6th Oct 2025 (10 weeks ago)Terrible service. Took my holding deposit. Didn’t assist with terrible online app for reference checks. Withheld deposit and actively viewed to others, without releasing. Had to go to an ombudsman to return capital, which took over 1 month. Dishonest sales team, who refused to help, citing ‘not my issue’. Please see below email raised to the ombudsman on 28/08/25. Withholding deposit returned on 24th September. Needless to say. An awful service from start to finish. Trying to withhold funds without due process.
17th Jan 2022 (3 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

I cannot speak highly enough of Aden and the effort he put in to the whole process. He was genuinely amazing and went above and beyond at each stage to ensure that we were kept informed and included in a process that could have been very isolating from a buyers perspective. Neil and Angus were incredibly professional, had great communication and I would definitely recommended and use them personally again in the future.

During the whole process which had many challenges Caroline, Paul and the team went above and beyond to get us completed on the property always keeping us informed and updated. I can highly recommend fowlers as they are so professional and have a lovely warm welcome. Thanks for the last 7 months

It was a challenging transaction but he remained calm and provided excellent and timely communication throughout.
13th Oct 2025 (9 weeks ago)Marcus and Abbie from the Cuckfield office handled our house sale in Cuckfield. Marcus of course in particular is well known within the village/town and has expert knowledge of the local housing market. Both Marcus and Abbie gave advice, handled viewings and successfully guided both ourselves and the buyers through the transaction successfully. In fact Abbie went above and beyond by memorably cleaning up our cat’s sick just prior to showing round a prospective buyer! I’m very happy to recommend their services to buyers and sellers in Cuckfield.

From a speculative phone call “Hi Harry, we’ve just realised we really like this street…” to having an offer accepted off market AND buyers for ours at over-asking, all within three weeks in one of the worst markets in recent memory…meant absolutely everything to us and made our dream move a reality. Between Harry and Joey, they delivered and were always, always willing to go the extra mile. The best agents in town, bar none. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
6th Dec 2025 (10 days ago)We were genuinely excited about a flat being let through Clifford’s. The property itself was lovely and ticked many boxes. Unfortunately, every interaction with the agency made us rethink entirely. At the viewing, the representative arrived completely unprepared, no knowledge of the flat and disengaged. There was no enthusiasm, no knowledge of the property, and no care shown for us as prospective tenants. It left us feeling more like an inconvenience than valued customers. Trying to follow up before/ afterwards was no better. Repeated phone calls were met with unhelpful responses that bordered on rude. It felt impossible to get clear answers or any sense of that they were keen to get the property let. No follow up, no suggesting or other properties. I’m not sure if they could have cared less. A beautiful flat shouldn’t be overshadowed by poor service - yet here, sadly, it was. Completely surprised by their 5 star reviews.

The communication throughout the process and the effort he put into keeping everything moving along the chain was incredible. We are so grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, or use him again. Kept me up to date on viewings, offers and sale progress without needing to be asked. Provided great advice on what to do and not do in order to market the house. Marketing was quick and easy. Loved the app so I could get realtime updates. I’m very grateful to Alex, Nick, and the team!
