After being asked lots of questions to ascertain my position and me asking about notes of interest etc they booked me an appointment to view. On the evening before the viewing informed me the property was under offer after being on Rightmove for 3 days!!! If I had furnished with proper information in the beginning we would have had time to make an offer

10th Oct 2019 (5 years ago)I've recently made my will and power of attorney, I've now lost count of how many times I've had to go in to the (Haddington) office as they keep on getting names and addresses wrong. Told them numerous times but clearly not paying attention to detail.

3rd Nov 2023 (1 year ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

I cannot speak highly enough of their services and would unreservedly recommend Aberdein Considine to anyone wishing a highly professional and competent estate agent.

As a first-time buyer with many friends who had had poor experiences with other solicitors, I was nervous about who to choose. I didn't need to be as Urquharts provided extraordinary service, explaining processes I didn't understand thoroughly, and solving problems quickly and efficiently. The communication was very good from the beginning, I really liked the advertising materials they produced and the process of getting viewings booked in was smooth, it was easy to keep an eye on the viewings, notes of interest and offers in the portal. 14th Dec 2024 (18 weeks ago)This is a do it yourself practice. If you know how to sell a house and want to pay full price then this will work for you. If you didn’t study law at university then maybe go elsewhere. The only thing they were quick with was replying to google reviews with “we have no record of this person”

My property was on the market quickly and I accepted an offer even higher than I was hoping for within two weeks. The photos and listing were of a high standard, the home report and solicitor were organised quickly by them (highly recommend using their recommended solicitor!), and their communication throughout the whole process was spot on. It was my first time selling a property and I felt truly taken care of every step of the way and got an even better, quicker result than expected. I can’t recommend Avenue Road highly enough!
