2nd Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)House moves are generally stressful and prone to all sorts of problems and our latest, moving from Dorset to Devon has been no exception. Briefly we pulled out of a purchase and didn't want to lose our buyers so decided to rent for a few months, something we haven't done in years. We checked out some properties and then contacted Colwills about one that had just appeared on Right Move. From the start the whole process was handled in an efficient, friendly and relaxed manner. I can't speak highly enough of the people working at the firm. The whole transaction ran on rails and what could have added unwelcome extra anxiety proved to be the polar opposite. Top effort and highly recommended. PS as a sideline they can even direct you to the best pasty shop in Bude. :-)

They have been friendly, polite, professional and more than helpful in dealing with us and our elderly mother. Thank you both and all the team. 8th Apr 2024 (26 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

25th Jan 2024 (14 weeks ago)Mark Kivell and his team, were brilliant from the beginning to the end whilst dealing with the sale of our Orchard and business. The initial valuation was very professional, yet friendly, and the fact that he had previously sold an Orchard a few years ago, to the fantastic drone footage, and feedback from him as well as his wonderful team. Even in these financially hard times, they achieved an above asking price offer, which proceeded very smoothly to the end. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, all.

We were kept informed every step of the way from viewings to offers and were always given good advice. Stags were willing to go the extra mile by checking on the property as we live some hours away and they even did the final meter readings for us - most appreciated! The staff were always welcoming whether in person or over the phone and we would highly recommend them.

26th May 2022 (1 year ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

7th Jul 2021 (2 years ago)Clean ( no litter), well laid out with clear maps so you can find the shops you are looking for, lovely gardens, good toilets, fair parking charges, very wide range of shops, plus cafes and snack stalls. Great if you enjoy shopping which I don't!! But if you have to go to a shopping centre this one must be one of the best - even I could tolerate it!!!
