes in place for every part if the business. The quality of the tenants I have had has been excellent and the management of the property itself is seamless. I often forget i have them!
On selling my house, it was the personal service that stood out. From the start, the property was marketed very well and to the correct buyer. Unlike some of the larger agencies, I felt they were realistic, honest and really focused on selling my property. My house sold within a week of them having it at the full selling price.
