No hesitation in recommending Fisher German.
28th Nov 2025 (20 weeks ago)AVOID GILSON GREY. No issues with the estate agents, but if they recommend Gilson Grey as your conveyancer, don't do it. I've never met a more useless bunch of "professionals". I've spent more than 2 weeks and 30 phonecalls trying to get someone to send in forms for my LISA deposit, a 5 minute task. Can't complete my purchase until then.

From the outset, she was approachable, professional, and always willing to help with any queries we had. Carolyn was accommodating in arranging multiple viewings and ensuring access for surveys, which made the process much smoother for us. She maintained excellent communication throughout, liaising promptly with the seller and consistently keeping us updated and reassured that everything was progressing as it should. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy or sell a property through Andrew J Nowell again because of the support provided from Carolyn, thanks again!

4th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)This review is nothing to do with a house sale but purely a thank you and an acknowledgement for the kindness and care shown to myself when my husband became unexpectedly ill near to their office today and the paramedics had to be called. The staff here were so kind to me helping me find a safe place to park our car, offering me support and even taking our 2 dogs into their office to care for them while I stayed with my husband. I do not know anyones individual names but we are both extremely grateful for your help in what was a very stressful situation for us.

The whole process of applying for a tenancy, viewings and dealing with the organisation of a lease can be very stressful but Helen was extremely helpful and made the process as easy as it could be. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the services of Fisher German.
28th Mar 2026 (18 days ago)I was in the unfortunate position of selling a probate property. I was recommended to use Gascoigne Halman, Holmes Chapel and was so glad I did! Throughout the whole process, Steph, Abby and Sarah displayed utmost professionalism and were with prompt information and action. No question was deemed too silly to ask and any external concerns were dealt with good, experienced advice and reassurance. Most importantly they recognised that this move was painful & sad and the team acted with empathy and compassion. Something that is rare to find nowadays... Something I am very grateful for...

They managed my rental property with absolute professionalism for 20 years, and they were the natural choice when it came time to sell. The transition from the rental side to the sales team was seamless, and they handled the recent sale with the same care and expertise I’ve come to expect. A special thank you goes to Sam on the rental side who is brilliant at sorting things out quickly, and Keegan on the sales side for great feedback!

From start to finish, Lisa went above and beyond to guide me through the process, staying professional and supportive, even with the unexpected delays. I truly believe the sale wouldn’t have completed without her efforts. Lisa’s communication was excellent, keeping me informed at every stage. I’m so grateful for all her help and would highly recommend her and the team.
12th Jun 2018 (7 years ago)Very poor service and customer experience. The photos taken were extremely bad, I even had to send my own in which weren’t good at all, but were far better than the ones they had taken. The write up on my property was that bad I had to re-write it myself. I had an offer on the property which I accepted, but the house never turned to “under offer” or “sold stc”, even after a month. On querying this, I was informed their process is that they don’t mark it as under offer or sold stc until after surveys etc. are completed, although they weren’t letting anyone view the property that rang up so there was no purpose of showing it still available. I now know this is a load of rubbish and it is the process to mark as sold stc or under offer, really it was because the buyers had pulled out on 3 other properties, information which the estate agents failed to tell me about. Lo and behold after 3 months, they pulled out on buying my property as well. During those 3 months Whittaker & Biggs pressurised me almost on a daily basis to get everything completed with my solicitor, telling me the buyers weren’t willing to progress with survey or anything until I had completed all legalities through my solicitor and there was constant pressure for me to complete it all. Being a first time seller, I did as told. This resulted in me incurring all my legal fees as everything had been done ready to exchange contracts, which I have now had to pay for and lost that money as the house didn’t sell again within 2 months of it falling through. I am now £600 down. If they had been honest with me about the buyers and the fact mine was the 4th property they had put an offer on, I would have been more careful on accepting their offer and doing anything with my solicitor. While the sale was still going through, the buyers had a survey completed, which bought up 1 minor thing which wasn’t even an issue and I was made to believe my house was falling down, the report was terrible, I’m going to have to get other surveys / work completed, I’m going to have to drop the price, etc. etc. All the pressure on me. When I received a copy of the report I couldn’t believe it and the huge mountain out of a mole hill that had been made. Everything was in the buyers favour and none of the service at all was in my best interests. The impact of having to fork out £600 for nothing and the wasted 3 months has had on me, my family and life is huge and still impacts us to this day. This is peoples lives their messing with and I’m so upset to have received the service I did.

27th Mar 2026 (19 days ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

The marketing was very professional with good photographs and videos, we got lots of viewings which were all handled by James. Also when things stalled while enquiries were being answered by both ours and the buyers' solicitors, James and Louise were extremely diligent in helping to move the process along which really helped us to complete on time. Would highly recommend Lord and Porter.
