18th Jul 2025 (6 mo. ago)Charge customer for a expensive cleaning service, when ever the room got broken toile cover and unclean floor from the beginning.Even the wall are dirty with broken mirror on the wall. They don't even want to repair the house ?just continue checking and annoying. Respond: The kitchen floor and ceiling are always flooded with water, but they do nothing for the leaking. I need to clean the floor for many times. They should pay for my cleaning service aswell. No matter how clean when I clean up the room, they always told the tenant it's not clean enough and charge for a expensive cleaning service. They just want to get your money from the deposit. Don't trust them !
30th Jan 2026 (10 days ago)Recently rented a property through Lancaster's and the service was absolutely abhorrent. Were quick to get us in for a viewing and then proceed with the application but from then on any correspondence was at a bare minimum. Spent weeks chasing the letting agent (Daniel) for any answers, eventually finding out we'd got the property a few days before we planned to move. I have since found out that our landlord accepted us as soon as we applied and was having the same issues on his side and only found out we were moving into the property a day before we moved. On moving, we were only given a front door key. Landlord claims he gave the back door key too but this was lost by the letting agents. The property is a let and forget, meaning that after we had moved, any repairs or issues would be dealt with by the landlord direct; though it took three and a half weeks of emailing, phoning and eventually threatening to go stand in the shop and cause a scene for me to be given my landlords details so I could speak to him direct. This is all after Daniel begged me to leave a good review online (so glad I left it until I was dealing with the landlord direct). Overall a terrible service. I have worked in customer relations my entire working career and the service received was diabolical. Do thankful I now have to deal with the landlord and not Lancaster's direct anymore. Proceed with caution.

Buying a house is a very stressful time but they made every step easier and less stressful. Caitlin even called me on her day off to help with an issue. Thanks again ladies!

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

He has excellent knowledge of my village and the local area which I believe was a contributing factor in the sale of my property. Rob was friendly and professional at all times.
