Suggest you avoid renting through this estate agent at all costs, they were ok up until we moved in and then when we wanted to get any issues fixed they would take ages to resolve them (often months) despite following the correct procedure of creating cases through their website. For months we were left with windows that had huge gaps in them where the frame had bent - this was during winter so we had to spend loads extra on heating. We also had part of our ceiling fall down which they never repaired and a broken thermostat meaning we were without properly functioning heating for about a month.
The worst part came when we left and tried to get our deposit back, it wasn't even a matter of them just taking loads of money off or anything, despite always having paid our rent in full and on time they have just been stalling and stalling saying they need to speak to the landlord and are still yet to give us an amount or give any of our deposit back. It has now been 8 weeks since we moved out and 5 weeks since we started asking for updates about our deposit leaving me no choice but to go through the incredibly time consuming process of raising a dispute with the deposit company which is a process that can take up to 3 months to be resolved and stirling ackroyd have now stopped even replying to my emails despite my communication with them always being very polite and professional. Absolutely dreadful service.

If I could leave 0 I would. The type of agency to be kind to your face but really will bully/ trick you for money. They recently forced a tenant into situation where they would be homeless by getting new tenants to sign a contract for the property when current tenants did not confirm a date to move out or that they were happy to proceed (this is before original tenancy was completed).
Then they proceeded to mock and gaslight the tenant for being scared of homelessness. They also overcharged the landlord.
Not to be trusted. Terrible service.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
This agent has attempted to force my partner out of her current rental property. They started viewings on the home and agreed to let the new tenant move in before they confirmed a move-out date with her.
After she asked them for help. They attempted to guilt trip her and bully her into moving into a property that was not suitable.
Agent is not to be trusted. They routinely go back on their word. They have made my partner feel desperate and pressured as she has nowhere to go.
I cannot recommend any agent that would act in such a way.
They agree a contract with a tenant without the current tenant having a move out date!!!

I want to thank Darcey for the amazing support from the day that myself and my partner viewed at a property that we fell inlove and we've been accepted and collected the keys today!?? Darcey's commitment and care for me and my partner is above the standard, anything we were worried about or had any questions she was able to make us feel better and able to answer any of our questions. I want to also thank Katie alongside for the amazing support and was there if Darcey was busy. Thank you Darcey and Katie, if anyone was to ask where and who to go to on finding a property to rent or buy I would 100% recommend Darcey and Katie at Sunbury-On-Thames.
I'm looking forward in settling down at our new property!??
