I had an issue with my hot water while my usual property manager was away, and I was really impressed with the support I received from their replacement, Sarah Jones. She was incredibly responsive, kept me informed throughout, and went above and beyond to coordinate with both the contractor and landlord to get the problem resolved quickly. Her efficiency and professionalism made a stressful situation much easier. Thank you for the excellent service!

Really efficient service. I’d enquired about a property that fit our criteria perfectly but that was not available anymore. I had a call very soon after my enquiry with Ruby Franklin and when she said that unfortunately it wasn’t available she immediately suggested an alternative that was just as nice. She got me booked in straight away for a viewing and even managed to fit me in when I had to change the time last minute. Great experience

The flat we rent has been managed for several years by Stirling Ackroyd, and I’d like to acknowledge the ongoing support of David Umney in particular, whose speedy responses, great communication and readiness to address and resolve any issues when they (very rarely) come up has been so consistent and is hugely appreciated. David’s so approachable, and his professionalism and understanding goes a very long way in making renting with Stirling Ackroyd such a positive experience for us!

Extremely unprofessional experience. After 7 months of ending our tenancy, we are suddenly being chased for additional payments that were never mentioned at the time or in any of the multiple emails we exchanged.
Despite repeatedly reaching out back then to clarify matters, there was zero response. Now, long after we have vacated—and with several tenants no longer even in the country—this is being brought up out of nowhere.
To make matters worse, the landlord and agency demanded an unreasonable amount of money immediately after we moved out and even went as far as threatening legal action. This felt completely inappropriate and unnecessarily aggressive.
We paid our rent on time throughout and fulfilled all our contractual obligations. The poor communication, delayed claims, and overall handling of this situation have been incredibly frustrating.
Please never rent with them. The worst experience.

I've been working with Stirling Ackroyd for many years, and they have always provided a very good service for my rental property. They handle all aspects of the tenancy - they've always provided great advice on getting the best rental price, finding new tenants, covering all areas of compliance and ensuring that I comply with my obligations as a landlord. Terri Tristram is my contact there, and she always provides proactive, speedy and helpful advice. I'm very happy to be working with them.

I received assistance from Sterling Ackroyd while searching for accommodation around Guildford. The service provided by the agent Ruby Franklin was excellent. She was very communicative throughout the short period looking for rental places.

I would give this agent zero stars. I do not recommend working with them. Their main focus seemed to be securing a contract and taking their commission. After I faced multiple issues with my landlord, they withdrew and failed to manage anything. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing

He kept a cool head during some very tense moments and handled everything with calm professionalism, which made a real difference. I recently bought a property via the Clapton Stirling Ackroyd branch. As a first time buyer I found the process pretty daunting, but the team were always easy to contact, supportive and professional. It was a pleasure interacting with Aimee, Victoria, Marty and Sophie and I could not recommend them highly enough.
My experience was greatly improved by working with a team who were switched on and capable, but also kind and friendly. Definitely a much better experience than I have had with other estate agents! Thank you for all of your help

I had a really excellent experience with Ashleigh from Stirling Ackroyd nine elms while searching for an apartment.
I first met Ashleigh at an initial viewing, and from our phone conversation it was clear that she quickly understood my requirements. She proactively arranged a viewing for another property the very next day, which turned out to be a much better fit. Because everything was prepared in advance, when the first apartment didn’t meet my expectations, I was able to move forward immediately without any delays.
Ashleigh is incredibly kind, patient, and highly professional. She listened carefully to what I was looking for and used her expertise to suggest properties that genuinely suited my needs. Thanks to her efficiency and attention to detail, I secured an apartment I’m very happy with within just two days. She also went above and beyond to help coordinate the rent and the start date, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.
