8th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Within the webpage of Applegate properties there is a statement from Amy Wray, the Founder / Managing Director which starts, "My team are not just passionate about property, they're passionate about people [...]". I think this is 100% true of every single member of staff working there. The culture of an organisation is invariably based on its leadership and how they support their staff to do their job well. My experience (despite the house sale falling through due to extreme circumstances outside of the control of anyone but the family buying), was incredibly positive. The staff communicated with me regularly both in the initial instructions ensuring my needs were considered, their advice and guidance to make the best impact for selling my property and the ongoing communication was exemplary. I was made aware of what was happening at regular intervals and Claire felt like a personal friend by the end of it. I say that without her ever crossing any professional boundary - it was her innate ability to care, to make you feel like she wanted what was best for you and your home as much as I did as the seller. She was brilliant when I was the buyer of a property and again kept me up to speed with consistent updates. She did everything she said she would do and more. Obviously when a house sale falls through, and at the 11th hour, it is devastating - the impact is indescribable - the fall through of the sale and the inability to purchase the property you have set your heart on - it hurts. The company, all staff at Applegate, and particularly Claire cared so much then. Whilst it is a business - the financial impact to them, the time and effort they had put in - all that felt like it came second. Instead I felt that for me as the customer, my questions, my feelings and upset were all taken and held so carefully and thoughtfully that it truly helped with the outcome. To end on Amy's statement on their website "[...] It's essential to be completely invested in our clients and have their best interests at the forefront" - I felt Applegate and specifically Claire truly invested in her client and she always had my best interests at the forefront. I am taking a wee break from house selling however I will be back with renewed vigour and I have no doubt which estate agents I will be using. I highly recommend Applegate and will absolutely be back on the market with them as my agents when I decide to sell my home again. Thank you Claire, Amy, Seren, Hannah and all the team there for being an asset to the house buying and selling industry and to Applegate. You are true to your values and so much more. Thank you so very much for everything.

From the first contact, Anne put us at ease, went through all our options, very positive and answered every question possible. In a situation where there is lots of new information to take in, Anne was very patient and checked in regularly. So glad we choose to use William H Brown. Our estate agents we were selling with were awful which highlighted quite how amazing Heidi was, she supported us through the process and was there for anything we needed and even phoning solicitors to get things moving quicker for us! 12th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)I came to Martin@co for a property everyone I have dealt with have been polite and helpful Jack helped me with my paperwork and I felt very warm welcomed by Martin @co so thank you Jack. The lady staff are also very polite and friendly and was very helpful when I got stuck with paperwork they stopped at nothing to help me. Lovely caring company I have recommended them to some of my friends also.
7th Sep 2024 (5 days ago)Well, where do we start. What a nightmare. If you fancy a very stressful, prolonged, agonising house move, pick Fiona from Simon blyth. She is the most arrogant and difficult estate agent I have ever come across. We were purchasing a house which she was representing and she done nothing but moan about being the point of contract for her vendors. I’ve never had such a stressful move and Fiona done nothing to help. Every time I contacted her to chase her vendors or vendors solicitors it was a problem and a massive inconvenience to her, even though it was her vendors holding the whole sale up. Fiona had no interest in pushing the sale through promptly at all. It got to the point where she wouldn’t even talk to me or my solicitors, her office staff Chloe and grace just palmed me off and I never got a call back. What ever you do avoid this cowboy outfit unless you love stress. I feel sorry for the vendors who had to pay them.

17th Mar 2024 (26 weeks ago)Terrible estate agents! Preys on the poor by providing shoddy and in many circumstances illegal places to live (no running water, black mould problems, unclean communal areas) and then refuses deposits back when tennants no longer want to reside! I would stay clear.

31st Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have been using Dawson Estate for all my property sales and rentals for years. The service really is amazing. I am consistently particularly impressed with the way they do sales. Their advice is always excellent. The photos for the properties are taken by a brilliant professional photographer, the advert goes up really quickly and they engage wonderfully with buyers to arrange viewings. The process to accept an offer is full of good advice. But, as if this wasn’t enough, their follow up of the sale is second to none. I had previously experienced how other big agents let things stagnate. Not Matt. He will keep the process going. The communication with all the parts involved is outstanding. I just can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you to Matt, Deborah and Nicola for everything you do!

The initial meeting and valuation of the property was conducted professionally and with a relaxed but reassuring manner that a sale would be achieved at the expected valuation. The property was placed on the market within 24 hours and they arranged and conducted the viewings on our behalf. The communication with regard to the viewings and feedback was excellent. We would highly recommend Home & Manor
