16th Dec 2025 (5 weeks ago)My experience with this agency and specially his manager, DARREN MOTTRAM, was very disappointing. I had already hired my own solicitor, but the manager, DAREN MOTTRAM told me that the only way to use those solicitors was by hiring them through the agency. By doing so, the bill ended up being £1,000 higher for the exact same service. When I questioned this, he provided misleading information to justify the extra cost and even suggested that the sale could fall through if I didn’t agree. This approach felt dishonest and manipulative. I strongly advise anyone dealing with Barnard and Marcus to avoid hiring any service through them, whether solicitors, insurance, or anything else, because you will likely pay significantly higher fees. Always seek independent advice and compare costs before agreeing to anything.

Their recommended solicitors Juno were very good with automated workflow to keep things moving. Their guidance on pricing was accurate and realistic. Highly recommend using them.

It was a challenging house, and Abbie was always positive and enthusiastic . She knows her local market and has a wide range of contacts. 18th Oct 2025 (13 weeks ago)Valuation accuracy was slightly off, with a price reduction needed. However market conditions are tough with a lot of uncertainty and they were transparent with this. Initial communication on coming to the market was not great, with my main contact having to repeatedly be chased for updates. But when we got into a flow, communication improved. However first impressions count. Local market knowledge is excellent and with a smallish catchment area and good inter-office network I felt I was well represented.

Always very helpful nothing to much trouble and always put our minds at rest with little niggles as the sale took longer than planned. If your in need of an Estate Agent you couldn't be in better hands will without doubt use them if we ever move. Thank you for everything ????

28th Nov 2025 (7 weeks ago)We recently bought a home which was listed by Bhoday. Gosh I wish I had the words to describe the eliteness of the whole experience with them. Victoria and Justin really set themselves apart from the usual chain estate agencies. They are caring, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and just all round lovely people to deal with. Besides supporting us in purchasing their client’s property, they provided us so much guidance and referrals to services we needed to get our own property’s sale over the line. They were light years better than who we had listed our property with!!! (We regrettably did not know of Bhoday until after we signed a contract elsewhere). If anyone asks who we recommend to help them sell, it’s definitely Bhoday and will always be!! Thank you Victoria and Justin for everything you have done for us and our little family ??
